When you are on surrounded camera ON, slide the screen with the finger to focus on the side you want to see with more detail. There are more modes to see what is going on with the front camera, like a wide angle camera to see on blind spots exits. Great videos by the way. Thanks

This is my first VW let alone a Tiguan so this was incredibly helpful. I got it through Motability as it’s hard to find a car that will hold a wheelchair and a scooter. They didn’t really explain controls to me they just sent me on my way lol thank you for the help !!! Xx
Great video and info!! we just bought a 2023 base model and one of the features my wife wants the remote start so there is a plug and plate kit that you buy from VW that’s $230 and you will automatically have a remote start with your original key.
Thank you for your videos....In regards to the analog clock (on my 2022 Tiguan) when the radio is turned off...I would like it to stay on when the radio is on. I have the radio channel on the front display and I can change the stations with the steering controls. My question is how do I keep the clock on and the radio at the same time. Thank you
Bought a new Tiguan r-line last year 😎. After the sales rep showed the automatic parking to us I said to him “that’s the first and the last time that function will ever be used” 😂
I've never worked up enough courage to try it. It would have been nice if the dealership had a little practice area with fake cars to let buyers get comfortable with it. OTOH, this is the first car I've had with a rear view camera. I'm still not perfect with it, but it's great and kills any benefit I'd have from park assist.

Great tips! I love my 2022 SEL R-line Tiguan. Just a quick correction that the semi-auto parking is called "Park Assist", not "Park Pilot". Park Pilot are pretty much just awareness sensors. Also got me confused before but VW website clarified it when I was researching features.

It helps you get in but does it help you get out for parking? Like let’s say there was ample room to parallel park but when you get back to your car new cars are there and it’s super tight?

In regards to the map display in the cockpit, when using apple map for specific directions, those directions will show up in the cockpit. Unfortunately, when using google maps, those directions do not show up in the cockpit. I really love driving this car and will move to the Atlas Cross Sport next! Merry Christmas!

Great vid, just got an R Line model yesterday. I had a question - when my car goes to auto apple car play, and I choose to just use the radio, it keeps reverting back to apple car play a couple mins later. Is there a way to disable this happening?
I bought my 2022 SE R Line Black for light mud and trails that aren't too bad. I'm trying to find a level kit and AT tires with a more aggressive tread. Can you recommend a level kit and tires? Will 255/55r19 work after the level kit is installed?
Just purchased 2022 R-line Tiguan, SEL.. 1. Can't find how to adjust the Speed Warning device. Presently "stuck" at 30 mph...driving me CRAZY! 2. Came w/o Navigation...I've been told, at my VW dealer that there is a way to (figure out) use my Samsung smartphone to do the navigatiom INTEGRATED with what the vehicle has there now. (When I push the "Nav." button, the message comes up that "this vehicle does not have navigation". Nice, huh, on a $40k vehicle)
All these neat features would make me want a Tiguan but two things that they lack: no GTI engine (it's the same displacement even with the turbocharger so it would fix the HP issue easily). Also no manual. Off roaders say it helps to have one when you need very low gearing to crawl over massive potholes and rocks. It also would make this more fun to drive through winding streets. Roads frequently ice over in my town so a manual makes it MUCH easier to hold any gear when you have to drive very slowly to keep from skidding everywhere. Traction control doesn't always respond well to icy roads and every brand programs theirs differently. I can control the car on ice and snow with lower gears and clutching in/out when having to crawl the car over bumpy snow that has been mashed so hard that it's solid as rock. Those snow patches pop up like crazy if you live in a town where big rigs go through frequently. That's why I won't give up my GTI for this vehicle.
2022 Tiguan SE. Have you noticed any transmission shifting issues? I have. It appears to shift up and down/ back and forth a lot in normal mode. I feel a pulse/jerk at times when it shifts from gear 6-7-8. Just cursing at 45-48 MPH. Also, notice the rear shocks seem stiff. I don't think it rides that well for the money. I had it to the dealer and they said that's normal with the 8 speed transmission. There are springs in the torque converter that cause the shifting movement. Are there any other modes that work better? And is it ok to drive everyday in a non normal mode? Thanks

What was your order and how long was delivery i have just been told my allspace life is being built now and will take around 6 weeks for delivery will make it around 4 months but I've had no extras base model only.

Ok, ok ok - as you might assume I ran out to my 2016 Sportswagen to try out some of your tips & I discovered (in case you’re not aware) that when you hold the power window down AND the pano roof button too, all windows AND sunroof will open. Cool.

Here is the second day of Tiguan SEL R lint owner. I have a 2 questions. 1. How to change my camera from only back to surrounded camera while I'm parking. When I parked my car, like R gear, it shows only back side camera. 2. How to turn off heat? I'm doing now: Click the menu button on the heat pannel, then turned off heater. Is there any easier way?
Can you help pls. In the Tiguan 22R When I put the drive "Mode" function to "Comfort" its fine but when I switch off the engine it automatically switches back to "Sport" Mode and I have to ajust it to "Comfort mode" every time I start up. How can I make my choice defenite.
I read in the owner's manual that there is a way to open the lift gate with a wave of your foot (if you have hands full). Do you know if the new Tiguan has this feature? Can't get it to work

Can you shut all 4 windows by holding up the button for a couple seconds also? I noticed you didn't do it so not sure if that's an indication there..

Use the set button on the side of your driver seat and it will personalise all the features you did before you set it.

Not full screen nav, at best you get some basic directions. With google maps / Waze you get nothing - 2024 Tiguan r-line

That feature is only available on the Highline R-Line version.
