What a day everyone! Thank you for being a part of the journey, every step of the way. Onto the next challenges, and I can’t wait to share the rest with you 😊😍😎🎊🎉🕺
It’s been 9 months since my stem cell transplant.. had an immediate hospitalization within 24 hours of my release stay 1 additional week and have been in full remission since. You have no idea how much your channel helped ease my mind during my treatment. It’s been a pleasure watching you go from patient to survivor to doctor. Thanks Tyler for sharing your journey and showing us all how to remain positive. You are going to be an amazing doctor. Continue blessings!
Congratulations for the medical title, Doctor Blah...The malignancy is well contained and unnoticeable, as if it never occurred. I was tunning into the subject of liquid malignancies, Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), and the entire spectrum of medical science and stumbled into this case. Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) has so much potential for much good and perhaps the key to Eternity...Cheers Mate!
Congratulations Tyler! Very happy for you, you deserve it! About the same day you posted this I was given some bad news. Relapse on Day 40+ of transplant. Fortunately no second transplant needed. That's what they say at least. They're looking into car-t cell therapy and other types of therapy I've never looked into. I don't mean to drag the party down, If anything, let my example serve as how lucky/fortunate someone can be! We've gone through shittiness one day at a time and came out on top. 💪🏻 Perseverance through and through!
Thanks Mr Alic! But that sucks to hear about the relapse. No other way to put it. One great thing is that CAR t Cell is a great therapy choice. The good thing with immunotherapy is that you get to receive the treatment with in some cases no side effects. For instance when I had T cell therapy for my lymphoma (not Car T cell, but a form of T cell) I had no side effects and responded well. Of course that isn’t guaranteed, but that was my personal experience and I only hope you gain a lot of positive from this next therapy too! Always drop by!
@@TylerBlah thanks for the insight- I had missed out on that somehow (the fact that you had a type of t-cell therapy) Glad it worked! Looking forward for more great content!
So it varies across all patients . And the variation depends on type of cancer, individual factors, and precious responses to treatment. It’s hard to say a blanket number for most cancers unfortunately, but your doctor should know the best guide/advice for the different kind effecting you
Most important thing is always confide in and talk to your nurses, psychologists and doctors! The next thing, was that for me food was a big thing! Having biscuits, tea, cheese and bread, meant I always had some snacks that I enjoyed any time of day. That on top of a constant stream of tv shows and movies and helps the time go! The key I found was getting the clock to move quickly so you can then recover!
Brother, iam 16 years old now was diagnosed with AML on 22 feb 2020 , iam in full remmision it has been over a year since remmision iam very insecure about talking about this and frightned about relapse even if it is 20%, and my survival, how can i make the relapse chances less and my health in the long run need some assistance here, thank you and much love ❤❤.
Hey! Wow yes that is a lot for you to go through, particularly at that age. Thank you also for sharing it on the channel. As far as prevention goes, the key is to make sure you follow your Doctors direct advice about health and medications. On top of that, a healthy diet, exercise, and living life to the fullest are your next best options ! All of those have helped me, as well as making sure you look after your mental health always too 👌
Sir today is my friend's last chemotherapy and after 10 days his bone marrow transplant ..he was diagnosed lymphoma .. He is too mach side effects of high dose chemotherapy.. I m very scared , please tell me about your experience
Hi Sadaf, I have made two videos discussing this. One is on the chemotherapy side effects, and another on the bone marrow transplant process. And then follow up videos where I describe the effects afterwards! I hope you find them useful
Yes continue training in Sydney for sure. It’s a wonderful spot for training and great opportunities 👌👌And specializing is definitely the plan. It just takes a lot longer before I can 😅😊
