I think sometimes it’s linked with anxiety and mental health issues which could be due to previous relationships or bad parenting. As a man you should detect that and make sure you don’t see her as a bad girl instead a sick girl and verbally treat her right but also not fall victim for drainage and abuse. Help her as much as you can, let her know she is perfect the way she is but also cut contacts entirely when it’s time. It is important to not be hot and cold as a man since it’s a sign you aren’t in tune with your emotions and your your words won’t have the same impact.
Remember it’s not their fault they need attention, it’s a need they can’t overcome, show them that life is beautiful without attention and it will change them trust me.

Hello, happy to see your comment, I stuck with such a girl lately. I thought something was wrong with her (she needed a lot of recognition from everyone to ensure her confidence while she is good) so I tried to find out because i'm interested in the human psychology but unfortunately fell into a situation about her seeking attention.
At first, I didn't understand her behavior, I tried to confide with friends about her oddity but they said that was my fault for being too curious and made her angry. Well, I just want to understand and help. Perhaps it has a lot to do with her environment, background, past and bad parenting that makes her like that. So i'm research on internet to deal with this behavior and bring me here.
The only way to talk right now is through facebook, do you have any advice for me? Straightforward or do somethings? I'm not very good at socializing.

I met a woman who did exactly what you said - In our first date she mentioned how self-accomplished she was, the many properties she had bought, the stocks she invested in, the many men running after her etc. Then she would constantly say she was fat (but she wasn't, she just wanted validation). Even worse, we got laid twice and she would always ask if I enjoyed it. She asked me twice about the characteristics I appreciated on her. She would cook food and deliver it to me just to get my compliments.
Then she started to get weird (tip #4!!) - She would say things like "let's go out tomorrow, it's a friend's birthday, I'll text you with the details", next day she would disappear. A few days later she'd invite me to her place to watch a movie (it happened). Then she'd arrange a dinner, but cancel it 1 day prior.
All that happened in a period of 3 weeks. That's when I cut her off. I had known other women with similar behaviour. I let it go on because I got what I wanted ;)
My advice, folks - be familiar with these signs. Attention seekers are dangerous, they can be very skilled in manipulating people and even modifying their personalities based on their surroundings. People like that uses backstabbing and lies to get what they want. Be smart, as soon as you see a pattern forming, jump off immediately.
Dude been going through this with a one particular girl for a very long time! I’m almost embarrassed to say how long. She hit’s me with tip number 4, making me feel like she wants to move forward with me. Manipulating my feelings because she knows I have them! Every time I began to move on she pops back up. It definitely sucks

Yep, I realised this after 2 months of constantly texting to a girl. At first she was very open to me, then got a bit colder. Always talking about herself and her needs. Wasting my time just to validate herself. Never experienced it before so it took me a while to understand the situation.
No worries man! Happens to the best of us. At least you recognized it early on. Young guys like us can have troubles when we don't have the experience, but all you need is to see something once and then you can recognize it and not even touch it next time. Had the same troubles myself, but you feel better when you see it again for what it is and don't give it the time of day. Also when you have that first heartbreak experience it numbs you a bit which helps and you don't get sucked in as easily.

If you don't FEEL appreciated, then you're NOT appreciated. Try calling her out on it. Tell her that you feel that you're only getting lip service (not the good kind) in terms of appreciation and see what happens.
