    I have a 66" bed but have a 75" milliard tri-fold mattress. I put a folddown extention with fold down legs to end on bed frame.. Couple this with a DAC truck tent and lots of room.

    ive looked at a lot of these designs, some intracite and some simple. This is the best laid out Value minded set up ive seen Very well done, easy to build and you have put together the video in a simple follow along manner. The mattress cover is a nice touch too. The only thing you really didnt cover was securing the completed project into the truck bed. Other than that, looks like a great easy set up that is functional and easy.

    • @gagodfrey
      @gagodfrey 5 місяців тому

      I don't secure it in the truck bed. Gravity & the friction of the bed rug does that for me. I drove from GA to ND and hunted for 7 days with the bed in place and it never shifted or fell over. It worked perfectly! So that's another advantage...no fussing around with attaching it to the truck bed.

      It could be that I messed up the slide measurement. I can't remember specifically since it's been a couple years since I built it. But yes...the slide needs to be slightly less wide than the top to account for the legs.

    I’m interested in doing this build for my truck. I would assume by now you’ve really gotten to put this thing to the test so my question is, have you had any issues with it wanting to rock? The way the 2x4 was mounted on top of the supports I was curious if you had any issues with this. Do you think I would find any more stability with attaching the runner 2x4 to the side of those supports instead of on top? This would obviously decrease the clearance in order to access totes underneath but my support legs will be roughly 12-13” tall so I don’t want it to rock. Any insight would help! Thanks!

    • @G2Outdoors
      @G2Outdoors  3 роки тому +2
