    Lawrie: "I don't do tight spaces"
    2:24: You're about to...
    If there are others, I didn't even see a hint of them.
    MUCH respect to Lawrie in particular for this one, just watching the footage of him under that container had me feeling anxious.
    And such a massive improvement for the poor cub after the rescue and release. Thank you so very much, Wildlife Aid.

      Good spot! (no other ones in there!)
      Lawrie did a great job going underneath the compactor - we all felt anxious watching it too! Thanks for all your support :)

    • @ShadeSlayer1911

      I'd be anxious too. I'm not claustrophobic per se, but being underneath that machinery all dark and dirty is not a space I'd want to crawl into. Though, if it were in trying to rescue a fox, I think I'd be able to work myself to do it.

    When I think "they're only saving a few animals, won't make much difference", I realize that in fifty years there's a good chance that all of the wild animals of the species they rescue will have had one or more ancestors that were rescues.

    • @Silver_Owl
      @Silver_Owl 3 роки тому +8

      True. And it's like the old story about the starfish. It makes a difference to that one.

    • @anglophils645
      @anglophils645 Рік тому +1

      Exactly. I've done a lot of rescuing starfish who get stranded on the beach by the outgoing tide. Sometimes there are 100 at a time. My husband will say, "You'll never be able to get them all back in the water before they expire. You can't make that much difference". And I respond, as I gently toss one back into the sea, "I made a difference to that one". And soon there are people joining us in our efforts, and we save them all! There are animal rescuers all over the world. If we all do our part, we CAN make a difference! (I live on he Atlantic coast of the USA).

      These foxes are cubs from this year, so are only approx. 6 months old. Also, this cub was very underweight when she came in due to the circumstances in which she was found! You guys need to build some fox Sanctuaries. For real. You have so many foxes who get into trouble. I have seen a couple put downs unnecessarily, all they needed was meticulous medical care. Some foxes can't be returned to the wild and shouldn't be, but that is what Sanctuaries do. They have every right to life as any other creature.

    One thing I always notice about the videos, they always only ask us to subscribe at the end. I'm already subscribed anyway. But I imagine many people do not watch to the end. Maybe you could ask people to subscribe before the end (just visually), as I think you deserve a lot more recognition.

    It's a wonder Lawrie didn't brain himself on the underside of the compactor.
