- UE5: ALSv4 Traversal System Reboot! (Part 1)
Not touched ALSv4 for about 8 months. I know it's out of date now and Lyra locomotion is a lot more performant but it still looks amazing so I'm merging and improving my various ALS projects. Slide, climb, beam balancing and swimming.. Still to go, pivot, and the weapon system! Might add ladders and vaulting too - then I can actually try and use ALS to make a game.

The fact that it knew it was falling in to water and applied the diving animation blew my mind this is really well done
line trace while falling checks for physical materials probably

having something that big waiting for an overlap doesn't sound optimized in my opinion @@SamuTheFrog
@@SamuTheFrog I believe this is it, when it collides with a water tank it triggers the diving animation

Is this available anywhere? I am banging my head against the wall trying to figure out climbing mechanics for my Little Nightmares-inspired game, and IWALS and ATS both are incredibly bloated and have their fair share of issues. This looks way more focused.
