You honestly only need a community college degree in this to break into the high 90’s low 100’s salary wise. At my first engineering job out of college we had a data analyst in our dept that was pulling some nice numbers pay wise, about 102k per year, he was making more than I was as a junior engineer & he only had an associates degree & a ton of certs. But I’ll give it to him, he was GOOD, so he was well worth the price tag for the company because he knew how to code in python, SQL & had A++ & Oracle certs, basically a Jack of all trades. I think he’s doing even better now years later as a freelancer.

It's a different story today bud, it's not as easy to land a job when tech companies cut 50% of jobs and people with 10 yrs of experience are better candidates than college graduates
I was not expecting this to be so motivational and supportive. Not only did you give a good road map to how to do it, you gave the support to make me want to move forward. I appreciate your compassion for your viewers.
Thank you for this! I’ve just started researching IT careers online and self learning, being that I have a couple years of college but never got the degree. I’m a little overwhelmed and not sure where to start. I’m 51 years old and currently work in a call center as a real time analyst but I’m feeling not that if I learn data analysis and maybe get a certificate, I can create my own position with my company or go elsewhere for a much higher salary, like 90k or so soon after starting. I love working with data and just analyzing it so I think this might be the right road for me and you make it sound much less intimidating. Thank you for the encouragement! 😊
I work as a market data analyst and had no experience as my main background was in Electronics Engineering and also Semiconductor equipment technician. I have to say that this is an amazing video, and it was people like yourself that helped me learn along the way and one day I hope to share my knowledge with others as well. Such great content! Keep up the great work! Newly subbed 🎉😊
Great video. On the topic of AI, I think of AI like a calculator... Calculators didn't stop the need for humans to understand how maths works. Instead, it made it lot quicker to calculate numbers. You still need to know what multiplication and subtraction is, for example, so you know what to tell the calculator in the first place. I see AI playing a similar role in the workplace. I.e we still need to understand the underlying content, so we can fully understand the output. So knowledge, rather than technical skills will be more in demand I think, unless you are literally coding the AI itself.
I’m very appreciative of this video and I’m glad you shared. I’m read serveral comments saying all of the things i can think to comment on. As a beginner in this field I’m very thankful I’m going to save this and share and i look forward to other content that you have.😊
I'm happy to have found your channel! I have been doing healthcare administration for over 8 years and I'm in need of a career change. I have my bachelors in science already and was recently intrigued by Data Analytics , I'd love to transfer over to be a Healthcare Data Analytics and even more so to a Data Scientist. I'm trying to do some research on my end and find out which educational courses, skills, and experiences are needed. As a newcomer, there is just too much information out there with variety's of bootcamps and educational courses offered for this field. However thanks to you I have narrowed this down. Thank you for being straightforward, honest and cut to the point. I have followed you and joined your discord server. Keep up the good work!

Another excellent video. At least in my company, there is a lot of value in diversifying ones skillset.
