How many would you say were in the stadium? Less than 5,000, I'd say. Maybe 2 or 3, 000. This is the premier rugby competition in NZ/Australia? Looks like the Auckland public couldn't give a toss about this competition. I remember, back in the day, you'd get a bigger crowd on a Saturday afternoon to watch Ponsonby play University or Grammar. That was before they killed club rugby, of course.
People would rather watch 4k TV with large beer jug and hot fries for under $30 in Pub

Na, it say more around the 10k to 12k mark, in a stadium that is, what a 50k capacity.
It’s a hard sell to convince people to have to spend quite a lot of money to go out in the cold wet weather, leading up to winter. throw the parking/traffic dilemma in the mix. Overpriced food and drinks. Squashed into Some crappy little plastic seat. No commentary to listen too
I don’t blame them! I’d much rather watch it at home for free.

@@JTAIT-b7g I've been to 0 games. I'm a lifelong kiwi rugby fan, and this year I can barely bring myself to watch the highlights for super rugby, I dread the thought of having to watch a whole game. Rugby is so boring now, especially when I compare it to the excitement of the NRL. Sad really. Too many cards, too many scrum resets, very little ball in play minutes.

Super Rugby nowadays is Kiwi sides vs Aussie sides and a mediocre side from Fiji🤣 No wonder why the All Blacks can't win world cups anymore. Even the Japanese league is more competitive.

The effort and execution of the Brumbies was inept it destroyed my confidence in any Australian revival. I have been hanging in for years, even after the RWC, now dead. Both sides had the same slippery ball. Cancel the Lions tour!

There's just something lacking in this generation of Australian rugby player , it's like subconsciously they know they can't win the big games because years of losing has become the norm . I really hope Joe Schmidt can work some magic . winning the bledisloe would actually be a good thing to break the black cloud thats hovered over Australian rugby from years of losing . Ireland broke the cycle of losing i can't see why Aussie can't .

These highlights were incredibly boring. And I don't blame the teams. It's how the game is played now at the top level with the laws put in place by world rugby. 5m driving line out. 5m scrum. 2 phases 10m out and score. The game has become so set piece dominant, that it has led us to highlight videos without any enjoyable rugby highlights. World rugby needs to do something.

Again similar to the performance against the chiefs, Brumbies need to assert themselves better against the stronger sides, that is how you become a championship team, Debrazini needed to start he has a better temperament than Lolesio, too many schoolboy errors, 7-0 in the 20th minute gets an escape penalty and than again a kickable pen just to go to touch and loose the ball, 5 min later concede a try, this is a very very poor performance absolutely no consistency.
Indeed, I thought Debreczini was the better flyhalf than Noah
