Why Influencers outside India promoting things like Gambling(Drake promoting stake) and Alcohol (Sidemen Vodka) isn't downlooked but it's a different thing in India? It is mainly because of our cultural differences?
it's a cultural and legal thing; betting is allowed abroad since the avg person is much richer, and the rules, awareness is much better; in India neither is the general populous rich, nor is there awareness, hence it's potentially more harmful.
one of the very big problems that influencers and content creators to some level have is that they treat this is a full-time paying job, of course they will heavily rely on any and every brand that offers them money. there are so many influencers who use the internet not for the sake of entertainment but as an income and we have to understand, when it is time to put food on the table people are more inclined to betray someone's trust for monetary benefits. and the general audience readily believes anything at this point, it is a pull-push problem
There is another part to this, influencers receive bunch of free things from PR and thus promote the same thing to you which leads to overconsumption. People start thinking that it is normal to have 100 makeup products lying around the house, which is not true at all! Additionally, influencers use "You absolutely have to get this!" to emphasize fake importance of the product and the "life-changing" aspect of the same. Many such products advertised this way are bought by regular public who sometimes forget that influencers receive these things for free! Consumerism and Overconsumption is an agenda mainly promoted through these "relatable" influencers who still seem to pretend to be in the same pay grade as us. I would love it if you could make a video on this!
One thing I have noticed about influencers on Instagram is that once they cross the 50k-100k followers threshold, 95% of their posts are paid promotions or collab posts. You would have followed them for their funny, surface level, everyday observation, relatable skits but now it’s just ads. The ad is placed right in the middle of a 90- second reel & you can’t help but roll your eyes. I have unfollowed so many such content creators.
I totally agree with you....even after some time they start to ignore their viewers and don't even reply to their comments and if someone points out their mistakes they call them haters.

She wore 2 to 3 items of small shops or brands .. for free but didn't gave them a single shoutout. And we all know how shoutouts & or mentioning .. is important for small brands . She scammed them . Becoz she herself reached to those brands and asked them to show some kurtis , after that she took 3 kurtis ( wore one of them on ranvirs show too ) but after that she ignored those brands. This video is spot-on! I've been eager for this one ..... according to me the biggest problem is the *inauthenticity* that permeates influencer culture. People curate their online presence to project a certain image, which can be unrealistic and misleading for viewers, especially young people. Secondly, audience blindly trust influencers and obey whatever they say, audience give influencers the views they need to sustain themselves. As long as audiences continue giving the crucial views which these influencers need to sustain themselves this will not stop and in fact will only worsen here on. Finally, The mistake is mine and many more viewers like me. We know the line between influence and manipulation, But we choose to ignore the wrong part (as it is not affecting me, I know I don't need it), but it may lead to some naive viewers get manipulated and fall for the (dare I say) trap of this advertisement. For example: I watch many fitness influencer, endorsing various kinds of supplements. Now it is my duty as a viewer to first of all check whether I even need those supplements or not? If Yes, then Will it suit my body, is it made up of pure ingridients, checking variuos lab test, etc. But many of them trust those influencers blindly then feel sad after not getting the desired results.
I think a big reason for it is because people in the back of their mind do not want to take responsibility for their own decisions. It is easy to blame others, 'oh you recommend me a bad product, gave me bad advice that is why my life is not improving '.
16:46 regarding the mention of Operation Karaoke by Cobrapost, the four names that you mentioned (Arshad Warsi, Vidya Balan, Raza Murad, Saumya Tandon) are actually the only ones who refused to promote the political party for money in this sting operation
This video is researched well, nuanced with subtlety without slandering any one and the psychology of both the influencer and consumer has been tapped in to wonderfully. Keep creating great content!
This is my first watch of your presentation Influencers and it influenced me to such an extent I immediately subscribed, congratulations Carry on like this and other subjects.
Love your content. Influencers are still a new thing for me to grasp, although I see everyone around me going crazy, I still don’t get the validity of such an activity being a full time career. Only a few make it to the top and the rest follow like sheep. The desperation to succeed is tremendous and so are the levels, people can stoop to, to make themselves feel relevant.
clearly you are new to the channel; the ones who've been here for a while know it's an inside joke, but point noted, will make it more obvious for the newer people.
Audience is the main culprit, there is an audience for every content. Making internet accessible to those who are not even well versed with the usage of it has made it worse.
Also to add to this I recently saw my nephew watching a Indian UA-camr promoting a mystery box site where one can order mystery boxes of various prices and get huge awards. Since me and my brother we live in same house he told me about it and we both knew it was rigged but still shown, all the youtubers had millions in following and i even had watched some of their videos in beginning but their content now was just promotion of app or some website. This is just wrong and one cannot fight against the youtuber i read his comment section and no one knew about that being scam.
I can feel it how this so called influencer ruined 2-3 years of my life, I genuinely regretted for this and depressed many times and self doubted on me😢
bro get some sleep , your left eye is so sleepy get some rest brother (i am also a victim ,can't sleep fr)but you really need to,your content and the dedication to create a better society is so great really appreciated sir
More People need to see this. Sadly nothing will change because I feel as a people we like to live in this fantasy disbelief and just want to reinforce our pre-existing biases instead of challenging narratives

This is one of the most important reason I never share any video to anyone or to anyplace. If they are getting their audience from UA-cam let them get it from the content that they create , let it be validated by the audience themselves and then choose it they want to continue being part of the creator's audience.
Please make a video on the book the beautiful tree by historian Dharampal ji it's about indigenous Indian education system and because of casteism people defame and leave Hinduism please 😢😢
audience are the victims. influencers like ashish chanchalani were promoting chinese apps and betting apps, which got banned by the govt later. it's not audience's fault that they are defrauding them. blame the influencers.
7:27 correction: Anubhav Bassi career is not because of those 7 videos, he has also struggled a lot, done many theatres, dramas faced challenges, which has made his way through Bollywood. Alternate example could be Orry or someone else who had put zero efforts and was given so much fame due to his connections in Bollywood
The glittery, curated worlds can indeed be captivating, even if we know they're not entirely real. It's fascinating how we're drawn to them while also recognizing their flaws and critiquing them. It speaks to the complex relationship we have with media today.
As you said in the end it's all about awareness I mean like 3/4 yo kids have smartphone's these days which is like crazy!!! I am 16 and I proudly say that I don't have a smartphone I have a pc that too in the livin room so that my parents can see ki larka kar kya raha hai! like bro only if parents be aware of their kids then ye problem to hogi hi nahi na? yeah phone is imp but u have to check how does your kid use it ryt? I scored 94.6 in boards and i too studied online from youtube but because my pc was in the living room my parents knew that mai par hi raha hu and I think we need that kind off check at least until we mature mentally
Great Video, I feel like people should only create content if there is a need for it, I never understand the concept of daily vlogs, it has no pros, it only amplifies para-social relationship.
Vedant bhai Kuch to yr 499 ka ek zoom meet pe course Apka b tha 😂 still remember that webextension you told for SEO scraping . And the way you taught video editing in that course only 🤣 was fun though . Been 3-4 years
I remember, but I won't count it as a scam; at that point it was the best information I could provide, if I were to do something like this now, I'd do it at an offline setting, give out information that I think is best right now, and actually charge a lot more.
An Influencer is someone who motivates and influences people in a good way so that contribute to society. Some of them think that at one side they will show you helping one side and on the other hand they are telling their own own audience to do betting. Although I just wanted to say they are not influencer they are "Content Creators". -Thank You
Earlier it was cinema, television. Now its SM content via influencers. The only thing that doesn’t change is - our need for escapism😢 Isi pe sab capitalize karte hai.
Also it is easy for people to blame influencers for their own bad decisions or lack of interest in doing some research about things to get/to do. And for many it is easy to hate on influencers rather than dealing with their own life.
This video made no sense: 1. When you're in a sales job, you get a salary to sell company products. Oftentimes, you've not used the product you're actually selling. So if influencers do it, why is it a crime. 2. He spoke about so many influencers make money fast compared to traditional jobs. What's the issue with that? 3. If a viewer is getting influenced by a 1 minute reel and purchases a product based on what an influencer says, the viewer is dumb. He actually is lazy to do some research and banks his decision based on a reel. 4. More importantly, through this video, you're also trying to influence a decision.
There need to be strong influencers who will say not to consume contents, not to use social media more than an hour in a day. All internet providers, platform providers need to disconnect after 1 hr of internet use. Current generations are content addicted since birth. Prevent it. Encourage them to take care of nature. They have bigger trouble and greatest responsibility. Influencers must start giving challenges to do something good daily.

@@bandana_rathore exactly!
you've understood the problem, the solution begins there
@@vedantrusty 👍
I hope Vedant bro will not betray their audience 😅😂
Yeah right 😅
You also betrayed us by click bait. You used popular names in the beginning and you didn't say anything about them. Why would you do that
HE IS ALSO ONE OF THEM
16:46 regarding the mention of Operation Karaoke by Cobrapost, the four names that you mentioned (Arshad Warsi, Vidya Balan, Raza Murad, Saumya Tandon) are actually the only ones who refused to promote the political party for money in this sting operation
I thing you should correct is only arshad varsi & vidya balan refused to do promotion for political parties and You are doing Good 👍 Keep it up 👍👍
This video is researched well, nuanced with subtlety without slandering any one and the psychology of both the influencer and consumer has been tapped in to wonderfully. Keep creating great content!
I'm happy I don't even watch their content and i don't even know more then half of famous influencers😂😂
This is my first watch of your presentation Influencers and it influenced me to such an extent I immediately subscribed, congratulations Carry on like this and other subjects.
Welcome aboard!
Thank god someone is spreading truth 🎉thank u bro your work is awesome
Love your content. Influencers are still a new thing for me to grasp, although I see everyone around me going crazy, I still don’t get the validity of such an activity being a full time career.
Only a few make it to the top and the rest follow like sheep. The desperation to succeed is tremendous and so are the levels, people can stoop to, to make themselves feel relevant.
Bro really said "reply bhi milega" like we all dying for that 👽
😂😂😂
Typical influencer ? 😂😂😂
clearly you are new to the channel; the ones who've been here for a while know it's an inside joke, but point noted, will make it more obvious for the newer people.
Never excited about any influencer from the beginning.
I don't care about other people, and I think that's why no one can influence me.
Aajtak kisi faltu entertainment influencers ko nahi follow Kiya nahi video dekha 🗿
This is just wrong and one cannot fight against the youtuber i read his comment section and no one knew about that being scam.
it's quite a big problem
Slayy point??

I can feel it how this so called influencer ruined 2-3 years of my life, I genuinely regretted for this and depressed many times and self doubted on me😢
2:00 you did as well bro, astrotalk bhul gaye kya
Sahi kaha bhai
poori video dekho, iska bhi jawab hai worry not
Babe wake up, rusty just dropped another compelling video
I never use any product other than Nivea body lotion & Almond hair oil in my life & Idk why people obsessed with so much to beauty products?
bro get some sleep , your left eye is so sleepy get some rest brother (i am also a victim ,can't sleep fr)but you really need to,your content and the dedication to create a better society is so great really appreciated sir
Tbh, the world of influencers isn't anything intellectual. No need to expect such ideals from them
But the audience can use their intellectual
More People need to see this. Sadly nothing will change because I feel as a people we like to live in this fantasy disbelief and just want to reinforce our pre-existing biases instead of challenging narratives
a Group Discussion between you, Nitish Rajput and TheSatyaShow would be great in theory
hahah already have a podcast with Nitish though
As a brand manager I can confirm the word Said by him is true 👍🏻
Ek min bhai Vidya Balan , arshad varsi , Raza Murad or soumya tandan nay political parties k liye paid promotion kerne say mana kiya tha , uska audio bhi available hae jaha per vo mana ker rehe hae , apna information correct karo , kobra post may in 4ro ka Kai mention nehi hae ki unhone paise le k political party ka agenda promote Kiya ho.
Wohi toh mein bhi soch rha tha.
This is one of the most important reason I never share any video to anyone or to anyplace. If they are getting their audience from UA-cam let them get it from the content that they create , let it be validated by the audience themselves and then choose it they want to continue being part of the creator's audience.
spot on
Please make a video on the book the beautiful tree by historian Dharampal ji it's about indigenous Indian education system and because of casteism people defame and leave Hinduism please 😢😢
🃏 The live casino games are my favorite. The blackjack tables especially. Feels like the dealer is right there with you
Saare influencers ki aukat tab dikh gayi jab unki eyes ek door desh pe padi pur padoshi desh ke minorities ke liye ek aansu bhi nahin bahe
Finally someone showing reality of fast growth 📈
I've been watching Dhruv rathee's videos for past 4 to 5 years, but I never bought the KUKU FM subscription.
Proud of myself for never following any influencers or celebrities ever
same
audience are the victims. influencers like ashish chanchalani were promoting chinese apps and betting apps, which got banned by the govt later. it's not audience's fault that they are defrauding them. blame the influencers.
We need such videos! Great work
Amazing video 🔥🔥🔥
Glad to watch this type of quality content..
Keep it up
So finally one more video ends with no impact on this toxic world of marketing and selling literally anything 😑
I always knew that imformations... Thats why i dnt follow much influencers...
7:27 correction: Anubhav Bassi career is not because of those 7 videos, he has also struggled a lot, done many theatres, dramas faced challenges, which has made his way through Bollywood. Alternate example could be Orry or someone else who had put zero efforts and was given so much fame due to his connections in Bollywood
it's the catalyst
@@vedantrusty hmm that's true
I scored 94.6 in boards and i too studied online from youtube
but because my pc was in the living room my parents knew that mai par hi raha hu
and I think we need that kind off check at least until we mature mentally
frankly, there are ways parents can be more aware and work on this problem, they just don't for several reasons
Good video!! A small correction btw. Vidya Balan, Soumya Tondon, Arshad Warsi rejected the offer..
We wants more videos like this👍
Great topic and in-depth breakup of the cycle of influencer and marketing. But the average Joe doesn’t get it and doesn’t care
First of all not every creator is an influencer. If creators started to influence people then it is concerning
The moment someone starts to listen to your advice without cross checking you become an influencer.
Great Video, I feel like people should only create content if there is a need for it, I never understand the concept of daily vlogs, it has no pros, it only amplifies para-social relationship.
it gets them views, validation and money
@@vedantrusty yes they are not doing it for the art of making good videos that help others, they just want easy money, and that's atrocious.
Soon there will be influencer marketing degree and Vedant bhai will be the professor of research and analysis 😂
hahaha kar to sahte hai
Vedants popping off lately. Good for you man!
Vidya Balan did not agree to promote political parties in Operation Karoake
Such a wholesome video....the breakdown of such complex topic is next level !
Some of them think that at one side they will show you helping one side and on the other hand they are telling their own
own audience to do betting.
Although I just wanted to say they are not influencer they are "Content Creators".
-Thank You
Earlier it was cinema, television. Now its SM content via influencers. The only thing that doesn’t change is - our need for escapism😢
Isi pe sab capitalize karte hai.
Also it is easy for people to blame influencers for their own bad decisions or lack of interest in doing some research about things to get/to do.
And for many it is easy to hate on influencers rather than dealing with their own life.
I am associated with uh from the start of this channel and today I’m happy to see 300 K ❤
These so called influencers have chapari gained fans ! Esi popularity kya kam ki jab koi high value insan na pehchane !
This video made no sense:
Want video on ashneer grover
That guy is the biggest scamer
First time I saw your video. You provided very valuable information. Thanks!
On a side note I have never seen the people on the thumbnail
There need to be strong influencers who will say not to consume contents, not to use social media more than an hour in a day. All internet providers, platform providers need to disconnect after 1 hr of internet use. Current generations are content addicted since birth. Prevent it. Encourage them to take care of nature. They have bigger trouble and greatest responsibility. Influencers must start giving challenges to do something good daily.
Influencer ❌
Content creator ✅
Most of them are soldddddddd outs.. Only things that matter to them is money.
