I was feeling so anxious all day and nothing was helping until I stumbled upon this video; somehow the presenter's voice and demeanor helped me to finally calm down and immerse in the stories fully. The way he talks about the people in the stories, with such empathy and kindness, makes you feel connected with humanity, even though these people who are long gone. Especially the stories of Daniel Lambert and Baby Doe Tabor. The Baby Doe story made such an impression on me I had to pause the video and search more about her, I wanted to check if she had any surviving family (sadly none) and found out her beautiful antique bed from her "rich times" was on an auction just like 10 years ago! (no idea if anyone bought it but you can google it just to see it)

Baby Doe sounds fascinating. I'm going to research more. To have lived in such luxury without being welcomed by her society and then resorting to live in squalor when her fortune changed suggests that she was never a gold-digger - she simply lived with the hands life dealt her and with her own sense of pride, resilience, and acceptance rather than trying to fit in.

Thank you very much Paul, you're a natural storyteller and a wonderful one at that.
I also appreciate so much the extensive research that you conduct.
Baby Doe Tabor was an incredible woman for all of the right reasons and her disgraceful treatment at the 'hands' of her peers was nothing more than delayed jealousy.
Moondyne Joe deserved a medal for tenacity if nothing else, and fair play to the Governor for keeping to their word and granting him a pardon.
    Take care Paul.
