This is actually very true and I personally think it's not just limited to bollywood but also extends to every other movie industry in India including south indian movies. For example, recently movies like KGF got very popular. I haven't still watched that movie completely, just watched a scene where the protagonist stalks the heroine and eventually she falls in love with the hero. Seriously, we are living in 2024 and still stalking is glorified in movies and audience is loving it. As a movie buff, I would suggest watch good quality content, don't choose content based on popularity but based on intellect. I think that's better.
@@RagnarLothbrok-n2h Salute to you, it's very rare I have seen someone criticizing the right point. Usually, what I see is people ignoring these little problems that have become a part of movies.
@@abhishekrawat8074 most of the commercial masala movie's, (especially telugu )glorify women stalking, harrassment, jokes on women for no reason. Also the same story line for the past 20-30 years. The role of the female lead or so called "heroine" is being a rich girl born to Gunda type father where the so called " hero" rescues her. The same too fair skinned heroine from North of India(mostly Punjabi kudi) in every movie. Navel fetishising is so fu& ing disgusting and the worst part is the old 50-60 year old uncles do this to 19-20 year olds. I mean how low can this get? I don't understand the audience at all. Yes there are many exceptional films too, but one can't deny the cringe you get watching certain movies. The adolescents and youth watch these movies and develop same mindset. Thankyou God for the internet, and ott platforms ,things are changing and people know better.
According to my observation, kuch directors h jo acchi stories and all late h but the thing Is audience abhi itni nahi h, not taking about the audience who watches but the audience who pay to watch. Telegram pe dekh k masterpiece bolne wali Audience abhi bohot zada h as jinko quality content dekhna h vo 40-50 ki age k nahi balki 15-30 k bracket m h (can be wrong it's what I think) and these people either are not financially good to watch movies or don't want to pay to watch... Take example of me, I watch movies lekin telegram yt aur torrent se download ki hui dekhi h. Life m actually paise karche karke buss SOTY dekhi thi release k time aur haa buss 1 baar Netflix ka aur 2 baar ott play is subscription liya tha. So the problem is in audience not spending money to watch. Sadly mujhe bhi dekhi h lapata ladies aur bhramyugam lekin Netflix aur Amazon prime lunga tabhi dekhunga, so that they make more good movies in future. Another thing is marketing, jab story aur film itni acche bana dete h toh zada paisa bachta nahi h marketing acchi Khasi karne m varna toh vikramaditya motwane ki jublee bhi acchi thi but I didn't saw any big marketing of it, may be it was kind of artistic cinema issliye... And then things come at money, shuru m sare filmmakers apni creativity express karne aur apni imagination ko fullfil kanee k liye films banate h lekin if films nahi chalti ya kuch bhi karke paise nahi bante toh unko profitable movies banane par aana padta h ab cahe usme same story ho jo 100 saal se chal Rahi ho ya na ho if profitable h toh banana padega agar lifestyle maintain karna h toh... All above is just my observation and opinions and it can be 100% true or 100% false

This is a cop out. It has been proven time and time again that what we consume is what we think. I'm from Odisha. Back those days what was entertaining in the marriage rituals are the arguments between the priests from the bride & groom side. We never had those Sangeet, Haldi blah blah culture. Even in engagement, the mother of the groom would come & insert a ring in the fingers of the would be bride. Then in the marriage rituals, the priests from both sides would have conversations, arguments etc & we would try to calm & pacify them. But since 8-10 years, we've noticed Odia marriage now is following the Bollywood route of Mehndi, Haldi, Sangeet, pre wedding & post wedding photo shoots. We don't have rituals of exchanging garlands or taking 7 rounds of havan🔥. But now a days, all these have been incorporated. The bride coming to the groom with an umbrella supported by 4 people (may be the bride's brothers, sisters friends etc) was NEVER a tradition in Odia culture but now a days it is done. We never had a function of Haldi, Mehndi Sangeet etc but now we OUGHT 2 organise/participate. Hardly anyone knows the meaning, relevance, purpose of the shlokas the priest chant while the wedding ceremony is in progress. Inspired from movies, we too yell at the priest claiming "Aur kitne mantra padhoge Pandit G ?? 500 Rs diye hain na" & at a later stage, inspired from another movie (probably OMG) we too are 🤔🤔 arre haan yaar ye pandit log jo mantra padhte hain, uska matlab kya hai ?? Also, only Bollywood shouldn't be blamed for it. All regional film industries are equally responsible.
Courtesy to Indian film industry, there have been advertisements, short films claiming that *Kanyadaan* ritual is an Evil or sin. What people don't know that Kanyadaan is a source of sacrifice, the highest degree of sacrifice which a Man can give & the groom family will be indebted for this the whole life. Just because people take it in a wrong way as well as demand a Huge Dowry doesn't mean the ritual is sin. Similarly there are ads showing the bride as well as groom enter the 🏠 with red dye under their foot to leave a mark claiming that with the bride, the groom is also doing *Griha Pravesh* which is totally false. The bride after marriage is assumed to be Mata Lakshmi who'll bring happiness & prosperity in a house where the groom lives. Which mean the Man *Alone* cannot bring happiness & prosperity, he requires a Woman to do that. But all these are taken in a negative sense. People say film industry ne hame barbaad kar diya. Film industry would claim, hum toh wohi dikha rahe hain jo ho raha hai.
Your observation is fabulous. I do not know about adults, but children and adolescents cannot differentiate entertainment and reality. Being a teenager myself, I can surely say that I was highly impacted by movie characters in the last few years of my life. Fortunately for me, I drew inspiration from characters like Hermione Granger from Harry Potter, Jules Ostin from The Intern, Naina Talwar from YJHD, John Keating from The Dead Poets Society, Annabeth Chase from Percy Jackson and Ayesha Mehra from Dil Dhadakne Do. However, I do know boys my age who are influenced by Kabir Singh, Ranbir Singh's character from Animal (I don't know his name) and girls who are influenced by the typical divas of bollywood who think education is uncool and their only goal in life is to have a rich boyfriend and a stereotypically pretty face and body. So yeah, the younger audience moulds their entire personality around a character which has a negative impact on society at large.

The same too fair skinned heroine from North of India(mostly Punjabi kudi) in every movie.

I know man somewhat agree

Because culture meant to be a Social thing, but there's always a Individual personality In every person. We shouldn't force anything upon anyone to follow. Because anyone could have there preferences, so we should respect there choices until they are affecting social harmony. Also, we are seeking truth. Wow bro you are cooking some great stuff. Keep cooking these informational video and stuffs. You are doing seriously great work 😊.
Why is only Bollywood targeted here .. cinema also has south indian movie industry why are those aspects not included???
Indian movies m lead women ko mini skirt m kyu dikhate h 🥴 even 70s m bhi faltu ka bikni scene dal dete the
@nqi1816 isliye Indian movies bola h 🥴 comments to pad liya kar
@nqi1816 Marathi and bnagali Indian cinema m nhi ata h kya 🤭

@@vedantrusty then please do more research on different industry and not just blame Bollywood because log sab language k movies dekhte hai , unse inspire or impact hote hai
I’m just happy people like you are finally waking up. I love indian cinema, like pre 2010ish. It always frustrated me that Bollywood tries so hard to be “western” while ignoring its own uniqueness, and great talents. Gangs of wesseypur is still the greatest contemporary indian movie in my opinion.
thanks

thank you my man!
@@vedantrusty bhai ek series Indian culture pe banao na like each state has its different I'm from Maharashtra aur baki states ke baare me basics hi pata hai and just bade wale functions or festivals.. Chanakya was right when he said entertainers (actirs, singers, etc) are the lowest hung of society and should be taxed the highest .
Singing is a divine art that must be respected.
I don't think the Indian culture is so weak that it will be ruined by Bollywood.
You’ll be surprised
There's no understanding of culture in people nowadays especially urban places.
It is, slow poison
@@mtk3755 because there is no need for it, people in urban places are ruthlessly pragmatic, they will not entertain habits that won't get them quick pleasure or money. That's just the reality!
this is the same logic communists use for their anti hindu talking point
Content 👏, respect to the creator
Agreed with the marriage pov but rest of the video felt constant yapping. If you like a movie go watch it it's not that deep besides it's your fault that you're only watching only commercial movies.
There's a reason why Bandit Queen was R-rated it doesn't glorify violence it's about oppression, movies like KGF, Salaar, almost every south movies openly glorifies romanticises Violence you can see the impact if you ever been to banglore or Hyderabad taxi drivers are so fucking aggressive. There're even cases of public thrashing of people who didn't like their favourite star's movie and spoke about it.
And about public display of love and hook up culture and relationships before marriage. It's not Bollywood's influence time changes so does the customs and traditions. Have you ever been to Kerala or even Bangalore people here are more open to dating and hook ups so according to your theory tell me how many bollywood movies did they watch.
You said these things shouldn't be norms for you to say that I must presume you are virgin and never had a girlfriend in your life otherwise you are just a hypocrite and somewhat a incel judging people what they should and shouldn't do.
Loved this video and your analysis ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can we also talk abt the problems of south movies for once ?!
I don't watch south movies
@@vedantrusty ohhh okayyy thats nicee
@@priyaoswal8453 i like south movies because of action
@@priyaoswal8453 aisa lagta h mano sach m koi tod fod kar rha h 😂
What are the problems of movies from the south?
The problem is that Bollywood is always copying Hollywood instead of using India. vast culture, language and religions , to create original movies, that could connect with audiences at home first, charity begins at home, and if a movie is not received at home by Indians , why a foreigner should watch the movie ?
1000% CORRECT AND TO THE POINT! Never seen any foreigner/non-english speaker going nuts for the Indian Cinema, AND YET we are crazy for their movies and even want our local films to be nominated at Oscars, the question IS: does those Americans want our National Film Award??? NO CUZ they have no real interest in other cinemas, AND EVEN this name "Bollywood" sounds like a rip-off of the Hollywood.
we want raw and real
Yes
Long and strong
Loose and wide
You know but bro, you're right. The problem is who watches these types of videos; they already understand this. I'm not 100% sure, but I definitely say I am right. And those who are affected by this never watch these types of videos. The audience is always drawn to cheap content, as you see on Instagram, Facebook, and UA-cam. They get over 100 million views, but informative videos like this rarely get a million views. This is always disheartening for society.
The impact thing is just baseless. You have to look at the complete Indian cinema man. I know that hating bollywood is going to give you more watching and reach, cause many people like seeing stuff like this, but this isnt right.
The influence thing is like saying, "If your friend jumps down a building, will you jump down too?" The youngsters have to be educated by their parents, teachers, by the indian education system. Films are a source of entertainment. South Films have so much of gore, and have had stuff like this for so long. They dont even hide that type of stuff like bollywood does at times. And the objectification, my god!!! The white actress thing is just so damn true for this part. And about the dark-completion of the actors, well then nawaz and johnny lever will have to leave his job right?
Look at the indian cinema as a whole, dont target a single industry like this. I really like your content and want to keep watching it. But you have to save your content now...
He will not reply to you he's the biggest hypocrite, he just manipulates facts to please the south wave riding audience. At least bollywood tries to empower women but in South movies they only keep them as eye-candies having no significance to the plot.
Plus why does South movies only show fair skin actresses but in reality they're dark skinned. Bollywood heroines like Kajon Rani Mukherjee Jaya Bachchan why are so successful ? They are not fair😢. Vedant bhai apke baaton me logic nhi bas yapping h
@@ksheeeteeesh See, i understand where he's coming for. But logic is now leaving the videos. He's going for more controversial topics, especially targeting Bollywood. Every film-industry has it's positive and negative sides. He should address all those things if he wants to make it logical and fair for the viewers.

NEW VIDEO IDEA :
hey vedant...can you make a video about how information overload due to social media and internet has just killed the curiosity of people...like
i saw a short where a scientist told about how he asked few kindergardeners to ask questions and they asked very qurious questions like why sky is blue and grass is green etc....but when same thing he asked to students of 12 th class they had nothing to ask and they had no curiosity about anything.
Yes have watched the same video and that's very true I see nowadays
