Then Carmella says wow that definitely wasn't a marriage made in heaven. Also with Sal he was on the run before he came back in season 2 so Carmella could've just thought he left Angie again
Yeah I mean there's definitely a lot of willful ignorance there. But Tony also used the witness protection program as an excuse. Or in the case of Jackie Junior, a couple of black guys. Ultimately, if Carmela were to think too hard on it, her entire cushy life would come crashing down. As shown in the scene where she goes to therapy, she prefers to keep the moral blinders on.
The my daughter’s dead scene at the Saint elzear festival is one of the darkest in the whole show. The way they juxtaposed the carnival at night and Liz confronting carm about Ade is like an eerie nightmare

Yeah the guy has no respect. If anything I’d say he has an awful lot of contempt if he is gonna push your mother too… because it seems like an extension of the disrespect for her. A lot of the time the way these guys treated women was terrible.
Christopher disrespecting and hurting Liz in her on home , and using THAT as an opportunity to propose to her daughter let us know exactly who he was and how this relationship would go; I never understood why Ad didn't react more to that. That line probably haunted her forever. All through the series the guys consider themselves honorable because "you don't touch the family, wife, kids" but the show constantly demonstrates this is a lie.
