- Understanding how Warfare and Offensive mode work in Hell Let Loose is critical to being an effective player. These are unique game modes that don't exist in any other game, and unfortunately, they can be rather confusing. But don't worry soldier! Watching this video will clear it all up for you!

THIS needs to be required viewing for new players....and honestly, some vets who like standing around the lost point in OFF to cherry pick some kills..
Feel free to share it so more people see it! Or just give it a thumbs up. :)
Here from the discord pinned as brand new only 0.3 hours. Fast tutorial, watched 2x haha

@@SoulSniperYT- On Warfare, does an enemy chevron indicate that someone is in the strong point or just within the 4 grid square?
Literally should be a tutorial video in game prior to playing.
Hell let loose is just simply the best WW2 multiplayer ever made.
It's my fav!
I loved COD WAW multiplayer but they are very different games
Hands down
R02/RS1 tho
its good but the other two really good ones have different but better experiences in another way
I much prefer Offensive, I find the teams tend to be more coordinated because of it's simplicity
There is definitely a simplicity that brings the teams together a bit more. Though it can be really frustrating when blueberries don't understand they can't retake a lost sector lol
@@SoulSniperYT bruh, dont get me started...
Exactly! Blueberries can’t focus on two things at once and Warfare always ends up with your team or the enemy team just not defending and getting steamrolled
I still remember the first time I played HLL was on a free weekend with some friends to try it out. We made our own squad and decided to sit in a controlled zone to defend it and fuck around while no one was really attacking and my friend who was SL starting talking with the commander and he dubbed us "blue berry squad" instead of baker. We essentially had an entire squad of just new players learning and messing around with how building works as opposed to actually playing the game lol. Some of the most fun I had with the game tho for sure since it was all so new
They should just imbed this video into the game, have a help guide button on the main menu that tells players about the things they need to know. Match guides, class guides, etc...
If the devs were willing, I'd be happy to make official video guides for the game.
@@SoulSniperYTimagine how epic battles would be if everybody watched your videos
@@SoulSniperYTreally though. Agree with OP, yours are the best I've come across so far.
I just got this game like 3 days ago, I have been watching these videos since, thank you so much. Without these I was like a lost sheep on the field 😂😅
Great informative vid. Only little nitpick is at 3:57 the timer will be reset to 30, not 30 added. All in all Off is my fave gamemode.
That's fair. 30 minutes timer is reset, not 30 min added on the any remaining time. I'll pin this comment. Thanks!
@@SoulSniperYT please do ping it, I was kind of confused
Wow everyday is a school day, currently level 90 and it was today I learnt, that you have to be in the strong point to capture in OFF mode rather than the 4 squares surrounding it like in warfare, which I thought!!!! Thanks alot mate 👍
I'm so glad you took something away from the video! And don't feel bad, the reason I thought this was a good video topic is because these things aren't really all that obvious. Warfare is the more popular game mode, and you hear people point out to others that you don't need to be inside the circle to cap...so it's easy to assume that's also the case in Offensive mode.
Having played the game for a bit now, I found this video extremely helpful. Short concise and to the point. The main differences explained and in a way that even a relatively new player can understand. Thank you +1 sub
Glad you enjoyed it!
soul sniper the videos you post are absolutely worth a lot to me, at the moment I get most of my knowledge from you if I didn't know, as far as the classes are concerned I don't really have a favorite class at the moment, I think every class is great to work with. This also depends a bit on my fellow players on the team. Sometimes I jump a lot between the different classes to get my work done.
Thanks bro I was looking everywhere to find out how to capture a strong point and defend it and u the only video I found that broke it down 0:58 appreciate it
Thanks!! You explained this so well. Opened my eyes to a lot!
Awesome, glad to hear it! You're welcome to join my discord if you want. We're a new community but growing fast and very active. We've got our own HLL server too if you're on PC. Discord.gg/soulsniper
I love offensive. Sometimes it turns into a locked down grinder. It’s brutal. Well coordinated arty and mg’s can almost indefinitely stall an attack.
Me and my squad are usually the poor bastards who voluntarily stays back to defend sectors. As result we usually have the highest defense score in the whole game but we also get wiped out fast when the flanking enemy team begins woefully outnumbering us while the rest of our team keeps bodywaving the capture point ahead without results.
Good on you! Would love to have you and your squad play on my server and hang in my discord! https:dsc.gg/soulsniper
Good work or the vids mate, everyone should watch these. Sharing with the lads I play with. Thanks
I'm glad you are enjoying them and thanks for the support! Feel free to come hang out on Discord: discord.gg/crX6X9YnJA
Really good gameplay, I like your style of playing.
This game still amazes me even been playing it for a long time.
Keep that aim on the dot friend, see you again on your next video.
Are you A bot...?
Thanks!
These vids are the most on point hll tips vids goung. Keep it up man
Thank you man! I appreciate that!
Man this content is top tier. Thank you!
Great video, gotta show your channel to some of my new buddies
For sure man, spread it around. The more people who see this stuff the better!
You need to come hang on discord too!
I’m subscribed the moment I found this you are a savior thanks man
Glad to help!
I watched this a few times learned alot great tips did not know that have to be in circle to take obj in offensive
Glad it helped you! Thank you!
Now that helped explain a lot. Thanks for the vid. Now I have to figure out a way to stop endlessly running for the circle for 5 minutes, only to die in 30 seconds.
Love your vids bro, subbed
Thanks for the sub!
Very nice man!!! Learned a little lol
Thanks bud glad to hear it!
Great video mate.. explained a lot. Thanks.
Glad to hear it and thanks for watching!
Great video, there's one thing I've never been sure of and its the multiple 'brackets' and each side of the strong point message. 03:10 for example of what I mean.
I assume it shows roughly the strength of each side attacking and defending the strong point but does the multitude of additional brackets have soldier numbers tied to them? (Example - does the first bracket mean there is 1 enemy soldier, then the second bracket means there is more).
Very good explained, thank you!
Thanks, glad to hear it!
Thank you!
screaming kids in the background, love it! Fantastic content bro
Should probably mention the differences on where supplies and nodes can be built in each gamemode, in offensive mode the attacking team can drop off supplies and build nodes at their HQ. Its probably worth mentioning also that you lose all garrisons and OP's in a territory thats taken out, I know thats not specific to the game types but I see so many people not realizing this when playing it needs to be drummed into people.

👀
ive got 150 hours ish and I only knew half this stuff if that, i like these videos but I feel stupid everytime I watch them
LOL you can always learn something! Doesn't mean you're stupid. In fact, it's not uncommon for people with hundreds of hours to not know some of these aspects of the game, which is why I make these videos!
@@SoulSniperYT preach.
This video should play before the map loads
Tell the devs at Black Matter! 😁
Had the game downloaded for 20min but I’ve been watching ur vids 😂
It's good to watch some videos for beginners because there's no tutorial and not many things are obvious as far as how the game mechanics work. Good on you!
Great Content :0)
Thanks, fellow gaming dad!
Thanks matey
Another good video
Thanks man I appreciate it! Feel free to come hang out on Discord if you want there's a link in the video description.
Thanks
this elevated my moisture levels
Erm...thank you?
Good video.
Thanks!
I don't know how many times points are lost because people go hunting for enemies outside the circle only to have the enemy take the circle and then when the people who are now half a square away notice they have to try to remove the enemy from the circle after the enemy has dug in.
The lack of defense in general is frustrating and warfare mode. Although I do believe that an active defense that scouts the cap zone and looks for enemy outposts in garrisons is most effective versus just sitting directly in the strong point waiting to be hit with a bombing run fighting off wave after wave of incoming enemies.
@@SoulSniperYT I totally agree that looking for outposts is a good idea...until the whole team does it. Or the squads that start off trying to do that and then end up 3 squares away and never come back.
Ya I hear ya
can we get a commander guide. these are super helpful as a new player.
I'm going to cover rifleman and assault, then cap it all off with commander.
New players shouldn't play commander at all. This role requires you to have a knowledge about map layouts, where is what, what is needed, etc.
These are things new players don't have, it will be just a burden for the entire team.
Been running around wondering where to go lol, I just been where people are clustered up and flank
Honestly that's not a bad strategy. If you can flank the enemy there's a decent chance you'll find a Garrison and if you destroy a Garrison, that helps your team big time.
It would have been reeeeaaallly good to include info about the way building stuff works for both modes.
I'm having trouble understanding where can i build nodes in the different modes, when do builidings/garrisons/OPs get auto destroyed, where can you build them... and stuff like that...
Covered in my other vids!
A video with Skirmish, offensive, and warfare?
I wish I could play on your team man! I’m on Xbox tho but it would be really cool if I could get into a match with people who actually would help me. I see more of the killed in action screen then I do of the match.
Good video 😎 Any inside info on the console update? 😂 I'm joking.....nobody knows!!
Last I heard is that consoles will get eastern front by june and the rest of the content by the year's end.
@@SoulSniperYT I hope so, thank you for replying 😎
He’ll Let Loose should put in somewhere a link to your videos for new players since their is no formal training for the game
Tell Team 17! :)
The number of times I’ve had to tell squad leads to stop trying to recap a point 🙄
Yea that's why I felt I should make this video. A lot of players just enjoy how cinematic and brutal (low TTK) the game is, and even after many hours in the game never really bother to learn the mechanics and meta.
On console do the default garrisons also get blown up by satchels?
Yes they can but it’s difficult you will need a lot of covering fire and smoke 👍🏻
This should be games INTRO.
Tell the devs ;)
Attacking team should have artillery, doesn't really make sense for an ATTACKING force to not have arty supprt, maybe after they capture the first 2 points then their cannons can spawn?
I agree.
I greatly prefer offensive. Maybe it's different on PC, but on console warfare usually is either one side absolutely steamrolling the other or a Benny Hill-esque exercise in foolishness as both teams running past each other, capping and back capping, with surprisingly little combat. Warfare also seems to attract more of the people looking to go lone wolf who run off to maximize their K/D rather than play the objectives, but like I said, that's just been my experience on console.
Maybe it’s cause I play so many video games, but all this information is easy to infer just from playing
Some of it yes I would agree but clearly that's not entirely true as a large chunk of the player base completely lacks a lot of this knowledge. Admittedly it did take me a little bit to figure out some of the game mechanics because outside of watching UA-cam videos, some of them aren't really obvious. Like not having to be inside the strong point to capture a sector. I can totally understand why people think you need to be inside the black circle...
Yeah sorry, wasn’t meant to be a slight against the video. It’s good
I didn't take it that way at all. Thanks man!
I can’t tell how many times playing offensive most of my team is at the last objective we just lost , still fighting
Yea, it can be very frustrating.
THANK YOU, but can someone please explain this to me? People keep saying, "as long as you're within the four squares surrounding the circle," BUT THERE ARE 8 SQUARES ADJACENT TO THE BLACK CIRCLE, WHICH FOUR?! PLEASE HELP 😭
The four squares that immediately surround the black circle. Check out the photo: steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1761440307784952077/824DFBD6173E54EBDED36EEDB399F60A7846F6A4/
In this example, in order to capture West Bend, you would need to be inside C5, C6, D5, or D6.
I just wanna know how to get that rolled up sleeve uniform and googles on the stalhelm 😢 jk jk this video is super helpful tbh I appreciate it.
I think it was a summer DLC maybe? Can't recall at the moment.
I literally was running around like chicken with its head chopped off before this
Glad it was helpful!
Capturing and defending sectors seems convoluted.
It's more or less a numbers game. Have more bodies on the point than the other team. Some nuances with being inside or outside the circle, but yea..
So warfare is like Frontlines from battlefield but different. I'm a very new player so I don't know all the words or phrases of the game
Kinda I suppose
@@SoulSniperYT then offensive is like breakthrough from battlefield too I'm guessing
Still to this day no one plays defense on console
Dude preaching to the choir. Nothing worse than playing defense on Offensive and half your team is 2 points ahead that we lost a half hour before
It's the least forgivable mistake people make all the time IMO. At least with warfare I kind of get how people think "sweet, we captured the sector, on to the next one!" But with offensive I feel like the map makes it pretty clear with the lock icons that you can't cap those.objecrives anymore...
SoulSniper has a kid lol i hear em
Plural my dude.
Why
What
This seems like one of the common mistakes I see playing. People not being aware of the game mode. It feels like it's just as often to do with no one checking between rounds. There's a lot of information on the menu/map and it's easy to miss.. it's also easy to check though.
I also feel the user interface/hud doesn't convey the objectives as well as it could
New player sees red and blue bars and doesn't know what they mean.
@@SoulSniperYT 100% accurate, yes. The only real "obvious" indicator is the 🔒 (or lack of 🔒) above adjacent objectives.
Which still isn't clear enough apparently cuz people try to take locked sectors! Hey by the way, I enjoyed your dev brief recap vid. Keep it up dude!
@@SoulSniperYT Much appreciated sir. Right back at ya as well. We'll link up soon!!
oh how i wish this game wasn't 40 dollars
It's on sale right now! Go buy it!
Prefer to defend as a rifle man sit in a bush and pick them off no one ever defends
I love abit of defending!!
Props for the vid but bro what do you mean a UA-camr needs to make a video explaining the game modes 💀
Put a tutorial in your game challenge, difficulty level impossible
They just put them in Xbox
Been playing them but didn’t get to choose
