I have that exact same outboard
Good job buddy
Would you be willing to repair my Johnson 140 bro 1982
Why are you wet sanding the lower unit? That paint going to peel off relatively fast! Especially the lower unit!
I am thinking about doing something like this with my 115 1977 Johnson, any Tips?
I should have probably used the correct Johnson paint instead of gloss white. I would use that next time
Nice job. I had a 1978 Johnson 140 that almost every season I had to redo the lower unit and mid section. The white was pretty, but tough to keep nice. Question, why did you put the Sea Horse (About the J) on crooked?
Crooked sea horse was not intentional haha
Wow nice Job! How many cans of white did it take you? and what king of sanding paper did you take?
Thanks Alex. Wet and Dry sand paper fine grit. Used a few cans at least. Can't remember exactly how many.
It really bothers me that you did not cover the table before spraying the cowling. Lmao but overall great job.
Me too, being lazy!
You need a stainless Raker prop, even know this boats NOT high performance, it will still perform better!
They don’t make ‘em like they used to
Nice! But it looks like you cheated and got professional help with the decals. :)
Haha yes! Definitely easier with a straight eye to help.
