What inlet should I cover next?

My home port is Sebastian inlet, but we don't have near as much high-end traffic as you guys do down south, but I've witnessed three boats cap size in the same day.

Terrible placement of the captions, right in the way. Only video I’ve seen do this, couldn’t finish watching.

Outboard motors are really good but I hate trying to fish around them, so I'll keep my inboards. Shamrock 26

That Viking 66 has some serious hull care going on with that reflection.

Viking 82 - Sweetums The guy next to me at work asked me how they get the boat off the bow,,,, told him it comes off automatically when the large boat sinks

New to the channel. Great videos!! I like rough inlet and canal videos. You like old school lol. I got a little 22 foot aluminum freshwater fishing boat and up to two years ago I ran the original twin 1987 Mercury 115 power towers 😂😂😂😂. Don’t laugh at me to hard 😂😂😂😂😂

I remember when "American Lady" was built and spent their first season in OC. They were over at the White Marlin Marina. FYI - ladies and gentlemen, the American Lady is darn near 30yrs old.

We had two Vikings in the 70's, but over time they became the sole provenance of the super rich (see Michael Jordan). They are the best... and should be for what that cost.

About 20 miles north of OC is Indian River Inlet. It can get much rougher than OC especially on outgoing tide. Much more water running through there because it's a straight shot out the inlet. Big standing waves are common. Not as bad as it used to be since they removed the old bridge and pilings but still gets pretty snotty from time to time.

I think the small boat on the front of the one boat was probably a Whaler.

I use to mate on an older Luhrs 38. Solid, solid boats in rough water. Not a lot of high end speed, but the will be an absolute Bulldozer in rough water.

Yes I think outboards are better than in boards. For one easy to work on and take the motor off and install a new one so much easier. Boynton Inlet I think that’s the name of it close to Lake Worth Florida or passed it. Remember the Coast Guard station and a banana boat bar and beer can island. I live in Jersey now it’s been years since I’ve been in Florida

Serious question, why would a boat like the one at 2:10 homeport in Dallas? What does he use a semi-truck as a tow vehicle?

    • @RoughInlets
      @RoughInlets  3 роки тому

They move them around in the water generally. However sometimes it can be a huge project, a local company Jim Smith took all night to move there 100 footer to the water.

You can get a boat registered anywhere as long as you own property there. I’ve seen Vikings registered to Jackson Hole Wyoming and other landlocked regions.

There used to be two boats with dark blue hauls running out of OC. Pumpin' Hard and it's sister boat. Back in the day, they were two of the faster "Battle Wagons" running out of OC.

Sweet vessels clearly meant for traveling big water . outboards are cool but longevity is in the diesels favor . I'll trade speed for reliable long life .

The OC inlet was cut out after a hurricane the land you see in the opposite side is Assategue island. Wild ponies still roam the island. It’s. A great place to visit.
