- Lou and I are filled with so much joy at the thought of becoming parents and have been so excited to share the news with you! This video was filmed over the last few months and now I'm only a few days away from entering my second trimester. I still can't believe the shock I felt finding out I was pregnant. It's the craziest feeling! But just a little current update: I'm doing great and the baby is healthy and growing every day. Finally got a little more energy back and my food aversions seem to be gone woot woot! I've even got a little baby bump that I've been sneakily trying to hide on camera!
I've watched so many other Telling My Husband I'm Pregnant videos and each of them brings such a big smile to my face and I hope this video does the same for you. We had so much fun sharing the news with our family and friends and I'm so happy that we'll have this video to always look back on to remember such a special time in our lives. I wish we had filmed their faces because they were SO surprised and it was just the best moment.
Is there anyone else out there who's pregnant right now too? Anyone who's been pregnant what symptoms did you have that made you think you might be?

I screamed when I saw this notification!! Sooo happy for you both! My husband was the same way when we started dating. He told me “I just want to tell you this upfront. I don’t want to have kids and I never want to get married.” Now he is the best husband and father I could ever imagine. People change and grow and it’s amazing you both could grow together. What makes this the best pregnancy announcement that I’ve seen from ppl I follow on youtube, is the fact that you chose to incorporate the first try, the little rollercoaster of emotion at the beginning. This is gold, and it makes your experience so much more real in our eyes as the audience. I love this channel so much for this. A big big congratulations to you both!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much for sharing that Lou didn't want to have kids before. I feel like people don't talk about changing their minds in relation to having kids very openly -- probably because they don't want their future kids to think they weren't wanted. But it's something I'm really interested in hearing more about. Congratulations to you both, I was wondering and hoping if this might be happening for you!
I had a similar experience. When I met my partner, he said "I will never ever hold a baby" and was terrified of kids. Which, after a significant struggle, I had made my peace with just a few days before I found out I was pregnant with our son! He was unplanned but wanted more than I can describe. And my partner is literally the most amazing father ever. He fell madly in love with his boy the minute he came out and loves his little dude more than life itself.
2022 promises: sterilization. So it’s never gonna happen here…

It's been like 2 days after this video came out and I'm still in awe of Dana and her choices when she first met Lou and he didn't want kids. Like, the choice at 20 to say "you're my person, kids or no kids," is like so profound to me. I mean, who wants them at 20, really? But she accepted him for where he was, who he was without anticipating or banking on the idea that he would change. She was just like," you are my person; let's go have an amazing life." And I just still find that amazing.

Wonderful news! So much joy (and a little stress) is heading your way. This tiny miracle will grow up to become an unbelievable mixture of family traits. Treasure every moment. How to make me cry on a monday morning... Oh my god I'm so happy for you, so emotionnal. Those are such great news, but I would like to mention, that there are a lot of concerns with bringing kids and their private information onto a public platform, broadcasting their lives before they are at an age to consent to that. I think Dana and Lou will be great parents, but please you two keep that in mind for your future kids!!
Also thanks so much for being so honest and sharing that Lou didn’t want kids but actually changed his mind! 🙏✨ + sharing the tough emotional rollercoaster that is pregnancy 😭✨ It’s very important to talk openly about this kind of things and not just try to look ‘socially acceptable’!

Feel this! After 19 months ,pcos, overweight, shots, pills, treatments, no ivf because of my weight ect we got a plus the month we didn't do treatment ect. Got to see the heartbeat yesterday

I just found out I was pregnant too! I'm only around 8 weeks so we arent far apart! My husband wasn't sure about kids when we first started dating either but the longer you spend together the more capable and settled you feel. A lot of times people are nervous due to fear of not getting enough time just the 2 of you, that having a baby would take all of the alone moments away. But it doesn't, it just makes every waking moment so much more special 🥰

What I didn’t anticipate that after 65 years on this earth, of celebrating the birth of hundreds of babies to family and friends year in and year out, one of the only times I’d cry with joy at the news would be from a sweet couple I follow on UA-cam. Years I've been following you guys and every story you tell is a treasure. I've been on highs and lows with you from across the globe and you are part of my life in more ways than you could know. This made me absolutely bawl, I'm so happy you're happy. I'm so grateful for your joy. Also, the turn this video took after a test said "not pregnant" was so, so well captured. Your process and the importance of nature when life is heavy really came through. Following your story telling progress has been amazing but that piece was, if you ask me, one of the greatest of all. How you wordlessly could express everything and make us feel some part of what you were going through. Cause sometimes words are hard and superfluous. That is the power of photography.

As a childfree person, this makes me very sad because I was looking up to you as an amazing couple that did not want kids and did not need them to be happy. Hearing also that Lou did not want kids and changed his mind... It hurts me, another example of why when I say that I don't want kids, everybody tells me that I'll change my mind.
