This was my homies car! It’s a super stock It was stolen a few months ago out of his parking garage in studio city CA. They switched the plates out on the car and then a month later got into this pursuit. My friend got paid out by insurance and had the option to buy it back but he passed.
I would’ve bought it back, that would of been a crazy story with footage years down the road and probably could of made double if he sold the car if he preserved it lol.
He told me It was pretty bad when he went to go look at it. It was missing for over a month, you know they weren’t treating that car right when they had it 😂
@FoolVille well you gotta know what your doing be easy on it and drift them corners. Now adays these cop chargers are fast use to be alot easier to run
I’ve watched a few of these chases in LA. Law enforcement don’t chase persons fleeing in cars in order to avoid accidents and people getting hurt or killed. Especially for lesser crimes. Suspected murder is different.
I live near LA but I thought it was common knowledge, cops stop chasing with ground units to ease some of the driver's adrenaline or whatever. Less excitement, less chances of reckless driving and an accident (or so they hoped). At this point I think they just see any mopar and don't even bother with ground units because they always get outran. They're human like us, not idiots
Going dark doesn’t mean anything in LA…they have thermo imagery. There was one chase and the guy evaded the cops and the helicopter came in and Did a thermal imaging.. the car that evaded illuminated a lot of heat from the brakes than any other car… the helicopter notified them of that and boom it was the car they were after…
Yeah Knockout. They banded Pursuing high-speed chases in Los Angeles at lest 10 years ago. because there were too many fatalities as a result of. One of my friend's family members passed away because of a police chasing someone in Los Angeles.
The new meta for criminals in LA is just having a car that can top line over 140 mph. The helicopters max out at 135 so if they can hop on the freeway to San Bernardino they will typically lose the helicopter by the time they hit the city
"I think that the reason they used a helicopter to follow This particular car is because it's too fast for ground vehicles to keep up. However, using a helicopter means they might not be able to track where the car ends up or what the driver looks like if they go into a garage and switch to another car."
There is a police chase in LA county pretty much every single day. The police department was getting sued routinely due to police chases because of all the accidents to innocent bystanders and drivers. They still follow behind a good distance away but not with lights and sirens. Most of the times these pursuits end because the driver ends up in a dead end bc he doesn't know where he's going. Or they think they got away and get out the car and run and try and hide not knowing the helicopters been following him the entire time. There is a chopper in the sky in LA 24/7. RARELY do they escape the helicopter.

It was not just the ABC news helicopter, the police helicopter was on him the whole time as well, you can see it pass by the screen a few times in this video. Just because there's no ground units doesn't mean they aren't tracking him. They are, and with infrared cameras too so turning off the light wont help at all. That's how the caught him quickly after he switched vehicles.
In LA down town area the don’t normally peruse. It’s too dangerous for the public. It has to be something more serious than a stolen vehicle. I think the statistics are about 20% get away. You can fact check me on that. Even the CHP rely on their choppers to follow fleeing vehicles.
If I recall SRT engineers said at the inception of the hellcat cars that the gas tank can be drained in 30min wide open throttle. The robbers didn’t have a chance and I bet you they had almost no gas left in that car which is win for dealership or owner.
Also it’s not just the abc news helicopter. There are multiple police helicopters we just can’t see them at all time. But we saw them flying lower than the news helicopter earlier.
Yeah, high speed pursuits are deemed to dangerous in L.A., so only airships follow the suspect, either helicopter or planes. Before long it will be drones following suspect.
LA had had such a problem with people running from police that the damages caused in chases is deemed not worth the pursuit. The majority of LA county chases are now done with helicopters just to track the person to their residence without killing civilians
If that guy could've actually been in downtown Los Angeles where there are tall buildings he could've had a good chance to get away because the only time they can see you is when they're above you. There are lots of parking garages and if there are only helicopters above you that gives you a good chance to go up a few floors to park and then to get out and blend in with everyone.
9:40-9:43 Now that's a city you want to live in, not your typical Arkansas, Missouri, Florida Virginia backwoods Ghost roads. Sure those roads are easy for high speed chases, but are you gonna do after the chase? Back to the swamp gator woods? Maybe stop at the gas station for a pack of cigarettes?
first car was a hellcat superstock u can tell by the demon rims and tires towards the beginng of the video and how do uk the chrysler 300 had a 5.7L v8 there is no way u could tell
Downtown L.A., absolutely no chance . Way to much traffic n on that 110 interstate also...Last year I seen a white hellcat challenger ditching 4 California State troopers on 605south in L.A.county. Around 0315am while driving 2 work, I dnt think they caught him , he was movin real fast🎯💯
Side note when you said turn off your DRLs, on the challengers the orange rings are the DRLs the led rings never turn off, chargers I think are different
He couldn't have gotten away he might have lost the news helicopter but the police helicopter was locked on him so there is no loosing it. And he meet a friend under the 110 and switched cars thinking he would get away in a legal car but h was seen switching cars so that's how they knew he was in that car. His buddy was the driver he was in passenger seat. He wasn't driving the 300. He abandoned the charger
Are you sure it's hellcat? He not moving like other Hellcat Chase's. I think it's Cap. Los Angeles police is the most corrupt cop I ever seen! I think it's Clout Chasing. I seen Crown Victoria police cars that will be right behind that car. I use to be down town L.A.! Crown Victoria. Not the S.U.V.'s!
La they’ll track from helicopters for civilian’s safety In downtown or under freeway overpasses is how most get away he would’ve been better off going in a parking garage and ditching car 😂 they didn’t think it through

@@Johnnyr1996 Ahhhhhhhhh man, yeah that makes a lot of sense, sorry to hear.
We all know a stolen hellcat or scatpack will get mistreated especially if its stolen and I understand why he wouldn't want it that sucks.
People need to work for they own shit and stop stealing you dont get respect for being a thief that’s the bottom of the fucking barrel.
Homie thought he was in gta lobby 😂
I mean it was in LA and I know exactly where this location is in Los Santos for the beginning of this chase so it might as well be a GTA lobby.
@@hypticalgamer8046 I guess he forgot to call Lester sense he couldn’t handle the heat lmao
You really need a dark switch to kill all lights including brake lights.
Should come standard form the factory at this point.
You can do it on some cars and use the e brake to brake without the tail lights lighting up
@@niagarafallsnewyork3659yeah if you want to slide out and flip 4 times

Makes sence
Bro supposed to hit the parking garage
He could have just got out and walked away.
Exactly.
Samething I was thinking
Come on pookie we've got to stop this nonsense. 😂😂😂
Wasn’t Pookie, it was Hector!😎
Yeah, I saw it to that dude just crazy and wild, He was so lucky that cars almost crash into them
Can't lie I was rooting for home boy
L
L
You were rooting for a thief and a degenerate?
W
Challengers can’t completely cut theirs off like the chargers, it only cuts off the orange lights
Big redeye is top dog now that people find out the demon 149 ain’t all that special lol
I’m dead demon 149 🤣
😂😂
Nah the the 2018 demon the top dogg!!
He had so many chances to bail out on foot 😂

The new meta for criminals in LA is just having a car that can top line over 140 mph. The helicopters max out at 135 so if they can hop on the freeway to San Bernardino they will typically lose the helicopter by the time they hit the city
Yeah I saw this it wasn't a 5.7 it was a V6
How did the cops know he jumped in the 300c? That switch up doesn't make sense. He must be loyal to the brand.
Someone probably called in a car jacking under the same bridge at the same time
This shit ended like 5 minutes away from the crib 😂😂
Whoa!
Even with the headlights off and drl lights off the helicopter can pick up heat from your tires

More departments need to adopt this method instead of doing car pursuits, accidental collisions can be avoided
They did have ground units they were just tracking so he wouldn't drive even crazier...
LA traffic is horrendous, I can't imagine living there and going through that everyday

LA on a Friday evening yeah it's packed
Earlier in the video, you’ll see the HP helicopter

In LA where there are plenty of helicopters. downtown is where a lot of folks lose the birds. Towers n underground parking mk great cover
Man I saw this they picked the brightest damn car to steal
Having drl on just burns out bulbs faster. That 300 is more likely just a v6
The best with a charger, hell cat ,or scar pack,if u have power, take it to the freeway
How big is downtown L.A
Old video my brother. The cops were already ahead of this guy. Stop making it seem like he should have gotten away.
This is old footage, seems alot of youtubers running out of content
I was on a high speed chase with my 2020 Chevy 5.3 and I lost them but I had no gas and I just put it in my garage 🤣🤦🏽♂️
He got a few birds on em
In order to lose the helicopter, you need those sky scrapers to help you lose site of the helicopter
That sticks not even the pd just the local news station piloting on the power cars I think idk what really going on
Theres a zillion underground parking lots.. 🤔

That's a shame people have to steal other people cars they work hard for.
That's 10 miles from downtown my g lol thats south central and compton we have those types chases every day in LA lol
Well, at least the reporter got it in the same brand, if not the same model.
Best thing to do during these high speed chases is to LEAVE THE STATE! Can’t stress it enough, leave the state you’re in.
Just like I said the other day. I love these cars, but I will not buy a car the cops and the robbers want to pull me out of. 😮😮

How this cars getting stolen so easy with state of art security system
This is more of a Porsche or BMW type of run. They would’ve lost the copter in one of those because it can take the turns at much high speeds
It had the redeye hood so it’s either a jailbreak, redeye, or a redeye jailbreak.
Jesus Chrylers/dodges were bread for criminals. I swear to god
If they can’t i.d him as the driver of that Challenger? Then he definitely got away 😅
But they had some units under the bridge
He should have gone toward the airport the helo would have had to go back. Restricted air space. ;
The news chopper has to not law enforcement
Old man here needs some clarification. What does "take the L" mean? Thanks
Side note when you said turn off your DRLs, on the challengers the orange rings are the DRLs the led rings never turn off, chargers I think are different
That was definitely not a scat pack
I got a scat pack out here bro I don’t think you can really run it’s a 50/50 gotta get out before the bird

should of went into tunnel or parking garage and switched cars fast or tryd it on foot,,
