For a pass to be forward, it has to be thrown forward and that's why they look at the hands. A ball is allowed to travel forward after it leaves the hands if the wind gets hold of it or through momentum. Just an example in the video... if you throw the ball over your head to the guy behind you while both running at speed, he will catch the ball further down the field than you threw it because your momentum will carry it forward. That is a legal pass.

The referee and TMO were terrible for both teams and almost ruined an awesome game. World Rugby needs to up their game
AB are starting their long time approach with “beyond the rules” shoulder and head play, don’t just red card them, ban the players like was done to bok player in the North.
Only wrinkle was NZ complaining that the crowd tried to intimidate the All Blacks during the Haka.
While I don’t condone bad behaviour, I find it ironic that the very purpose of the Haka is to intimidate, but when someone intimidates back you guys cry and complain.

Look at time 10:01, and watch both 13 and 14 go for an intercept. Trying the 'flash Harry' and then looking stupid as they weren't in position. Hence Clarke has no-one against him. How many tries does Colby get via intercepts?. Reminds me of Habana. He was good but so many of his tries were intercepts.

@@Jonkronn There is a video on the official WR UA-cam channel that deals with forward passes, it has been up for over 12 years. For a pass to be forward, it has to be thrown forward and that's why they look at the hands. A ball is allowed to travel forward after it leaves the hands if the wind gets hold of it or through momentum.
Just an example in the video... if you throw the ball over your head to the guy behind you while both running at speed, he will catch the ball further down the field than you threw it because your momentum will carry it forward. That is a legal pass.
