This is true. I started June 2023. Got the job Aug 2023 straight to what is considered a mid senior level salary especially in my region + 2 pay rises without a degree. Got awarded a recognition trophy by Feb 2024. I posted this for anyone thinking about it to go for it before even finishing the courses. You'll learn more on the job. My strongest suit? Not the technical skills but strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders and existing transferrable skills. Good luck.
Now I'm fully motivated. I will start learning data science after writing my final year medical laboratory science exams in three months time. I want to actually learn it using the resource provided in the video as a roadmap. I want to be very good at analyzing health data and probably landing a job. I'm quite good with computer related stuffs so that shouldn't be an issue for me. So help me God.

This is so concise and understandable for a total beginner. Thank you I know exactly where I need to start now! Trying to get out of the grind of call centers
Going to start the google data analyst cert today, been struggling to find a career to stop and work towards and found this vey helpful. Not like you meant it literally but just going to commit to this for 3 months and see what happens wish me luck!
This is helpful, thanks! I recently started my journey to becoming a Data Analyst but started out with SQL. I almost gave up! haha! It definitely makes sense to start with the basics of Statistics and Excel.
For statistics, understand basic concepts like probability, experimentation, Central tendency and distribution of data, hypothesis testing and progression
