David, it's been an honor to have spent the entire day with you trying Indian food! Love how you're so knowledgeable about every item - I learned so much! I had tried Indian food for the first time earlier this year but I had no clue what I was eating but it was great for you to show me around and try all the different tastes of India. I now have a much bigger appreciation for the cuisine because now I can describe the foods in more detail along with their ingredients and even when people eat them and how they eat it - like with their hands. First time eating with hands! Glad I was able to eat with my hands for the first time with THE INDIAN FOOD KING!
Jason thanks for trying so many dishes with Dave. Although, you'll need some practice about using your hands / fingers while eating. So keep trying Indian dishes and you'll learn just like Dave.
You're are the greatest promoters of Indian food that I have ever saw in my life keep promoting like this bro, lots & lots of love from all indians🇮🇳❤️
Hey David. Love the way you explain Indian food to your friends and family.. N most is the way you teach other people to eat indian food without utensils.. Luv u brother
I’ve learned so much about Indian food and culture bc of you. Thank you 🙏🏻 🥰. I also especially loved your Eastern European/Western Russian tour. Great job David 🤩
Hi David , I just wanted to say thank you for showing what real Indian food is , as I feel most of the western world think of curry when it comes to Indian food , and you very rightly mentioned in one of your videos that curry is a word invented by the British ( which isn’t Indian at all) . So thank you … 🙏🏻
David is so possessive with his food. Always putting them in his side, holds the food for longer, snatches the dishes at times etc. Irks me. Level up man.
My favorite part of Indian food is how diverse, novel and complex Indian food can be. Theres nothing like samosa with green chutney. Dosa is not exactly my favorite but I love parathas with chutney and tamarind or with the curries I ordered with.
Hi David (Just FYI): Idli is a soft, pillowy steamed savory cake made from rice and lentil batter. The lentils used in making idli are urad dal (black gram). Idli is a traditional breakfast made in every South Indian household. Idli is popular not only in the whole of India but outside India too. Have a great day! Nice content, Keep up good work. Cheers 🍻
David it will be amazing for ur guest to have a separate set of chutney as it remains constant with most South Indian food, and then you can share the dosa, vada, etc
Hey David, its really great you remember where all you have tasted our delicacies here in India. You are taking our Indian cuisine globally. Grrrreeeeaaaatt
David, also popular is Uppma/Uppit for breakfast. Also Besi bele bath, Kara bath, Vangi bath are popular rice based dishes which can be eaten at BF, lunch, or dinner. Try them out if you get a chance!
I’ve lived next door to Iselin/Edison all my life and love the variety of south Asian foods available. Happy that you chose to feature Chowpatty restaurant and sweets. We have been going there since it opened 30 years ago.
David, you are a bloody pro! You seem to have mastered the art of drinking hot chai, like us. In the future, you would be a hit if you were to start your cooking show, making all these dishes.
David's way of learning about other people's cultures, and his attempt to spread beautiful information about food culture is fantastic. David is a respectable man with a special personality. lover from Saudi Arabia 👍
David you eat more Indian food than me ( myself being an Indian ) 🤣🤣 I envy you man!! But I love how much you have learned about the Indian culture which closely relates to the Indian food and the way you explain it to everyone!! Love the moments when you defend stuff like an Indian would 😂 ( like when someone says Chai Tea - and you are like naaah man its Chai not chai tea ) 😂 Keep it up man! Love watching your videos ❤️
Yet another fun video. Jason was a quick learner and enjoyed eating Indian. But then David is a fantastic teacher and so knowledgeable of the Indian cuisine. It’s amazing how he fondly remembers all the places he’s visited in India.
Try different kinds of Dosas, including the simple Plain one. But whatever you do, avoid getting those cheese dosas and other gimmicky fast food-like variations that are popping up everywhere these days. The traditional dosas are: Plain Dosa (the OG dosa), Masala, Paper Masala, Ghee Roast, Mysore, Madras, Neer Dosa, Rava Dosa, Udipi dosa, Bangalore dosa.
There is no vinegar in any of the ingredients. The sour taste comes from fermentation of the dosa batter. And in sambar there is tomato and tamarind. The way to eat idlis is ...dip it completely in the sambar and eat with spoon .And after putting in mouth eat some chutney
Hey David! Yu doin' a great job. Love what yu do. I'm from tamil nadu and I absolutely love everything yu ate for breakfast. But indian breakfast is way more than idly, dosa, vada and uthappam. Other parts of India also have a great variety of breakfast food. I recommend yu to try and eat poha, khaman, paratha, puri with chole/ aalo and kachori because I love them personally.
David ur way of saying Chai Chaaai LOL That's what I call The Ultimate Indian Food Tour in America's greatest Indian Community !! The Background Music was also Dope !
I feel so good to see this, that you are enjoying our Indian food and also you are teaching to someone how to enjoy Indian food and also telling about our culture and everything.. it's so nice. So much Love from Hooghly, West Bengal...❤️
I've bern here so many times!!! My family lives nearby. Amazing food, perfect quick snacks and paan too 😋😋😊😀👍 . You name it.. al of the best street foods, pani puri is amazing and papri chaat
Hey David !!your knowledge of Indian food is impressive!! Here I want give one anwear to your for bhelpuri bhelpuri is invented in Gujarat for school kid like lunch time snake since many year ago thank you bro and love the way you describe indian food
32:40 David, just a tip, whenever eating pani puri, put in mouth immediately after filling the water. The reason for this is if you wait after filling water then the ball will get soggy or break down.
Wowww!! So happy to see you back in Jersey city. I use to live two blocks away from Dosa house back in 2017-18, happy to see Jersey City restaurants (Dosa house) in specific, hope you guys enjoyed the breakfast. Few of my colleagues use to live on that Sambar - LOL Go and try Biriyani Pot too!! Enjoy mate!!
It was treat to eyes ... David in your upcoming restaurant, you might as well start classes for first timers as how to eat Indian food ... double income rest assured :)
Hey David! I am from India, We have our pani puri with both the waters minty and sweet and tangy together to give mix of all flavors. Although it's up to you what you prefer and being served the way you request...here in this video the side sauce is sweet which we fill in pani puri with the minty water.
Loved watching your video ✌👍. The pani of panipuri is generally tamarind water mixed with masala. For papdi chaat, you put the chaat (puffed rice bhujia mixture) on top of the papdi (fried crisp) , and eat it like a taco. Which is why on the streets of india, you will see the papdi placed at the bottom layer and topped with the bhujia, tamarind sauce, nuts and few more stuff. So you hold the papdi with the bhujia on top and eat it in one bite. We generally eat bhelpuri with a wooden spoon from a roadside vendor.
I feel confident enough to say: All American's who want to try out Indian food for the first time, need to go through David's channel for a crash course in Indian food.😊
David I would love to have you come to Fort Myers and I’ll host you. You can introduce me to Indian foods. I’ve been watching your videos like crazy for the last few days.
Hello, David! I really enjoy watching your videos. They are very informative and beautifully crafted. I admire your love for Indian cuisine. Saw you eating bhelpuri, which is one of my favourite dishes. You guessed correctly... It originated in Mumbai.
I liked that David when he asked you when will the people in India eat this like is that a evening food or morning.. and you instantly said "Anytime" that's true 😊😊😆👍
David, it's been an honor to have spent the entire day with you trying Indian food! Love how you're so knowledgeable about every item - I learned so much! Jason thanks for trying so many dishes with Dave. Although, you'll need some practice about using your hands / fingers while eating. So keep trying Indian dishes and you'll learn just like Dave.

Your love for Indian food can heard when you are talking! Had to smile when you started listing the sides that go with dosas 😄
David is so possessive with his food. Always putting them in his side, holds the food for longer, snatches the dishes at times etc. Irks me. Level up man.
True, David is king of Indian food. He has experienced it all, from north to south, east to west. Just amazing!
My favorite part of Indian food is how diverse, novel and complex Indian food can be. Theres nothing like samosa with green chutney. Dosa is not exactly my favorite but I love parathas with chutney and tamarind or with the curries I ordered with.
