- On this hunt my Uncle Bob joins me out in Kansas on an Oregon Trail stop loaded with 1850s/1860s military relics! We find lots of bullets from the time period as well as a couple uniform buttons. Thanks for watching! -Zach

Those rivets are a frequent find on the Oregon Trail. Confirmation you are on a period spot!
You said the buckshot was a really good sign and a spill. Your youth and inexperience is showing. Someone just shot at a running deer and peppered the field with buckshot. Also there are many sizes of buckshot #4 buck # 2 buck ect. That field could be a hunting field for generations.
