@@streetpigeonmtb that would be a game changer if they got to do that. @@streetpigeonmtb defintely for the big boys and girls 😅. I take it youve seen the new flow/jump trail there building at tress at the exit of ewok beside double cross?
Imagine deciding if a million pound budget can make a trail centre designed to encourage as many cyclists as possible into the outdoors to enjoy at all skill levels ORRR make thin track in wood for bloke…
Hey mate. I think the issue is that Scotland already had miles and miles of natural singletrack. If you watch my vids you will see 90% if my riding is on singletrack. So do I want trail centres that offer a 'bike park' experience? Hell yes! IMO we should be encouraging people to cycle. It is good for their health, tourism, the local economy and so much more. If we are going to do this we need accessible and fun trails that everyone can use. So importantly, this trail centre doesn't reduce the abundant natural trail numbers in Scotland. It actually ensures Scotlnad has an even more varied offering. I know what I'd choose 😏
@@streetpigeonmtb Yeah fair enough. I'm not anti trail centre at all. I'm just not convinced we need trails wide enough for quad bikes. The same thing is happening everywhere and it's getting harder to find natural trails at trail centres because they've all been made into wide, fast, flowy and very man-made rather than natural
Yeah. I'd say there is probably less demand for that given the amount of natural trails available. I'm in the Tweed Valley and the natural singletrack out numbers the trail centre stuff by about 10 to 1. I suppose it depends on where you ride though. Are you based in Scotland bud?
@@streetpigeonmtb No, in Shropshire. There's plenty here, but largely shared with walkers which is OK most of the time. Trail centres are great... but having started in the 90's its a far cry from what it was then!
That's a lot of climbing, that amount is beyond your average rider. Bikeparks in Germany of that size would have a lift. Why aren't you guys putting together a business proposal and getting a drag lift installed

I don't think it will. The climbs are very straightforward. They never get too steep and they are relatively flowy 👍
Great video. Looks a great trail centre.
I feel a visit to Scotland is due. 👍🏻👍🏻
I think it is! Hope you make it there. What a brilliant place 👏
Where did all the trees go?
They are harvested and then sold for wood. A lot of the pine forests in Scotland are commercial (planted) forests. Hope that makes sense 👍
Loos amazing when is it open
It opens tomorrow, Monday 17th April 👍
Sweet definitely have to take a wee visit cheers
What bike you riding?
Hi mate. It's a Bird Aether 9C. It's a fantastic wee trail bike. I've actually changed it a little recently, going for a 150mm travel fork, upped from 130mm. I did a a build video here ua-cam.com/video/BoUH3VYVI80/v-deo.html
I've also got a first impressions video here ua-cam.com/video/p2S3U60Dagc/v-deo.html
Give me a shout if you have any questions 👍
Suitable for beginner on a hard tail?
Very much so. The only think I would say is just acknowledge the speed. It would be easy to get carried away, so just been mindful of that. You will love it mate ❤️🤙
Can you rent bikes near this place we would be coming from the United States and can’t bring bikes ?
If you contact Clark at Pitfichie Bike Bothy he could probably help you out. His shop is about 30 minutes away from the trails 👍 Hope you make it over 🤙
@@streetpigeonmtb appreciate you
No problem at all 👍
Wow whens it open what's it called again
Tarland mate. It opens tomorrow, 17th April 👍
Flow flow flow

Dnb n mtb joy
A winning formula 😁👌

Mate, it's so good. I think it might well be my favourite 😍
@@streetpigeonmtb ive ridden the crc built trail at glenlivet and boy do those guys know flow, looking forward to getting back up there again to tarland and glenlivet again at some point :D
Mate, I totally agree. They are so on point right now. You should see the jump line they have just put in at Glenlivet. For pros only I would suggest 🤯🤯🤯
@@streetpigeonmtb defintely for the big boys and girls 😅. I take it youve seen the new flow/jump trail there building at tress at the exit of ewok beside double cross?
Yeah mate. I'm pretty excited about that!
😊✌️👏👏👏👏
Oh yeah! 🤙
Need more for offroad motorbikes in scotland, silent scotland,
I'm afraid I can't comment on the motorbike scene. I'm only on the pedal bikes 👍
I thought this was an Eastenders episode
Eh? 🤣
@@streetpigeonmtb The thumbnail 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 I see it now!
Wow what a trail! The only improvement I would recommend is that all the riders ride all 18 holes of trumps shitty goof course to finish up the day.
🤣 I'm sure you could persuade a few folks to do that 👍🤣
tut tut - You didn't tap the cairn
I was too excited to get riding again. Plus that trail that starts there is mega!
Forget your gloves?
I was getting tired of taking them on and off for the cameras and drone controller. So they ended up staying in the back pack 👍
Anyone else fed up of ‘trail centres’ that have become bike parks? I just want to ride natural singletrack.
Personally I'd rather pedal. Each to their own though 👍
