Trapped baby fox gets some human help!

- With the older fox cubs now beginning to explore a little further from the safety of their Earth, many of them are getting a little tangled in the mess we leave behind!
Sadly, entanglements in netting is something most wildlife rescues deal with frequently and, if not found in time, they can have some devistating consequences!
Luckily for this little cub, Lawrie was soon on the way to help...

I've been watching Simon and friends for more than 30 years now. I used to watch his tv show from about the late 80's (he had very wild dark hair then) and it used to be on around 4 or 5 am.
I love how far he has come and can only imagine the countless little lives he has saved. The tireless effort that the whole team puts in is inspiring.
Learning the reality of his situation when we did was really upsetting. But I wanted to say, that very few of us make such an immeasurable difference to the world and people around us like Simon has. The legacy that he will leave behind is truly monumental. Thank you and Love to all at Wildlife Aid. ❤❤❤
Agreed true so true.👌👌🙌🙌
What a lovely comment. I totally agree with every word. Simon is a truly wonderful man ♥
Yes, i can still remember that tv program, i used to watch that too! 😊❤❤❤
I also remember the tv show, Loved it ❤
And I'm happy that I found WAF on UA-cam 😍🥰🥰👍🏻
❤❤❤😊
There should be tv ads telling people to lift their nets up! Well done Wildlife Aid 💜
And every net should be sold with a warning about the dangers they can pose to wildlife.
Few years ago I had to free a hedgehog tightly wrapped around its neck by a neighbour’s net, not easy a delicate operation but ‘twas ok.
And young fox teenagers, and fox children should not be playing football. They should be out stealing chickens!
Bravo to you! Thank you for saving this precious little one. 🧡🦊🧡
It boggles my mind that the public is not cognizant of the importance of removing, or lifting netting when not in use, to save wildlife.
Lawrie youre such a blessing. Animals cant speak as we do but I'm confident they truly love you.
Aww his little confused face of what are you doing to me huma?
Beautiful little fox, looked chilled out too. Thanks for saving him 🙂
You put smile on my face. EVERY TIME.
THANK YOU.
I love those cute little forest puppies so much!
Much love guys. Great to see you help them & the cub not being too angry😃. There are a lot of local wild mammals & birds not so lucky up here in Fife just now. Folk drive so fast, even along country roads... & the little precious ones get it! Why the hurry?? So much beauty and reality missed - getting nowhere particular FAST... and little lives lost. Sigh 😢
I see it every day. The number of dead animals on the roads where I live is increasing as it becomes more populated and more businesses are appearing.
These idiots road-rage and speed just to hurry and go faster & faster....35 & even 45 miles per hour is just not fast enough for them...and they just plow down little innocent animals that are trying to cross the road that we've paved through the middle of their habitat.
Yep, I'm one of those folks who cry when they see roadkill. It's so awful and so sad.
And you're so right. The speeders are oblivious to the beauty of nature around them, & so uncaring about the little lives they destroy.
I feel like people's hearts are getting colder & colder here in the US. Videos like this one help me to know that there are still good people out there.
@@JamieM470 Thank you for replying Jamie. Rightly - or wrongly my mind targets these damned huge 4x4s. Many many young women around here are driving these things (peeking over the steering). They take up over half the roads & no room to manoeuvre with WIDE tyres. Even my little Kia has to squeeze in to make way for them. Yes - the little Vauxhalls & Peugeots too present problems. As I say - all of them are only getting to 'the end of the line' faster & completely missing out the beauty of life in between.
@@billywhyte6693 Those vehicles (and their hoods/field of vision) are so high off the ground that they're increasing human deaths--including deaths of their own drivers, because they don't have to meet safety standards of cars.
Eye-opening video, if you have the time: ua-cam.com/video/jN7mSXMruEo/v-deo.html
Cars are not designed or crash-tested for collisions with huge trucks, and if one of these oversized SUV's or pickups hit a pedestrian, it's usually fatal because there's no rolling off the hood like with a car. The point of contact is the head & chest. Little kids & animals especially don't stand a chance.
Great job well done foxy 🦊
I love u guys..I donate 5 pounds a month. By auto..not rich..but love ur work and love foxes. Go waf
Love ya Wildlife Aid for all you do. Thank you……
Idiots never learn that nets like these are dangerous to animals. Put them up when not in use!
you are so good at these rescues well done!
Thank you so much!
The look on that fox's face is just like "oh it's you guys again, thank goodness"
awww baby ♥ I'm still impressed with how British people care enough to call somebody to save the animal, not to save their net. ♥
🇬🇧 Not just us Brits surely? People from ALL countries would do the same, including the US. Netting can be mended or bought again: fox cubs are living creatures who can't be allowed to die horribly in netting.
Thank you sooooo very much!!!
I hope all the people that call you about net entanglements fix their nets so no animals are entangled again.
It's almost always those dumb nets. Great Job, Lawrie and team!
0:26 Lawrie Brailey (Fox Food) 🤭😂🤣
What can we say... it's accurate at least ;)
@@wildlifeaid 😂👍
Thank you!
Thank you for looking after all the wildlife 🦊🦊🦝🦝🐭🐭🐰🐰🦔🦔🦢🦢🦆🦆
Foxes are such beautiful animals. It must be nice to watch them playing in the garden.
It’s obvious that word has spread around the fox community, “Don’t fight Laurie, he will win anyway!”❤
relaxed little chap ❤❤
Well done WAF!
I absolutely love foxes. They are so beautiful!
Good job. Great the baby was returned.
hows simon doing is he alright
Thank you❤😊
Poor little foxy. You're the best saving him/her You're the best.
Poor baby, good looking cub though.
👏👏 WELL DONE another great job and video guys. Thanks 💖😁
Again, thank you WAF for all you do for these animals. Amazing work and dedication from all of you. Have to say, the look on the little fox's face when Lawrie first arrived was like, "are you the guy some of the others have told me about?" 🦊♥🤗
I wonder if they in some way communicate to others how nice it was to be freed from entanglement. I believe they do because the animals seem to sense the lack of danger while being rescued. The little fox was incredibly docile.
I dont know is Lawrie old enough to be doing this with no Simon? :D
Lawrie has actually been with us for just under 10 years now! :)
Thank you for doing this important work. You are amazing people.
Man calling Wildlife Aid: A fox is caught in my football net.
I'll change from football to basketball to avoid getting foxes caught.
Man calling Wildlife Aid: A squirrel is caught in my basketball net.
Wish I could encounter foxes. Where I live we only have jackals 😊
Love watching how Lawrie morphs into Simon on every video 😂 Great save and educational chat at the end btw. Thanks for taking the bubba back to be checked ❤ then the release 😢 love ♡ WAF (hi to all there) xx
great job as always and you are the best at following through and making sure vet attention gives the little fox
all that is needed to thrive - it is terrific to watch you work at saving so many -
We should mandate the insertion of a warning document in the packaging of these products explaining the dangers that they represent to wild life.
Totally agree
It should be on the front of the packaging, in big, bold letters.
I love these video so much and think about all the areas of the Uk where there is no WAF. ❤ you guys are an essential service as far as I’m concerned
You can see by the calmness with which it left the box how well it was treated. Great work, everyone.
Thank you for helping the fox! 🤗
I didn't have the impression it was feisty. I considered it rather co-operative and thankful.
Do the ppl have plastic lawn in their garden??? 🤦♂️
Thanks Wildlife Aid team 👍
Thank you for saving this baby and making sure he is ok. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bless his little heart. I cant cant the number or little foxes and other animals trapped in nets. Store nets and crap when not in use people and watch out for animals when you have them out.
Fox: "Hold up, if I get trapped in netting, I get a FREE massage & a meal?"
Aw, that was close! So glad he ended up OK and not too bad from his injuries. We had a Bald Eaglet here in the US get tangled in fishing line, and it got left for 5 days as it got tighter and tighter while people from the nest fought over whether or not it needed rescue. I knew as soon as it all started it wasn't going to make it, after watching and. listening to your videos, and I was right. They rescued, but too late. 3 days after a rescue (it got left for a week) it needed to be put down due to sepsis and infection. heartbreaking. So glad you are responsive and quick!
That is so sad to hear....😢😢
You are the tops.
Goodo! Yet another Reynard saved! Thankyou team! ❤ XXX
Makes you wonder what their mothers think when they reappear a few days later...
Granted, there's a not-insignificant chance the mother could be a previous rescue-release!
Cute little foxy!
So beatiful 💜
Лисе очень повезло, что есть помощь от людей!
When will people ever learn about netting 😖😖😖😖
awwww nice foxes are sooooo nice at night when their out its not nice when their trapped in netting
💖
when will people get the message to take up netting when they are not using it?
@richardjohnson5529 Maybe on the 12th of never ... which is a very long time .....We think alike .
@@HelenaMikas ignorance is not bilss for wildlife.
My experience is that many people never learn from anything, unfortunately. ☹
They will always make the same mistakes.
@@rattus3102 i agree that most people will but there are some people that are better
Lawrie the fox food to the rescue. How often do you guys actually get bitten in these situations and does it still hurt even with the gloves?
Good job again! 😍👌
Can you be sure the cub returns to the skulk?
Or was it old enough to be alone?
Binlerce teşekkürler ❤❤😂
Thanks!for the needed Fox release pens or anything else you need
Does anybody who likes these videos work for toys shops or toys factories? If so, please, make a suggestion to add a big note to lift football nets when not in use.
Thanks 🙏
Awwwww
❤️
Well done for helping this dear little fox cub .🦊❤
Lucky cub! Well done. I'm not ranting about nets this year : /
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I personally like watching
these rescues I have subbed.
💖💞😘💕
WHERE have you been, young man!? I have been worried SICK, I have!
Mum! I met a human! But he didn't look like that Simon person you mentioned, at all!
Oh, well, that'll have been Lawrie, then!
I’m sure that’s exactly what happened!😊
mum fox...where the heck have you been...?
The question though is: Did the householder put up new netting (that being highly flexible can easily entangle any small animal or bird that encounters it) or did they properly replace it by using rigid wire fencing (chain link for example) instead.
💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
👏👏💗
Did it yell "Ma! Ma! I'm home!" When you let it loose... (Grin)
It's so cute :) Go team WAF 🌷

👍💕
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
♥
Great job as always 👏🏻The only 'stupid' are people who use these rubbish nets So glad he recovered with TLC .Hope the word re such has gone round ..You have been saying this for years 👍.
had a fox in my Garden just last week left him some bacon.
Out of curiosity...what is the purpose of these nets? TIA, have a great day guys!
The nets are to kick soccer balls into, I believe.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️
💚💚💚💚
❤ 🤗
Seriously, you should be charging people! How can anyone not know how nets work?
"Wildlife rescuer / fox food" xD
"Please don't tell my mom.."
*And please don't store a loose netting without a bag - animals will get in your sheds and get entangled there.
😊
Why your country has so much nets
FFS, it only takes a couple of minutes, so why can't people tie up their bloody football netting?
WHY won't people learn about these bloody nets?
Has anyone ever got mad cuz you cut their netting up. Just wondering cuz I can see heartless jerks being mad.
