Okay, picking and flipping that frame with the skidsteer is probably the safest way I've ever seen someone on UA-cam do that. Very smooth and safe on your own that way. The forks inside the rails, the strap tension inside the cab.
    Great work.

I suggest you invest in a lapel microphone as when you step slightly away form the camera the sound degrades a lot! Since you are taking the time to explain what you are doing it would be nice to be able to hear you!

I dig it! I wouldn't mind having a van truck myself. Seems like a good cab and plenty of strength in those chassis. I had a 2001 standard length e350 I drove for a couple years. Nicely done!

I’ve been designing the flatbed for my 08 Cummins. The back body is starting to rust out as they all do in New England and it’s time to do something about it. Unfortunately my bed is only a 6’ shortbed. I need to have fuel storage in it so I can fuel up when I go to the “mainland” (I live on a island) so my plan is to build the bed as a fuel tank itself. So the 4” channel will be sealed too and bottom with plate. I should get around a 100 gal tank if my calc’s are right. That way I’ll still have all the bed space usable. And if I really wanna juice up I can toss my 100gal portable tank on there too!

Yes, I do like his channel, and I'm a subscriber to him. I actually found him when I was researching how to move an axle on my dump truck, as there wasn't a single shop within 50 miles of me that would touch the job. I used his electrical conduit and a pencil idea to mark my holes, and was the reason I bought the mag drill to begin with. I have annular cutters, just not that big. I think I have from 7/16 to 1 1/16, and a 1 7/8. They work amazing. But they're expensive (relatively) and are not available locally to me. I have to order online. Thanks for the compliments.

It weighs about 1000 lbs completed. I Imagine similar bodies on these chassis weight is comparable, for example a penske box truck. Also, this was an ambulance with a 6k lb body on it. For it's intended purpose, it is not going to be too heavy for a 14,500 GVW chassis. I'll weigh the total rig after i take the sander off it to get an accurate weight.

@@peteryeung111 my first welder was a Hobart 140 Handler which was 110 Volt Welder. it is incredible what you can get done with even a small 110 welder. And I would recommend anybody who wants to buy a welder to teach themselves how to weld to go ahead and buy a 110 volt to start. when I went to purchase my next welder I decided to keep in the Hobart family because I was very satisfied with the 140. I also did not see the need to spend the big money on the more well-known brands that just had more complicated circuitry and computers. this welder was inexpensive I can add a spool gun to it and it does all the things I needed to do. my next one will be an industrial size welder that has a better duty cycle and can handle heavier wire
