The Radar and RWR are both placeholders (it literally uses the F-5E’s radar lmao). Should have a modern radar with ground radar modes, as well as a digital RWR with target identification. Same goes for the F-111F. (They also should both have Aim-9Ms)

Hey, off topic for this video, but I'd just like to say your radar guide video a few months ago helped me improve exponentially. Particularly the EEGS section. Whenever I saw that reticle, I thought my ballistic computer was just glitching out by thinking I was close to the ground. Ho boy I turned into a gun-fighter overnight with everything I flew.
Thanks Tim, made my day to see you do the F-111C. Absolutely stoked. My tip for those grinding out 'The Pig', research the 9L early on, this allows you to choose to mount the 9L on the inner pylons, allowing the 500lbers to be mounted on the outer pylons. No restriction on wing sweep this way, which means you can hit over Mach 1.2 at sea level with a full loadout. Get to those bases first!
Got this plane yesterday… almost done getting all the mods. Gotta say, full fuel and max load, it’s so dang sluggish, but then finally decides to go once you pass 700mph (ias). But using guided munitions on PlayStation is confusing (only been playing for like a year 😅), so I just take 24x snakeyes and the targeting pod and do 100-150ft bomb runs. If I fee ballsy, I will take 40-60% fuel (depends on map size), the Vulcan, and the AAMs…. Boy do they underestimate you! My only complaint on the C is that they should have added the Ausi jungle camo! Man, those early Cs were a beauty! I just pray they add the extra hard points!
thank god for this review... this one's like the only one at all available for the f-111c, and I've been just about burnt out grinding for it while not knowing whether it'd be worth it in the end, now I'm a lot more able to decide

tornado has PGM2000s (TV guided 1kg bombs), and since they are TV guided, you can launch them at a really far distance, so its better against pantsirs... hell, even the AJ.168 anti ship missile on the Bucc s2b at 10.3, which cant even face pantsirs, can be a menace to pantsirs if you know how to use it, there is a compilation hunting Pantsirs with the AJ.168 the video is named : "The PANTSIR Killer - AJ.168 | Buccaneer S.2B" and has only 225 views

Hi, i think it may be worth testing/mentioning it's speed on less than 100% throttle, as some jets can hold a lot of speed in economy mode. For example, lightbing f6 while it has lots of pwr in wep, it can go supersonic at ~90% power, and hold around 1k ias even at 70% thrust, while eating many times less fuel than in wep.
This is a fairly routine and well known thing - some jets have better T/W than others, etc etc. The lightning, for example, is capable of supercruise as you mentioned.
I can't believe mr Tim didn't mention the most famous F-111C, the one that took the Olympic flame from Sydney to Athens during the 2000 Olympics closing ceremony.
Aussie-American here - the bomber that the F-111C replaced was the "CAN-bra", not the "Can-BERR-a". Speaking of which, the F-111s ended up getting the nickname "Lawn Darts" after we lost a bunch of them in training accidents.

Could we get a review for the Mig 15 bis Ish? its the only "CAS capable" plane in its BR range for the soviet tree and my ground lineup is severely missing a plane. the s1 rockets seem really promising.
I recently posted a review of the Mig-15 Bis, it'll be a while before I do the ISH specifically, but about 95% of my 15-Bis review applies to the ISH as well.

This honestly makes me wish they threw the old F-111A a bone. I remember coming from the Thunderchief meta to this and I was just surprised by the bulkiness. Less fast paced bombing and more side climbing and praying the enemies don't sweep down that side. Give the ol' girl better missiles cause man the thing blows nowadays. AIM-9B combat where chaff and flares are a plenty is just rough.

I haven't tried it yet, but even the A variant wasn't the top speed in it's bracket, some phantoms are way faster, so I wonder if is really that fast 11.7, especially if with bad acceleration.
The absolute top-end depends on altitude and parasite drag (external weapons). Off the top of my head, I believe the 111-A is faster than phantoms when its clean/light.
@@TimsVariety Yes, but you can only take anything on the second innermost hardpoint, which allows the wings to fully close, and even then it's around mach 1.2 at 1000m, and takes forever to reach that speed, a phantom will get to mach 1 way faster, in my experience if both you are going for the same base, he will get there first, even if you will eventually overtake him. It's another thing on the EC maps, but then fuel becomes an issue, and this is the A, at a considerable lower BR. I just hope that when I get around to spading the newer models they will be actually viable.
I hope this plane gets buffed along with the f-111f the f-111a you can take out enough to take out four bases and still sweep your wings to 75% which I haven't bought the f111f yet come on devs 24 500 lb jadams😂

I was asking if the longer wings really do make a big difference to it's flight performance compared to the standard size. And if it's enough to offset the F's greater Thrust
The aardvark can take 4 GBU-24s, taking 2 was my personal loadout choice to bring a couple sidewiders in. I don't think anyone said the GBU-24 was better than the PGM-2000? (They're entirely different weapons, one is laser guided, the other is TV) The GR1 is *after* this in the tech tree, so .. you'd kindof *expect* it to have upgraded/better weapons anyway? ...

A jet that it's only advantage is speed, yet has LGB's that can only be dropped at 1.0M or lower. Literally defeats the purpose of the jet. Kinda dogshit, especially at 11.7 and literally just strictly worse than the 11.3 Tornado Gr.1 in almost every way.
It hurts to see you putting every enemy into a radar lock. There’s no point in doing this if you’re just going to send a non IRCCM IR missile at the target. All you’re doing is giving the enemy advanced warning that you’re there and likely engaging them.

For bombers, I try to show the damage of popular bomb loads on bases, showing the loadout on-screen seems like a reasonable way to make it more clear.
IMO if you physically hit a tank with a 2000 pound bomb it should knock out the tank before the bomb even explodes haha

My first solo flight "IRL" was in plane #5 of my school's fleet.
My only complain is that neither the C or the F variant have incendiary bombs, with that it could easily become my favorite bomber
I remember pre-f111 getting nerfed. Best dogfighter at its br that made mig-21 look like a brick if you need vertical loops.
