Metal Detecting Lost MILITARY RELICS on the Oregon Trail! Buttons and Bullets Found

On this hunt my Uncle Bob joins me out in Kansas on an Oregon Trail stop loaded with 1850s/1860s military relics! We find lots of bullets from the time period as well as a couple uniform buttons. Thanks for watching! -Zach

Those rivets are a frequent find on the Oregon Trail. Confirmation you are on a period spot!

You said the buckshot was a really good sign and a spill. Your youth and inexperience is showing. Someone just shot at a running deer and peppered the field with buckshot. Also there are many sizes of buckshot #4 buck # 2 buck ect. That field could be a hunting field for generations.
