How's it been? And what camera are you using? Just got mine yesterday i have an even in a few hours lol so scraping and scrambling looking for a good tutorial
Great video. Thanks for sharing 😊 I just bought the RS4. Not sure if I should exchange for the pro! I’m using a fx3 with a sigma 24-70! Please suggest. Thanks
It's the same setup with me. I have added a Ronin sc motor. But I can't control the motor by front wheel when it connect to RS4 by the usb-c named with image transmission. But I notice it can work in your side. I don't what's different. My RS4 firmware is the latest one.
When I try the balance test , it only shows me access to watch the videos. On my rs2 I tilted the camera forward and it completed a 15 second test to tell me if I needed to adjust my balance. Here I don’t have that. It only shows the videos. Did they remove the balance test with the RS4?
Why they didn't do start / end points for all FIZ controls? It seems like a major oversight. I'm new to bigger gimbals so maybe there is a reason to that and someone could explain.
Hi, is it normal for the rs4 to rattle a little bit when it's off?? Very very slight rattle.. but completely silent when i turn it on. Sorry, this is my very first gimbal and i don't know if gimbals are suppised to rattle a tiny bit when it's off.
Does the M button do anything in video mode for a Canon camera? I have a R6 Mark II and can't get the button to do anything in video mode. Appreciate any help!
I am looking to build the exact same setup as i am a GH5s user as well. Question: Have you tried to use the Active Tracking feature using the USB-C cable connected directly from Camera to Gimbal? (Lumix camera can bypass RavenEye box apparently) I've been looking around everywhere to see if anyone tried that with the RS4 (Not pro version) and see what were their thoughts on it and also to see how it worked. I am trying to see how would that ActiveTracking feature would work. Like do you absolutely need the phone app to make it work properly or just plug and play with the cable and that's it?? Trying to figure out before buying between the regular and Pro version. (Pro version having the build-in screen feature for that so it's easy to setup the tracking box)
For anyone wanting the answer to this in the future: I tested it myself. Bought the RS4 (Not the pro version) and it does work. No need for the raveneye or video transmitter to have the active tracker work with the Panasonic Lumix camera. Just plug and play with the usb C and you are good to go. No need to use the phone app either. You just need to put your camera in animal/human autofocus mode and tap the trigger on your RS4 and that's it. It will now track whatever subject it has in focus detected only it drops out of view
@@Dragoonthefox hi there, and please help me, haha. I'm completely new to film making and gimbals - I have the GH5s, and am looking at buying the RS4 (not pro) combo, which comes with a focus motor. The may sound stupid, but do I need anything else to get accurate focus? Eg, will the camera's auto focus settings suffice once the camera is plugged into the gimbal? Thanks for any help you can provide.
@@NessNayii It's a bit tricky.. You cannot do both at the same time. You have to manually switch the camera into manual or auto focus mode. So yes it will autofocus with the camera itself just like if you had it handheld. But if you want to use the focus motor you have on the gimbal you have to put the camera in manual focus but than you loose that autofocus. THe focus motors are really meant for the ciname lenses that has no autofocus at all.. Another option is the LIDAR attachement from DJI + video transmitter i believe. But thats more expensive. The lidar will do the autofocus for you and control de focus motors itself. So by doing that you will have the camera set to manual focus so you can now use the finger wheel to minor adjust at any time the focus.. Tho you lose the autofocus fonction of your camera. It will be the LIDAR doing the work instead
@@Dragoonthefox thanks so much for the reply - very much appreciated. Yeah this does sound very fiddly! Not ideal when already moving around trying to frame your nice motion shot. I did look into the LIDAR - it looks fantastic, though yes, the pricing is certainly an issue. Also, whilst I couldn't find a definitive answer, there seemed to be clues indicating that it only worked with the Pro version of this, though that may be just me misinterpreting information I didn't fully understand.
I love the balancing section, where you just skip it basically. "Oh, I did that earlier." Thanks so much.
Could you do, or have you done, a video about these gimbles for people who have never used one? How to use it for photo/ video shoots?
I just got one yesterday. Can't wait to try it out

One of the most professional videos I’ve ever seen. Thanks

Do you need a transmitter attachment to use the app like that, or is it available on the base RS4?
Thank you very much for the video. Very helpful information. I bought the RS4 and this video gave me overall information about the gimbal 🙂
I have an old Canon rebel T5. Will it be compatible with the Ronan 4?
Hi, Thanks very much your video! Can you show how to lock a focus with the gimbal?
so much better than the official video on the DJI Channel

Good job
Great audio! What did you use?
Should probably checking the embargo date again 😂
I swear DJI be funing right now because other UA-camrs also realesed it
They told us 8am. We released it at 8am.
@@PilotInstitute Well okay, maybe a mistake from DJIs side. Btw wasn’t meant personally
How does the gimbal communicate with the camera?
Bluetooth or a USB C cable.

I wish you would have shown the vertical shooting mode as well.
Finally an in-depth review
Which charger is best for RS 4 to charge battery?

Can you use that red dial for focus while you use the lidar?

Im confused, do all gimbals, require a focus motor?😮
TKU SIR
Great video. Can you tell if this Rs4 is the same size as the Rs2? Can this Rs4 work comfortably with a Sony a7iv and 24-70 f2.8 lens?
RS4 will definitely work comfortably with any Sony alpha.
great video, do you think this gimbal can balance the EOS R5C? I prefer the smaller and lighter RS4 and not the pro version
It has a load capacity of 3kg (6.6 lbs) so it should.
@@PilotInstitute how about the back clearance?

Do u need the combo to be able to control gimbal with the phone or?
you can use the gimbal trough phone via bluetooth without buying the combo version

because i got rs4, and its only the gimbal :v

If you get the combo it comes with the extra stuff. It’s the normal rs4. Also he might’ve bought the bigger battery seperately

just update it, mu rs4 pro have it
