    2:56. "Dude I get like 30 minutes a day to work on things!" This 100%. The main thing I hate about back when I had to go into an office was how long it would take me to get my work done due to being constantly interrupted by bosses/coworkers every 10 minutes. Ever since working from my home office, I am able to focus and do deep work without interruption; much more productive than back when I had to physically go into an office. The RTO mandate is so dumb; it's a great way to watch worker productivity plummet.

    Zack mentioned at 17:00 that "data engineers with expertise in master data and machine learning are safe". What does "master data" refer to, and what are these roles like? How do these jobs differ from typical data engineering roles that are going to be replaced? Are they still referred to as data engineers, or are they considered machine learning engineers instead?

    • @emmilys7191
      @emmilys7191 29 днів тому

      I would like to know too

    • @DLastResort
      @DLastResort 7 днів тому

      He is probably referring to Master Data Management i.e. MDM Data Engineering. Its a niche type of Data Engineering which focuses more more creating tables or storage solutions that serve as your single source of truth across your organization. For example, you could say anywhere you see the words "Mister" or "Misters" we will call it as "Mr".
      I am not entirely sure what he means by Master data is safe. Most data engineers perform some sort of MDM activity in general. It is rarely a standalone role on its own so my assumption is he misspoke. Machine Learning is in high demand but just because you are not an ML Engineer does not mean you are at risk. There is massive demand for data engineers with and without ML skills and I don't see this trend changing anytime soon.

    This is one of the funnest tech related video on UA-cam. As I followed along the video, I pretty much pretended I was the one getting paid like they do. I don't think watching UA-cam has ever felt that much fun.🤙

    Well, there is a question everytime comes in my mind that, will AI tools will replace the job of data scientist or machine learning engineers ? suppose you are learning python for data visualization then here comes Julius , so what about your learning python if julius is doing that stuff for you.
    Please reply must because I am also learning skills and these things are like breaking motivation and interest to the data science

      Tools will come and go. You need to be able to adapt until you can’t offer anything of value anymore. At that point; you either venture out and make something with the skills you developed or pursue another career entirely. AI will one day replace the majority of jobs including software engineering but it won’t be anytime soon especially with just generative AI and the insane cost it takes to simply keep them running despite no real profit being shown yet for many companies. Learn what your passionate about and by the the time AGI comes; you’ll be comfortably retired taking universal checks from the government on top of your retirement.

      He coded every day, even on the weekends for over a decade. He was building his own apps before he even got hired by a big tech company. He loves what he does. He saw opportunities open to him while working at FB. He took advantage of that opportunity, took a job that was tough for him and he wasn't quite ready for. it didn't work out but it prepared him for the next job, and he grew from there. There is no luck here, he had the desire, was consistent with growing his skill to a high level, and he was persistent. No successful person would look at his story and say "He got lucky". Success is not luck, success is a mindset.

      @@curtist358 if you think that is BS, it's really not much else I can say to you man. When you have the desire to achieve something and actively work towards it, things do start to work in your favor. It's happened to me time and time again, it's not a secret, it's been written and spoken about a million times over different mediums. Again, success is not luck. and the mindset that you are displaying is not conducive to being successful.

    Thank You.
