Bro, this engine is unreal.

This would go INSANE with an anime game like dbz/naruto or sonic game
its for short frames, if u pull it out too much on screen wont look good....
Check out my game I’m working on, it’s a open world ninja jrpg, currently it’s just me working on it
Sonic is an original game character. 🤦🏿(Not anime)
@@evilwizardtherapist The said OR Sonic game, they didn't say Sonic was an anime game
@@TheFrostedfirefly Oh, my bad. (Thanks for the correction)
I like this approach better than motion blur. Some tweaks here and there are needed but this is amazing
both
motion blur is ugly and unrealistic.
at least this is stylish.
@@rareraven I think there’s appealing motion blur out there, I like FF7 remake’s for example
I think i know where the problem is. The effects are being applied to parts where there's low motion. It should only be applied on the fastest of the fastest body parts, like, only the arm when punching. Only on the lower leg when kicking. Something like that.
When it's applied on the whole, it looks like the character is made of liquid, and not that it's a movement effect.
@@rareraven Crysis 2 had good motion blur, it affected how the enemies look when moving, made the animations look more fluid. I think a lot of devs just overdo it, the setting itself is fine.
Just looking at this, I can already tell its one of the more useful additions to the marketplace
This looks cool, but you have too few movements that run at real time speed for me to get a grasp of how it will look in gameplay.
agreed, fine and all if you want it to look good whilst paused or something, but need to know how it looks while playing for an extended time frame.
You know, I was suspicious this was possible, thanks for confirming my suspicion. I hope you sell a bunch of these, no shade.
I once programmed a platformer physics engine, I can't imagine what it took to do this. Bravo!
Very cool. It’s a great way to convey speed and power. I’ll definitely grab this when I start developing again!
In my humble opinion, smooth animations convey speed and power way better.
@@jettsett9354 For sure, I don’t disagree with you! Blur / distortion effects can also make for some creative stylized speedy attacks. If used sparingly in tangent with quality animations it could make for a great effect to add to a move list. There also was a iaido skill in Rise of the Ronin that produced ghost trails with this similar type of blur effect.
Looks awesome, want to try it in my project. Great job man.
This looks really good. I'm adding to the wishlist and eventually buy it. Wish you the best!
You keep coming up with good stuff. Don't stop!
That looks so cool, like you'd see in animation.
I am buying this plugin as soon as I'm able to. This is insane.
This is really cool, I’d love to see with a good cellshader to get closer to that GG look
Wow! Now this is some cool stuff
those animations are smoooth af
Intriguing I wonder what creations people will come up with
insane !ABSOLUTELY INSANE!
THIS IS AMAZING!!!
This is so killer, oh my goodness.
What a great idea! This is awesome!
this will be cool in a Spider-Man or a DMC game.
Looks amazing!
this will go perfectly with my cyberpunk game
The future of 3D Sonic fangames.
This is REALLY COOL!
i think like something like a glitched character would be awesome combined with this
FOKIN SICK
i will just look it at it from a distance because i have no intentions on game development
This would look real good in a flash game ong
Wishlisted. I 100% see a use for this in my current project, but I just bought CC4 so funds = low.
This is so good it should be ILLEGAL! I called the police.
looks super cool good job
Saw this and immediately thought of The latest episode of Windbreakers
Everytime I open something hoping it's a tutorial, it's actually marketplace
THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME BRO HOW DO U DO HUMANS DO THIS SHIT
This is an invincible game would go hard
i watch this, and i'm like:
" prepare the fleet to hyperspace !! "
Amazing job
Devs will need to have turning this on or off in the options as well hopefully cause I can see this being a big plus for some games and a big minus for other games. Super neat though, hope to see it used in the near future.
This is amazing❤
THAT IS 🔥🔥
This reminds me of the effect in jsrf.
HELL YES
OKAY HEAR ME OUT. This would be absolutely fire for a new gen hajime no ippo game. Y'all thought's on this take?
Nice work.
It seems to use only straight directions for smears, but still pretty cool.
I saw The Dynamic Smears at Coachella
This is cool as hell
Very nice. It looks very unique. but for me its too expensive for a smear effect. Got it on the wishlist for now
Would it affect the physics when the object is morphed?
Do you think its possible to implement the ability to duplicate limbs? Im not a programmer or know how this stuff works. But I know theres a blender plugin similar to this and in a later update duplicated limps was added. I bought the plugin, I would love that feature if its possible to implement.
this is so epic
this and some framework 2's tweaking and we have a banger
I think it would look delicious at a lower frame rate with exaggerated key poses.
This is so cool boss
COOOOOOOL AF
insane.
Would go so well with some limited frame rate animations
wait till they start adding impact frames to game engines, them tactical nukes finna be crazy
Is this warping an asset's geometry, or it doing something else? I can see this working well with stylized high poly assets, but if the effect is tied to geometry, I'm a bit worried about it's effects on a low poly asset.
Now add lines, trails and probably smear frames.
that's insane
ah, I notice the smear is only linear, can it be curved? following the arch movements of arm and legs?
Super sicj man 🔥
thats awesome
that is sick
is it a shader, additional mesh, particles or displacement of verts?
Wish I could go back to being a kid and enjoy city of heroes again lol
This is so good please try in unity too want to buy tho.😮
Can you mask this to specific areas of a mesh?
im going to use this (::
This is rad
pretty awesome shader effect . would it be possible to translate this technique to blender eevee shader system ?
love it, but i'll wait for a 50% sale.
Nice!
cool!
crazy
Not sure if it's possible to tweek in a way to make it only affect areas based on not just speed, but also distance, i.e. smear the limbs, but leave the body and head sharp. Looks amazing either way.
Yes, you can select which area are affected :)
good shit ryan
now imagine this in a 12fps animation hack and slash
needs an artist to tweak and choose the right places and amount, strenght, cause its all over the place... but its a good adition
would be really cool for an opm (one punch man) game
does this require for the meshes to have a high poly count to work properly?
Yes, the higher the number on polys the more detailed the effect
Can i get even a little clue on how you made these??? I would love to find a way to build something like it myself for my own game!
Is it intended that the shadows show the smears?
so is like u changed a point of the vertex?
and follows on original position?
if my though are right then i might make this one on roblox fr 💀 no kidding
Would this work for VR player controllers?
Uploads Nioh vid
#6 six years later#
hmmm.... Ima gonna upload UE5 assets now
what about after images??
or after-image smears
Amazing!! Now if you do this in Blender you have my money!
Wait... but blender is free!
@@Divonelnc i mean for an addon lol
Unrelated but me an Artist staring at these cool and hard to find reference for poses and locking them in my head to Use them as reference later (Also SS).😅
That soooo coolllll, can you make like a max payne 3 shootdodge??
I would buy that
Is this a shader, geometry shader, or something else? In other words, does it rely on a high polycount to work?
Yes, the higher the poly count the better the effect will look :)
cool
Wow
somebody needs to make an anime racing game with this now!! initial d and stuff.
Does it work with sequencer?
When the anime kicks in.
It's interesting, but speaking from the perspective of a traditional animator, the effect you're attempting to mimic is used more sparingly than this. A frame or two at most during the widest transitions, and not applied across the body so thoroughly (like, in a punch, you don't need to smear the legs).
Also I see both motion blur and smearing being applied at the same time? That's hat on a hat, the smear *is* the blur.
I can see it being useful, but it needs some tweaks, and application is everything.
