Just changed mine on a 2003 Touring. I used a 10 mil combo wrench and got mine off with ease. As far as the removing the sensor from the harness once you slide the clip you then have to continuously press down while pulling the sensor free from the harness. No prying needed at all. Don’t forget to reset computer and clear codes. My Z starts with no issues and doesn’t turn off at random anymore. 👍

My 04 started running this code recently. I’ve been reading tons of forums and p0340 stuff, I’m going to try this method clear my code replace and start. This seems like the cheaper easier fix. The forums for this code gets pretty deep and pricey if that doesn’t fix it. My car starts just after 1st start it’s rough and sometimes will die in idle!? You think this will fix my problem!? Maybe its an oxygen or lambda sensor as the power may be lacking as the right fuel mixture isn't achieved so its lagging and may give power sometimes and lack other times.

I would scan the code again and see if it’s the same code. If it’s the same code as last time then you got a bad part. If it’s a different code it’s more than likely the camshaft position sensor on the other side!

The ease of the job depends on the car you’re working on. If it’s for a 350Z like in the video then it will be as easy as it looks. However if it is for another car then I can’t say how easy or hard it will be. But if you do it yourself the cost will only be the price of the sensor. Which was around $120 for both sensors for me. If you’re getting a code for an O2 sensor then this video isn’t for that!

Honestly the driver side isn’t to bad, the throttle body kind of gets in the way but it’s nothing to difficult. If needed you can always take off the throttle body and intake! Should make it waaay easier. And thank you for subscribing I appreciate it!

I changed the passenger side camshaft sensor bank 1 and still have the same issue. What could be the problem

It could be the other sensor (the green one right next to it)
