@Rusty Climber same here. Growing up in the 90s I went to many offshore boat races with my Dad and willnever forget watching Apaches jump through 8-ft waves at a hundred miles an hour.
Thank you for the video . What I love the most about OCM is the shots that show all those battle wagons stacked up entering the inlet . It reminds me of when I was a kid and we'd go up to this parking area by Logan field in Boston and watch all the planes coming in for a landing . You could see them as far as you could see all stacked up in the distance . SIGH
Man do those battle wagons churn up the water. Was in a similar situation when all the dealers were leaving the in water boat show in Newport RI and I was following all the battle wagons out in a new BW 32 Outrage with first year introduction of the Merc Verados. We also has a tropical depression come over us the evening before so that day was rough as hell with huge swells on my way back to Boston Harbor MA. First time I put on a life vest because of really bad seas. It was fun but nerve racking. Love that Apache!
I've watched TONS of these videos from many different channels, and this is the FIRST time I ever saw fishing rods on a Midnight Express haha. Heading to OCMD in a couple of weeks.
TOTALLY LOVE THAT, I used to have a Yamaha jet ski on Lake Mead in Las Vegas. I would be out there all day especially if it was windy! Watching this brings back so many awesome memories.
Gradys seem to like this mess. Haulover is flat calm 95% of the time. I've been to Indian River and was there this trip, and it was like glass, the new vids will come out eventually :) here is one from last year... ua-cam.com/video/WHHhZO9gSLk/v-deo.html

Sweet! That was Sunday right? That was the only day we had any action, Marlin in the spread 4 times, but nothing to show for it. Did you get our return on Saturday? Pretty sure it was even rougher that day! I remember being pretty sideways at one point.
This was a compilation of the best small boat action, Thursday thru Sunday. I really liked the action on the weekend, heavy tournament traffic coupled with weekenders, an entreating combo!
Hey guys I have a question that maybe some of you can answer? I am an inland water guy I run a Donzi with a single BBC I/O it run great and the top speed is great and it works for what I want! With that said I see all these boats with 3 or 4 of 5 outboards on the transom I know these engine are at least 600 pounds EACH, I understand redundancy and backup but WHY have so many engines to take care of, sounds like a total pain in the ass to me! There must be a reason for people choosing to run this configuration, could someone tell me what the reasoning is please? Thanks
power. you can only put so much HP in 1 prop and the more you put the bigger and more blades you need to make it useful. as some on said this Tournaments fishing grounds are 80nm out to sea. so your looking at 160nm round trip gota go fast. but if you break the power up in smaller motors you can use smaller props on a smaller boat with lest draft.
@@Elios0000 Thanks very much for your explanation on this question Elios0000 I have been asking this same question for a long time and have never gotten any kind of answer at all. Your explanation certainly does make sense! Thanks!
@@karlk6860 Plus the biggest engine they have in an outboard is 450 HP, So to get these big boats moving they need a lot more than 450HP! Also outboards are a lot less maintenance than having an I/O! I would personally never trade my I/O for an outboard!
@@NeverEnoughPyro40 thanks for sharing you thoughts on this subject I am such a big fan of the sound of my V8 it would take a lot for me to part with it. Thanks again.
Haulover is completely overrated and hype as far as "dangerous" or "big waves", what it has is fancy yachts and powerboats in large numbers. (which is what I love about it) If OCMD had the big luxury yachts and powerboats it would be game over...
@@ZipZapPower its also nicer in FL all year OC it get to cold 1/3 of year for there to be much traffic but OC inlet also gets the big commercial fishing boats so yeah at lest for few times in the summer its OC wins for sure. and OC inlet can get nasty this looked like pretty nice day you get big moving tide and winds and makes even worst days a Haulover look tame
I love seeing any Apache hull on the water, Apaches are legendary!!!
@Rusty Climber same here. Growing up in the 90s I went to many offshore boat races with my Dad and willnever forget watching Apaches jump through 8-ft waves at a hundred miles an hour.
My neighbor used to own that boat at loto. It's an awesome boat handles waves amazing and will keep up with anything on a rough day

Something about watching boats cutting through the water. Love it. Now I just need to get one.
I got one for sale ;-)

Robert G. Buzzards bay can be real “fun” in a storm. Very short time in between the chop. Not so bad once you get the CC canal

So many beautiful center consoles in this video!!!
If I were rich mine would have train horns.
YES!!! Finally some Performance Boat action!!😎👍🇺🇲
Huge center console with train horns? Who said money cant by everything?
ha.
I actually just jumped out of my chair when it went off. 🤣
they like to honk, it's super loud and startling in person!

Let’s go !!!!!
So cool watching 40’ boats running full tilt
Ironically, I live in Boca Raton but aM originally from MD.
Pretty cool to feature the OCMD inlet. 👍🏼
Giddyup!!! Glorious that Apache... Nice video as always 👍🏻
That inlet was made by a hurricane, but it sure has made a lot of people happy....
28 Apache baby!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Pops used to race one.
The dark blue and whit boast real nice.
Nice one! Terrific cover shot, btw. These boats can really cut through the rough stuff.
Thanks! so many good options for cover shot in this one, but this was winner hands down.
0:32. That Apache airtime though!
I always go out through that inlet with my family!
That Apache rips !!
Went in and out of that inlet so many times growing up
Love the drone shot at the end, beautiful.
5:49 grady white - thats me!! For reals. Makes your haulover inlet look like a calm stream. Check out indian river inlet 30 miles north.

Can't remember ever having seen fishing rods on a Midnight Express before...
it is rare, Game Changer does it all, fishing tournaments, poker runs, all night parties.. I've filmed them all over the place.
Great boats go through there!
Love my Gamefish 30 looked nice out there
Always a solid choice, the Gamefish 30, never see them in over their head or being risky
@8:08 Dude got mixed up. Thought he was at Haulover.
Nice pics Ked. I feel like I was there (oh wait I was).
That Regulator was bad ass
it is rock solid.
Intrepid builds the best center console on the market and they are really fast boats. A 34 with 2 450’s will run close to 80.
This is better than haulover
I came for the Apache
My Fishing Headquarters, we catch some nice Tuna and White Marlin!
you go out the 75 miles to the canyons to get them?
@@ZipZapPower Yes, I've been as far as 85 miles in my old 1991 Outrage 25.
