I have the same one color and everything. Only thing different I have the touch sensitive steering wheel. Many complained about it but I don't have a problem with it. Now VW switched back to the physical button steering wheel.
VW = great build quality. If you think it is not responsive enough drive in “S” mode instead of “D”. Not sure if you need to have 4-Motion in order to change driving modes but Sport Mode (on my SE 4-Motion) really helps. Good gas mileage, comfortable seats, what’s not to like? Love my 2022 VW Tiguan.
When’s the new gen coming to USA, Ben? Can you ask any of your contacts. Some say early 2024 but salespeople at VW dealerships claim it’s not coming to UsA.
Apr tuning for criminaly low money gets you to 264hp plus alot more torque... and you are ready to go... no parts needed. This a detuned engine... 2.0tsi goes from 150 up until 300hp
My 2023 R-Line SE digital dash is much wider & my steering wheel is touch sensitive with no buttons. I wonder why this one is missing those things. I do love mine btw. Best purchase ever.
Traded in my 2023 Golf R for a 2024 Tiguan R Line fully loaded. Couldnt be happier! Im very impressed, where the Golf R falls flat, the Tiguan shines. Sure its no race car, but thats kinda the point
Why would you do that? The golf R has practically the same features, Faster and better mpg, expect like a 360 degree camera which isn’t even needed in those car in my opinion
@MrChubbytaco the golf R is a compromise in itself. The rear seats are too small for passengers to be comfortable, and the rear hatch space is basically non existent because of the rear seats. Literally it's about 1 and a half feet deep. That's it. Big enough for 3 or 4 bags of grocery. And the fuel economy between the Golf R and a Tiguan aren't even comparable. I used to have a Chysler 300 SRT8 and the Golf R was comparable to that in real world economy. And the R needs more expensive Premium fuel.
@@MrChubbytaco plus the whole interior situation, the Tiguan has more physical buttons and knobs for basic things. It's better than the R's touch controls and touch panels. You'll never understand how annoying it is to go through a touch screen menu to adjust climate controls or use a touch slider for music volume while you're driving down a bumpy road with that super stiff Golf R suspension. Operation was never anything less than outright annoying.
My 2021 Tiguan Highline is decent... but as most have said and I know my self that the engine is really pokey and underpowered. Rides nice ... not a good vehicle for town but highway/long trips very comfortable. I wil say it is beast for Canadian winters. 4motion + studded tires is amazing
DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE! There is a reason they only give you a 50,000 mile power train warranty. If you do buy one, don’t expect it to get you much further than that. The crankshaft on mine went after 67,000 miles. VW’s are not what they used to be.
@@Mr20001 yeah? Well it happened to me, my sister’s 2016 (mine was a 2017) and the guy from webuyanycar told me they’ve been buying a TON of that exact model of Tiguans, which I don’t believe he had much of a reason to lie to me. Also I would argue that a 60,000 mile warranty when most other reputable manufacturers are offering 100,000 is REALLY saying something. But yeah thanks for your overwhelming amount of sympathy
I bought this car, model 2021. It is a bad, noisy car with many electronic malfunctions, and it is expensive to repair, and the dealer is trying to exhaust you. Do not buy this type
2024 model Not that nice. Looks nice I will give them that.. Cheap feeling touch screen for heat and air. 2.0 turbo motor is weak. Hesitation when pressing the gas pedal. Seats are hard as a rock. Digital dash is ugly and boring. Ports for phone plug in are made for people with small hands.
Legends are still waiting for the full review

Hoping they increase the power to the GLI level for 2024.
Nope!
In germany we get a 240 hp version and a 320 hp R version
Apparently we can't be trusted with such HP.

The steering wheel look like the one on my 2019 Sorento
Darker gray exterior with the storm grey interior and black headliner looks 🍭
R Line just means lots of R badges? Surely there’s actual benefits to the R Line worth mentioning?
Great review and make of manufacture

Waiting for the TDI to come back
I’m gonna drive this car tonight
My 2016 has cooled seats how come this one doesn’t?
Rented one while on a trip... criminally underpowered!
Drove a diesel one before still felt underpowered but it did get saved by the torque fron the diesel
@@TYPICALTRYHARD_what about the Tiguan R?? 320bhp, it’s a best no?
my 09 tiguan has more hp than this one lol, i don’t even know what the “r-line” stands for. all i know is that my tiguan is wayyy sportier

Any problems so far ? If it wasn’t for reliability it’ll be my #1 choice for a suv rn, but thinking about going for the cx5,

3rd row in the new Tiguan only for NA.

This small touareg better
That motor is an absolute joke!
