Fun fact about Anansi: you don't have to own the resources he's clearing. So you can use him to sabotage one of your neighbors by clearing out their luxuries, while at the same time getting science and culture for yourself.
honestly, did that to a game with some friends and man one didn't notice and was complaining about how he had no luxuries and the other friend saw me doing it and I had to pay to keep him quiet
Dunno if editor controls it, but I really like having episode numbers noted on multi-parts. If it is left out because it hurts views or smth, maybe leave it for a week or so and change it later.
I usually use context to show what phase of the game I'm at, e.g. Start location, Early war, mid game tourism explosion, winning the game in style since putting numbers in videos hurts them.
See, I use Anansi to gobble up the luxuries of city-states and civs that I have open borders with. Makes them really pay up for copies of my luxuries. Also I use Maui to put luxuries on desert and forest hills. Makes those really great tiles to improve. Especially when paired up with Petra. Also putting turtles or pearls on reefs is really great.
Professor Potato - all your vids are an absolute masterclass in Civ 6 education. This, Viking coastal raiding, Ethiopia 1 city, China Torres del Paines, Vampires, speed runs, literally everything. I watch other streamers and find myself saying wow whiskey would not have done that. Your ability to weight the risk/benefit of mult decisions is really superior in this game. I play with your style in all my single player games, and have picked up a tremendous amount of knowledge from you. Grateful. Thank you.

I love your commentary, the edits and that I always learn something. Keep it up, just wanted to say that you're a great entertainer :)
It's fun to watch you implement OP surefire strategies, but it's more interesting to see you frantically staying one step ahead of the AI. That's a skill I can use in my own games!
Potato: talks about more or less advanced stuff like losing turns on settlers and stuff also potato: doesnt switch off political philosophy when his total pop is about to hit 6
Marbozir recently started using the "Extended Policy Cards" mod, it's a game changer for understanding the impact of policy cards when you're on the policy screen. Note: I am not affiliated in any way with this mod or it's developers, it is just so valuable it's worth letting people know about it.
11:04 That tribal village was never called correctly lol. First it got called "my first tribal village" and the next turn it got turned to "barbarian village".
I think you can actually still get Granada's suzerain bonus even if Babylon conquers it because it will probably flip to you, and I seem to remember that you get the option to liberate a city-state if it was owned by another civ and then flips to you, which would make you suzerain automatically.
I actually think that going for the great library as Cathrine is a really good strategy. She’ll generate so much tourism from it via Grand Tour and the great work slots are amazing if you put Pingala in the city you build it in.
I think a cool change would be new categories of City States. For example, city states with Green icons could be Food-based, and give bonuses like "industrial zone agency yields also give food". City states with Teal icons could be Diplomatic-based, giving bonuses like "Each of your ally's votes in resolutions also give half a vote in your favour, if you are both voting for the same option". City states with Pink icons could be Loyalty-based, giving bonuses like "newly-constructed wonders give an extra +5 loyalty to your cities within 8 tiles for 10 turns".

Or collect griefances and just murder AIs resources. Not to mention he is a ranged unit to help vs combat too.
@@nolongeraperson Think about it. On average early districts cost like 8 turns (15 at worst). Lets say that is a +4 campus if you got it 20 turns early it still only adds up to 80 science. Hey Potato, I have a idea that could be interesting for one of your video. I did some research and I find a way to make OP relics. You need to play as Poland because this civ receives bonuses from relics, moreover you need to have the secret society mod (the voidsingers) and hereos and legends mod, because they allow to have relics of heroes and cultists. And finally, with 3 city states, Kandy, Babylon and Anshan you can boost even more the relics. I hope you will try this. I love your videos.
Hi Potato, have you ever consider to use Armani as first governor in the very early turns once you meet first city state, and switch her into different city state that you meet first, in order to get suzerainty of different city state and get era scores and explore map much easier? Thanks, and really love your fantastic content!
with all those first meet military city states, I would take advantage and try to focus my capital on producing all the units for my empire in these early turns.
I'm not a fan of settling specifically mining resources because of the wheel boost that is quite sparse. Almost all (with the exception of forest hill ones) plantations resources are to be settled if possible, but for me not the mining ones. Especially since you had to waste 1 turn for it to gain basically 1 culture until the moment you get your worker. It can be considered as a tradeoff between like 8 culture(the time the city takes to gain 2nd pop and some here and there misses once tiles get improved) and the cost of moving (1 turn of city production, potential miss on horses) VS wheel boost (32 if tech aren't shuffled). Will you spend 32 turns without a worker? Are you that confident there will be another way to boost the wheel? Seems quite debatable.
