Database: MCAO’s more secretive ‘Brady’ list

  • “Brady” lists are names of law enforcement officials with histories of dishonesty, criminal acts, or other integrity issues. The lists get their name from the landmark United State Supreme Court case Brady v. Maryland, which found that police and prosecutors cannot withhold exculpatory evidence. The “Tier 2” list is internally kept by MCAO and not included in the public statewide database published by prosecutors after ABC15’s “Full Disclosure” investigation in 2020.

      Rachel Mitchell was already involved with prosecution of Nubia Rodriguez for the death of officer Paul Rutherford. There was known video evidence showing his movement in front of her vehicle was questionably safe and the accident was unavoidable.
      Mitchell believes her job is to protect govt. personnel and F everyone else, without transparency.

    • @bufordhighwater9872
      @bufordhighwater9872 Рік тому +6

      It's scientifically proven that polygraphs are not able to accurately determine whether or not anyone is lying. It's also well documented that "narcissist" and "ego maniac" are synonyms, neither of which "thrive" in or on passing a polygraph, though they might thrive "at" passing one.
      The more troubling point I'd like to make is the implied illogic nature in how you structured what you wrote. Your premise is "the hardest part of becoming a cop is passing the polygraph". Your supporting sentence then basically says "it's a fact that this bad person almost always can pass a polygraph". Those two things have nothing to do with each other, unless you're implying that all cops are narcissists, in which case the polygraph wasn't an issue for them or unless you're trying to imply that the polygraph is why we have so many bad cops and so few good cops. Neither of which is true.
      Your comment is an example of someone stating two plausible, oversimplified generalizations not only as if they were facts, but that they were relevant to each other in order to seem intelligent...which is a type of behavior seen in narcissists.

    We dont need a State controlled list on who or who should not be put on the list. This lists can be manipulated by the local law enforcements to be in their favor with Police Unions intervening of the officers behalf. There should be a National list of officers or ex officers who have been investigated and charged with ANY type of misconduct, criminally charged and/or indicted. There should not be any half way with this ANY AND ALL officers should be placed on it that have been investigated for any type of misconduct. And I also believe that no police agency should investigate themself when any type of misconduct, or criminal charges against and employee of the police departments are investigated, an outside investigation agency should be formed to investigate these types of policy violations of misconduct.

Tier1, Tier2, and how about Tier007 the most super-secret list. Everyone who had a hand in creating or maintaining that "cheat sheet" should be fired and if possible, charged. To stand there and state before the cameras that nothing was being hidden is a complete lie. Did the State create the law which allowed that multiple tier Brady list or just that department?
