Krysten - You are absolutely spot on! The most important thing a person can do is show up, be present, be available for a person struggling with their mental health ~ Natalie Steele David - I see you, I honour you and your story.
I resonated so much with his descriptions of his experience with mental health issues. I found myself especially in the last 5 years having very similar kinds of thoughts and feelings. I have also gone for help with a therapist which has been helpful, and thankfully I also did have 2 friends that up to a certain point I was able to be raw and real about my experiences and they managed to stick around with me. But what is have not been able to find is a life partner, and I feel that my mental health is to blame. Yet when I see testimonies like this one where people do manage to find someone who is accepting and willing to commit to you even though they already see there are substantial challenges ahead... I mean I think that’s awesome and I am happy for those who are able to find someone special like that. But since that has not been the case for me, I struggle with a lot of bitterness and depression because of it and I struggle to believe I will ever find someone who would want to marry me. I feel like I don’t have much to give and it seems from my experience that my struggles only repels any kind of potential relationship.
Hi Ana, thank you so much for your honesty and vulnerability. We are so sorry to hear that you are suffering. You are not alone. We see you and we hear you. And we hear your heart's desire to find someone to deeply share your life with. Don't give up hope. You are more than you think you are. You are enough. You have things to offer. You have purpose. You Belong Here!
Thanks David for opening up regarding your mental health struggles and your perspective as well Krysten. Such an important subject to talk about openly and to reach out as you did. We have no idea just how many are dangerously suffering in silence. Bless you guys.
Thanks guys! That’s our goal and we’re loving the journey. It’s all new for us creating content and building an online community. We know you guys are way ahead on that path and we’d love to get some tips from you :)
I can say with all sincerity, I think this is one of the best things I have seen, certainly in 2020 this ranks as one of the best, next to 23 hrs to Kill (Seinfeld latest Netflix stand up)....talk about juxtaposition. David, I have interacted and got to know your dad Paul, over social media to this point, but I am hoping to meet in person sooner than later. Thanks for this. God bless you
Wow. Such raw stories. Thank you for sharing them. It's so important. I've always been surprised with the overwhelming support I receive when I finally make myself vulnerable. We need to remind ourselves that the support is there. P.s. I'm so impressed at how you both held it together and articulated so well!! I would have been such a mess!!
Hi Guys! David you are brave and I really appreciate hearing your story, if you are ever interested we have stories that collide. Take care, I am glad that you have come through it, and are seeing the joy that is there waiting for us. We love you guys!
