I ordered one today. I will be cutting designs in 2mm baltic birch, engraving shipping boxes, mugs, coasters and making metal business cards. Thank you for reviewing. I appreciate it!
Hi Ryan, interesting video. You mention not using air assist, your results are good and clear. Do you recommend using air assist with a 5w laser? Keep up the good work Peter
Some things require air assist, such as deep engraves on some woods. I don't suggest it on painted or stained items as it will result in buildup on your nozzle. Do some small tests on each thing you engrave to get a better idea of what works best for you.
Can I get a double check on the link to the website? The one listed is only showing refurbished. And no new ones. And is only showing out of stock and has been for a few weeks.
I did a white frosted glass tile today. It turned out pretty good for running a 5w! I will have a video on that, one on ceramic tile and one on clear acrylic posted this weekend.

To ensure timely delivery and better warranty, I'd order from Amazon. amzn.to/3T6c3yb
When should the air assist be used?
I use it on all untreated wood projects. Paint and wood sealers will tend to clog up the nozzle. I also use it on tumblers.
Cool tests! Did you try cutting 3mm MDF?
Sorry, I did not cut mdf with th A5 M50.
@@LaserNoob thx anyways :) I will have to try that when mine gets here but I read MDF is really tough to cut with a Diode laser...
nice one. lets watch it
