Your channels are quite the favorites of mine. I thank you so much for providing me with such pleasant "company." I do not have the opportunity to keep company with anyone other than my 4 year old granddaughter 99% of the time, which situation gives me great happiness. I much prefer spending time with you, Mr. Coles, than with in-person acquaintances.
How very very kind!🙏 We are certiain your 4 year old grand-daughter is very happy indeed to spoend time with you! they are the memories which last a lifetime and shape their view on the world for the rest of thier adult life! Thank you so very much for your kind comment and kind support! 🙏 We are hoping to be able to connect direct with everyone in the new year! We will be sending out a request for timings in our next Sunday community post - please do take a look if you can and send back a response! our hope is to start a new series and new approach to the channel. As always I very much enjoyed your video .Thanks for sharing with us to enjoy. Am I right in thinking that the laws against falsely accusing some one of buggery changed buy the late Victorian era and later while the thing itself was still a crime?
Yes, you are right! 👍It was a commentray of the times with limited means of survival or getting ahead. There was an explosion of scam artists in Victorian times, but it took a different form.🤔
I believe gin was a scourge among the poor for a long time!! I suppose it was because one could manufacture it cheaply?! This was EXCELLENT, as per usual, Robin and team!! 💞❤🌟👍👏
People in the 18th century put nutmeg and mace in everything lol. Lots of use of cloves, too. I suppose you’d frequently end up with ingredients that were bordering on going bad, though, so I’ve always assumed the heavy spice flavors would cover up any taste of spoilage.
Great point!👍You are right - they were really popular - nutmeg was super expensive! Ummm, we know the histryof our food - was it to cover the taste up?😉
Yeeeehaw! My favorite. 🤠
Thank you for researching and sharing. 😊
🤗Thank you! 🙏 We are wishing these were more popular...🤔

I thought gin was made in the Netherlands
Gin in England was a big thing! It became something of a crisis as it was so cheap and, oftentimes, made iwth questionable filler ingredients. 🤔
