Whether Gloria Satterfield's family trusted Alex Murdaugh ("AM") told the truth or not, they now know that they are entitled to NOTHING for Gloria Satterfield's death from coronary artery disease resulting from long-standing diabetes, which death COINCIDENTALLY happened 24 days after a fall UNRELATED to anything AM or any member of his family said or did. Yet Gloria Satterfield's heirs and their lawyers STILL want AM and Cory Fleming ("CF") and Russell Laffitte ("RL") imprisoned for life, not because AM, CF, and/or RL, cheated the insurance company, but because the loot was NOT initially shared with the Satterfield estate.
Frankly, given their stance now, I think the Satterfield estate was in on the scam from the start and are now playing dumb about it.
That Tony man got $7 million or $10 million "from another source" yet always wear that same plaid shirt to court to give a FALSE impression that he has no money for a suit and, at age 36, lets himself be called "boy" when he is a grown, fully-employed man and was so at the time of his mother's death.

@@bettycattk5298, with certain condolences to the Beaches, who lost their daughter, their and THEIR LAWYER'S behavior BEFORE and AFTER the $15.5 million settlement suggests ALL they care for is MONEY.
First, they COMPLETELY IGNORE their and their deceased daughter's PARTIAL responsibility for the crash. The more they reveal about their knowledge of Paul's alleged excessive underage drinking, the more the question presses itself: WHY did they allow their daughter (or why did SHE choose) to go on such a dangerous ride. It's not as if she had been kidnapped.
Second, other families who suffered comparable tragedies focused on improving safety laws; for examples, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Ameber Alerts, gun safety movements, etc. All the Beaches did is announce they will donate a TINY part of the settlement to some animal shelter because Mallory liked dogs.
Third, they CONSPIRED to pin the murders of Paul and Maggie Murder on Alex Murdaugh because, by Mark Tinsley's own testimony, the boat crash case would have gone away if sympathy for Alex were allowed to develop.
Fouth, they are STILL trying to collect from Gregg Parker, in a separate lawsuit, for his demonization, NOT OF MALLORY BEACH, but of Paul Murdaugh.
What sense does that make according to you?

@@timothyfreeseha4056 exactly. his defence didn't ask much about his alleged drugging. that would be one helluva can of worms, too much work for the. boulware was not his only drug & pill connection. good old cousin eddie is in the mixx somehow. he needed tons of money to buy quantity, then send it out for distribution. that's why he was one of several who were buying those little ragged islands. how convenient. he claimed to be a pill addict, but nobody investigated or asked who he got them from. if the drug cartel killed maggie & paul, maybe he couldn't keep his end going, and they caught him trying to cheat them out of money. probably kept running out of money, that's the pressure. he probably missed a payment deadline, so he had to lose somebody he loved. he loved paul, but old handsome said that paul had to go. remember, he lured both of them to Moselle. and he told her sister that their deaths had been planned a long time. Tangled web he weaved indeed. it's all so SNAFU.
