Too many times, there are claims made about the next "BEST Entry Enthusiast" Keyboard on the market. However, with the QK65 by Qwerty Keys (Owlabs Sister Company), it's the TRUTH. I won't belabor it... this is the best "ENTRY" keyboard you can buy... Because this is not really an "ENTRY" Keyboard at all... it's a PREMIUM board disguised by its $150 Price Tag.

Man, I have watched this review so many times now. You really did a great job with it. I aspecially like your scientific segments, because they make the products and mods much more comparable. After comparing your sound test to the one from Jaeyou Park and nearLucid, I feel like the switches make the biggest difference: Compared to these lubed and filmed oil kings all other switches just sound a little scratchy. Would you agree?

Interesting. It’s very similar to how people are able to shape their drum sound. Basically, drummers like to add lil pieces of material (like a pillow in the bass drum, or gaff tape and toilet paper on snare drums), to reduce the acceleration of the vibrations for both the drumhead and shell. This enables them to control the more unflattering overtones that natural to all drums. Been noticing this lately since I got into the keyboard hobby.

I wasn’t quite a fan of mechanical stuffs in general and keyboards in specific but your breakdown and explanations got me into it. (irrelevant but I kinda like your hair style tho)

Awesome review as always! I want to ask. Does this keyboard hard to build / assemble for someone who is going to buy this as their first custom keyboard? I almost bought Q2 but this review got me tempted. Thank you!

Guess I am getting yet another 65%! Been watching all the videos on this thing, and even though I own pricier builds already, I definitely am going to pick one up. It looks too good to pass on!

I really appreciate all the effort you put into your videos, keep it up! Do you have any other keycap or switch recommendations to go with this keyboard and are at a reasonable price?

i don't think anything would have prepared me for how good that sound test was. im buying components for my first build and im shooting for a 'marbly' sound profile - which is how i'd describe this keyboards acoustics.
this also isn't the first video of yours where i've learned a lot of actionable advice. upgrading my like with a subscribe; keep up the great work!
