去廁所(洗手間)go to the toilet (一般說法), go to the loo (英國,澳洲), go to the restroom (公廁,美國), go to the bathroom (家內廁所,美國), go to the washroom (加拿大)。男廁 men's room, the gents, 女廁 women's room, ladies' room, the ladies。 小便/小解 (斯文說法) to spend a penny, to take/have a leak; 屙尿 to pee (相熟朋友用), 放水 to piss (粗俗,小用為佳); 人有三急(文雅說法) Nature's call 。 尿急 I'm busting (英國,澳洲), I'm bursting (美國); 屙殊殊 (兒童用語) wee-wee, go wee-wee, do a number one; 排尿 (醫療用語) to urinate。
No matter how you said it, in most cases you just have to ignore it. Going to the bathroom,no explanation is required, any explanation is just too detail. All you have to do is just say excuse me, back in minute. As little details as possible.
I was in a Chinese based school in HK so had a weak foundation. My friends who went to Maryknoll Convent school, St Paul co-ed, Diocesan Girls School (DGS) etc, their command of English are excellent straight from school.
Grumpy , Elon Musk said if he did not have good sleep, he would be grumpy, Either Asian, or western, or European, just like us, they have same emotions, feeling, joy, sadness , good calm temper or bad temper, fussy, grouchy, crabby, patient, impatient American, western, European have happy time for wedding, make fortune, good job offers, or divorce, lost job , sickness and pain
no one would say "I need to answer the call of nature!". "Excuse me, I'll be back!" is enough. Pointing out "sleep on your left eye" and "I need to take a big one" are inappropriate.
In some situations, you would. For examples, your teacher or boss asks you "Why are you late?" - I had to answer the call of nature. Your host asks you "Did you sleep well?" - No, I kept waking up to nature's call. Your friend asks you "Why are you walking so fast?" - Nature's calling. It is more common for native (British) English speakers to use "nature's call" as a form of euphemism
Being offered something and just say “I’m good” for saying NO, could be ambiguous to someone who doesn’t know you well. Don’t worry about me, I’m good! Well, I’m gonna pass! I think I’ve had enough.
8:15 Too much information! Your friend doesn't need to know and they don't want to know. Just simply say "I need to go use the restroom". No one wants to know what the business may be 😅 Less is better. 10:10 You know, they know, so everyone knows, a simple "excuse me" is adequate in an adult mature setting. Less is better. Of course in youthful setting you just simple point the finger at someone else and say "Good God, Jesus"
Nature’s call is too poetic. May I be excused? I need to use the washroom right away. Or I need to use the john! It’s still rude to say to someone you are not familiar with “you’ve got something stuck in your teeth.” Simply say “would you like or you might want to check your teeth.” “Take a dump” is NOT suitable in a semi formal situation! The most common and universal one is: Sorry but I need the washroom right away.
Excuse me, I am going to the Ladies/Gents I am going to powder my nose (extremely formal) - I need to defaecate now :) (extremely detail) - open bowel, bowel movement, there is a cigar sticking out

bumpkin
Melody,
Mainly HK
Thanks very much for your reply

Very practical English, I don’t think it will teach at the school! Hahahaha…..
Thanks!!

Any dse eng new version
Love you
Thank you 🫶🏻
i have to answer the call of nature
Good good good 👍
Thank you so much 😀
yep,also sleep = 眼屎
ch = k sound in this example, character is also k sound. But not always in every ch words.
@@Woodland26 thanks!
Please stay tuned
@@MelodyTam okay
谢谢, 我多次听人说 I am good. I am fine.
as I perceived, ‘diarrhea’ won’t offend…it’s formal…
I've shitted my pants.
it is a medical term
If you smell somebody's fart and want to know who the criminal is, you could ask." May I know anybody cut the cheese?"
Even the criminal pretends to cover his nose and watching others 😂🎉
I never said that I have to go refresh my self. I normally said" I need to take a leak"
SHARTINGGGG
"fallen asleep' or numb 麻庳
Pee = Urinate = Go number one
Poo = Defecate = Go number two
❤
"You need to pee now". In front of me? haha
I Am Groot!
😂😂😂👍🙇♂️
Eye Gum?
Simply 'sleep'
eye discharge if you want to be medically correct.
no direct translation due to cultural difference. There are no such concepts in western medicine.
Grumpy , Elon Musk said if he did not have good sleep, he would be grumpy,
Either Asian, or western, or European, just like us, they have same emotions, feeling, joy, sadness , good calm temper or bad temper, fussy, grouchy, crabby, patient, impatient
American, western, European have happy time for wedding, make fortune, good job offers, or divorce, lost job , sickness and pain
Grumpy , bad-tempered, crabbed, crabby, cross, fussy, grouchy, ill-tempered. ill-natured
“May I be excused?”
Loo is often used in the UK,
@@Nelson-n1i Loo is not a high class word in UK. Low to middle class at best.
Excuse me, I need to use the restroom (bathroom, toilet, man’s / woman’s, gents/ladies…)
Lavatory,
You can also visit The John which also means going to the bathroom.

You should have said: "my bladder is overloaded"; "mother nature is calling"
"Something on your teeth"
😂......
🤣🤣

I never heard my American friends say "My nature calls." It isn't common to say so. Usually people said, "I need to go to the toilet/ladies/bathroom".
Yes it is common to say my nature calls, but normally only with good friends n family. Usually just say ladies/ gents or bathroom.
Tartar

If you need to fart in the middle of the dining room without offending people, fart and cough loud at the same time.
Coughing makes fart louder / strong discharge 😂🎉
Empty my bowel. Empty my bladder
too graphical
I need to poo…. I farted
I HAVE A BAD CASE OF DIARHOEAAAA
pop to the loo

Dead skin or peeling skin
Cut the cheese is American English
