    Excellent Video. This is the only tutorial on assembling the Atomstack A5 Pro that shows how to adjust the belt tension.

    Amazing thank you! The manual was a bit vague at points - your explanations for WHY to do certain things was really reassuring and helped with sense checks. In 2023 here the Pro seems to have changed slightly - the laser height is now adjusted by wing nuts which I think is clearly acknowledging the difference between setup and day to day use. 🙏

    Thanks Roger that was a big help. I was a nervous wreck and your video helps settle me down. The only thing different is my laser I just received the Atomstack pro +5 did not have the big knob on the laser. Must be a new tweak at the factory.

      Same! I didn't get the cutting mat either!

      I just received my A5 Pro today, and yep, no cutting mat and no knob on the laser head.

    Thank you! Just used this video to help my dad set up his Christmas present. Your video was much easier to follow than the instructions that came with the machine.

    I hate reading books on assembly, your video took me through some steps I might have missed. Thanks

    Hi Roger. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and for explaining very clearly how to get it set-up properly. I'm not mechanically-minded (Liberal Arts Major- LOL) but I didn't have any problem following along! Thanks again!

    You're a huge help. I'll put the link of your video on my Amazon review. I had some variation, I think because mine is an M50, but basically everything was covered enough for me to figure out anything that was different. I wish they came with better instructions! Luckily your video swooped in and saved the day lol. All the best!

      Back the screw off until just a thread or two is engaged and push down while turning.

    I had mine "caddywampass" and could not get it right. At the front, end I moved the head down the Y axis. It touched the rail at one end and a 3/16 gap at the other. I saw in your instructions how you put the belts on and then lined up. Thanks for the video. who knows if I would figure that out on my own.

      Glad it helped! that is why I make these detailed videos, not skipping over anything. Some find them boring, and other very useful. I don't care about ratings if they help someone!

      @@rogersshop Never worry about being boring! As a retired tool and diemaker with over 51 years in the trade, I appreciate DETAILS!!! I had to laugh when you mentioned during the 'catywampus' stage of the assembly that you would check the alignment later with your precision machinist square. I lived and died with those squares. :)

    is it supposed to have a lot of play on the laserhead holder? The wheel underneath seems to me is to loose

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  7 місяців тому

      No. Tighten the eccentric nut until there is no play.

    Hello Sir,
    I am trying to make a simple boxes, and they won't fit
    together properly as it seems the cuts aren't square.
    If I draw a simple square send it to the machine it
    won't actually be a perfect square. l used the "pulse"
    and the arrows on the controller to draw a simple
    grid (to eliminate it being the software) and the lines
    still aren't square.
    want to be able to have square cuts.
    I’ll be very thankful for your answer Sir!
    Best Regards

      Check that you eccentric roller adjusters are tight against the extrusions and make sure you do not have any bad roller bearings. If the rollers are too loose, or have a bad spot, it will result in lines not being true. This is especially important on the Y axis.

    I got mine all set up and when I hit the button to go to home it gets there and then like its bumping the rails and makes an awful noise

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  Рік тому

      While the "home" position is the lower left corner, you cannot actually home this laser as it has no limit switches, so does not know when to stop. If using Lightburn (recommended), disable auto home. Best used from "Current Position" setting in Lightburn. "User Origin" can also be used, but you will need to set the origin point.

    Si se da cuenta, ese tope que pone en el minuto 23:05 hace que el lazer sobrepase el "0" de la regla, y el tope de atrás impide que el lazer avance más, hace que no avance hasta 400. ESO ES INCORRECTO.

    • @rogersshop

      Yes, it does go past zero, but is a positive stop and is suppled to be installed by Atomstack in this location. It isn't something I added and is shown in their assembly manual.
