Hey David..you are brother now .. I love the way you appreciated our diverse indian culture and food.. We all indians are family.. N welcome to indian family brother..
Kori gasi is Mangalore -Udupi dish. You need to check it out, They have produced some of India most known food, like masala dosa, ghee roast, neer dosa, buns, sukkas.
Love it, David, absolutely love your Indian food uploads👍you’re the perfect ambassador to represent India via simply eating out😊Always envious though, as you eat more and better Indian food than I😉thanks and keep on eating and giving us recommendations to try out varied Indian food at the restaurants all over US🙏
Yes, Neha you are good and know your stuff. Polite and well mannered. David I am so happy you love Indian food and are willing to try anything and everything. Keep it up. Enjoyed watching all of you, kitchen staff, manager, all the best 👍
Man I love watching this man!!!! I like how he tries all types of food without complaining about anything. People always criticize before they even try it. Love this man! He does not criticize or anything. He tries it then tells his opinion.
I love how he tells people who know more than him “they call it black gold”. Then they all stare at him like “that’s not true… but I don’t want to argue”
I live in parsipanny and I’m so bummed I missed you! I’ve been a fan for so long! The way you eat Indian food with your hands is on point. Great job 👏🏽. I also love when you go back into the kitchen and show footage of how everything is made. Keep up the great work!
OMG! I grew up in Parsippany, well Lake Hiawatha! I graduated from Parsippany High in 2007 and have since moved to Southwest Delaware! It’s been soooo long since I’ve been home so it’s so nice to go back! The first restaurant u showed was MY FAV Indian restaurant when I lived there, it was called something else though. They’re butter chicken is the best!! Thank you for this video!!
fyi Sham=Evening savera=Morning here sham is the palak kofta (darak evening color) and savera is the gravy (bright morning orange color when sun comes out). So this dish is “shamsavera”
Yesss, Jersey stand up!!! I just watch your mega video from last year. I’m officially in LOVE with Indian food. We have some great places in Bangkok, but your video had me wanting to catch a flight. Thank you : )
There are so many restaurants in parsipanny where u can try like Bollywood grill , chand palace , honest , a2b , tandoori flames, spice grill , dosa house , dosa express , etc etc
I tried Dhaba Express for the first time along with the soya chop, a dish I'd never tried before, and likely wouldn't had I not watched this. Thanks for making such an appetizing video. You got me to branch out from the few local Indian places I'd been going to.
Bro i just can't express how happy i am everytime i see your video😍 i don't care how long it is i used to watch without skipping a bit🤩like I'm from India and never been to America but it's very fascinating watching you mannn! You're the best! 👑🙌
Hey David, it’s great you’re exploring Indian food in the US. Just a suggestion - The Kori Gassi that you had is not from Kerala it’s from Mangalore. Mangalore is also a coastal city but in Karnataka. They also use a lot of coconut in their cuisine and are known for great seafood and vegetarian foods. Would be great if you could explore the place when you’re in india the next time! Keep it going man 🤘🏼🤛🏼
India doesn't give their passports to non-Indians. They don't permit dual nationality. So you can be sure that most of the Indian-looking people in this video are not Indians in Indian law. They won't have Indian passports or Indian nationality. Indians love to become United States, Canadian, European, Australian and British passport-holders, because these passports open doors for them. Indian passports are essentially worthless, as can be ascertained from any of the major, passport-rating websites. However, in order to acquire these prestigious, White people's passports, Indians are required to surrender their Indian passports to India. When the slightest opportunity arises, Indians willingly dump their worthless passports and rush to get their White sahibs or memsahib's passport.
My mom always said that tiny chillies are the most hot ones. May be try a big chili and trust me you will have a different experience. That Indian cucumber is actually snake guard. It’s extremely delecious. Quite common in southern part of India. I think Haleem is long cooked meat and wheat and other ingredients. Eating food with hand is awesome. Thank you for the amazing video. God bless you.
Hey David just a correction Kori chicken gashi is a mangalorean or udupi dish and not Kerala. Any dish with coconut in it doesn't mean will come only from Kerala. Coconut or be it curry leaves is almost used in all South India cuisines not only kerala cuisine. Do discover the luscious greenery of udupi, mangalore and you will be blown by the simplicity in food , people and culture. Do visit to try the sea food heaven in udupi mangalore side too. To quote further you have not even tasted 1% of what South India has to offer. Be it udupi, madurai, hyderabad, dharwad, the local cuisine of South India is not just limited to dose or idli. It has many more local delights which has not yet gained mainstream exposure but are no less than panner butter masala any given day.
Just discovered your channel. I live in Parsippany. I don't really eat Indian food (beside some dishes that my neighbor has given me ( which have been really good) I shop at the Bazaar Big delight quite often. Great tour of the store and explanation of different items. Great to see a video about the local cuisine. I definitely want to try some of the restaurant dishes now. Thanks for highlighting our great town. :-)
Parsippany has a large Indian population so not surprisingly has many options for Indian cuisine. It is one of the best in my opinion. Chand Palace is a vegetarian restaurant worth trying. Down the road in Rockaway, Indian Aroma is one of the best in the area.
This video is like going to a 3 day wedding and eating everything available... 😂😂😂..but I loved it so much ❤️❤️ Thankyou David for showing us the best that's there... ❤️❤️
Groceries! Great fresh produce at big bazaar; not just Indian things. Also try subzi mandi on other side of I-287 if it's closer / easier to get to (same stuff, slightly smaller store, similar prices), and patel bros + more. There's a very good asian grocery store "top quality market" a few miles down the road (46 same side) for another whole range of cuisines. I love to cook a wide variety of international cuisines, and these stores are indispensable. There are several more in the area, and they all are worth a look.
Have been to the bazaar many times since I work near there. Have seen these restaurants but never have eaten there.....yet! Will be trying them out. Great video!
Friendly correction: As someone from all the way "North," they do NOT use spoons bruv! Also, Kashmiri "naan" is not a thing. It's a modern day Indian American restaurant invention. I swear they add nuts and raisins to anything and call it "Kashmiri." Real Kashmiri breads are tsot, ghyev tsot, lavasa, sheermal, katlam, bagarkhaani, girda, roath, and tilwor. Happy eating!
Could hear the Hindi songs playing at the background and even Cindy loppers song....girls just wana have fun...but url too had lots of fun with Indian food...amazing just love ur video
Nisha, you just got yourself inducted into the hall of fame for being the first woman to teach David how to eat Channa batura and Aloo paratha! Otherwise, it's always been the other way around! 😊😊
my neighbour(a white american) hates Indian food and I had to call the cops multiple times because she used to create violent scenes outside my appt whenever I was making the food. Good to see you loving the indian food so much. I stay in Parsippany, NJ
Your Indian co-host doesn't hide that she's very greedy. At the same time she's elegant the whole time. Not messy one bit. Her lips are always ready to be kissed.
Bollywood songs in back n Indian food on table.... Wow🙌🥳 it's like a combo Dave....amazing vlog again.... When r u planning another trip to your foodland😀🇮🇳 India!!
In Vedic tradition, we eat with our hands because the five elements within them begin to transform food and make it digestible even before it reaches the mouth. This transformation also heightens the senses so that we can smell, taste and feel the texture of the foods we are eating.
@10:19 actually Tandoor is not Indian subcontinent cuisine it is imported to that region when the meat eaters -- Turks, Mughals, Persian and other moved in from central Asia and the middle east - they still use Tandoor in those regions. Traditionally the subcontinent was " veg based society". Now you may call it "Indian Tandoori with mix of Indian species". In Persian they call it "Tanoor" - In the middle east traditionally they dug the hole underground and cook the meat as whole carcasses. The best "Tanoori" bread you find in Afghanistan, Uzbekistan in central Asia up to Turkey and beyond.
One correction in the name of the dishes. "Kori Gassi" is a traditional Mangalorean/South Canara dish and not from Kerala. It is a coconut based Chicken gravy usually had with Rotti, Which is thin rice crisp wafers. The combination is called as Kori-Rotti. Yum!! :D
I grew up here for 25 years and only live 30 minutes from here now! This is surreal and so amazing and cool!!! Thanks for coming and eating at my breeding grounds!!! I’ve been to so many of these restaurants and still do! This is SO COOL
I grew up in Parsippany and had many Indian friends and classmates growing up. I've eaten and shopped in some of these places. Great little tour!

British did not make curries. In India we have different names. The British introduced the name curry for Indian style gravy & sauce.
paratha is made from whole wheat flour. naan is made from white refined flour and baking soda dough
