Then we could also look videos about rare post stamps and paintings. Boat's that are doing the thing they build them for. And to see how skilled the captain is.
Many of these videos make me think of my buddy who is a commercial pilot. If you ever think turbulence is bad on a plane, it's worse in the cockpit at the front of the plane.
Whilst the poor bloke didn't seem to set the world on fire, I do congratulate him for either recognising his own limits OR that of someone on board..... good work champ✌
Like your closer shots and higher cleaner def. Two boat families came out of there who I personally know and they both had American Flags on their boats. Also like your sharp letter type on boat model names etc..
Love the Boston Whaler and the eye candy :>) Amazes me how many have a can of beer. Do that in Canada and you you get a ticket and points of your car driving license. The exception is moored and in a boat with a factory fitted head, a bucket won't do!
I've never been into boats, i'm actually scared of the deep water, yet there is something very satisfying in these videos I can't yet pinpoint, I'm on my 7th video...
nice. welcome.. i got inspired to start making these boat videos many years ago after watching rnickeymouse motorcycle videos... motorcycles scare the crap out of me.. but something about those vids had me hooked..
Gosh, never see any old stuff, maybe some Hatteras. Seems like the old wood hull boats (Chris-Craft, Egg Harbor, etc.) aren't as common on the salt water coasts as they are still on the Great Lakes.
'Midnight Express' Black eh ! What a sensible colour to have in a hot sunny climate... at least they wouldn't need gas (propane) onboard as they could fry everything on the actual deck ! I'm cool. I've got a black boat.. arrgh, ow ow ow ow.. my flipflops have melted..🤣
The Riva 44...Beautiful...Im not much into the power cruising yachts but if I was Riva is it! Damn I have expensive taste! Gosh darn UA-cam! Looking at the things I can't afford!! Lol... Always quality content. Thanks ZipZap! By the way the thumbnail is perfect !🚤 👍
Growing up I fell in love with catamarans because I would get seasick fairly quickly even if the seas were only 1-2 feet. We only ever had the typical V hull and had only been on two catamarans in my life. The one was a hobicat while the other was a large ferry that ran from Jersey to new York. So I have no idea if I would be better on a catamaran if we were out fishing. But it didn't stop me from falling in love with them lol
Someone needs to give the guy in the SeaRay at 7:00 some pointers about entering an inlet. He keeps letting the incoming waves take control of the boat which is really dangerous. He needs to use the throttle and stay on the back of one wave all the way in.
Those people on PWC are dangerous but it looks like a lot of fun. I always had a boat but I had friends with PWC years ago. They look crazy fun these days.
I stayed off PWCs as long as I could because I knew I'd love 'em. Got on one about 3 months ago and immediately bought a used beater then upgraded to a 2017 GP1800 (70+ mph!). I boat (pontoon) too, so I try to respect boaters since I know they're kind of disliked!). Lots of fun, both PWC and pontoon.
I remember in the early 2000 I was looking for a flats boat to buy and stumbled on SeaVee boats, I know they made a flats boat but were a off shore boat builder. They looked pretty nice back then how come I havent seen any on these videos, are they crap?
"What shall we do today, darling"? "Let's go our for a really uncomfortable ride in the boat" "What a great Idea"! "Shall we take the life jackets"? "Nah. What could possibly go wrong"? smh :-(
And just because you cant see a life vest doesnt mean it isnt stowed properly. And 20 bucks says that those seat cushions on most vessels are coast guard approved flotation equipment
Something I'm noticing, there isn't very many i/o in that area. Even boats that look like they should be. Is there a reason for that? Something that really pushes people to ob?
maintenance. The maintenance on an I/O in salt is horrific. The outboard package is far, far easier to service and they're typically much more corrosion resistant. They also weigh much less per horsepower.
Another great video as usual . What I find interesting though as I watch these , and I watch them all is that I do not notice any Sisus or Easterns or webbers cove or Pilots or any of the other little Maine lobster boat styles that are so prevalent up here in New England . Now their sea keeping abilities are legendary they are very very fuel efficient and from first hand experience they are just great all around boats . Apparently though they are not popular in the Florida market . In FLA it's go fast and burn gas . See and be seen . Oh well keep up the good work .
@@Tyler-kw9ce If you ever get the chance look up lobster boat races in Maine and see how fast the big boys are going . If I were to tell you you would not believe me . Also my little Repco will run all day long on 6 gallons of gas . And yes I will get there.....eventually LOL
@@Tyler-kw9ce Imho there is nothing more fuel efficient than a semi displacement hull . Now if money is no object and that appears to be the case in FLA then give me a big Regulator with triple 7s Wheeeeeeee !!!
Yes it is surprising after so many years of me personally being there and now so much video coverage of the inlet with the new guys and my guy there, a serious collisions has not happened... but the inlet is much wider than the camera makes it look.
No in fact most people in this video and many others don't have an idea how to trim the engine in the correct position when you going to the way it see you need to trim down bow to be down the way the bowl will cut the wave easily and the boat won't jump now when you going with a following sea then you need to trim the engine out so the bow will be higher and won't be buried in the wave All that combine it with the correct speed which is not always the slowest one
In rough water keep trim a quarter to halfway up keep the bow up an not trimmed under spearing waves...never trim all the way down in heavy waves you WILL take one over the nose
@@corys9898 Yeah, it seems like you'd want to squat that stern down, similar to the action of pulling a sea anchor. Sliding down the face of a wave, a little power might nail down the stern it seems. I know there are other factors, not a one size fits all...
@@BandiGetOffTheRoof agree. I run a 20 foot bass boat with a 200 hp outboard on the great lakes. A little throttle and trim will put you on top of them. Less throttle and heavy down trim will make a rough ride for sure!!

I'm so glad I live in a place with beautiful water, seascapes, and no jetskis.
Those 44 Rivas are gorgeous.
Why is this so enjoyable to watch ? I watch the whole video and I don't even have a boat
Easy to spot the Captains and the what do I do now boaters. We all learn but nice to see irl. Nice vid, made me smile.

Thanks for being here. Happy you found me!
Leaning forward in a center console makes the boat go faster!
This is true for everything

That Scout. No PFDs on the way out... coming back they're wearing them. Must've been a fun ride! LOL
That 44 Rivarama cruised through like a freakin caddy. They need to use this inlet for marketing some of these boats.
3:40 that is going to leave a mark
Right. And like so many have said, no pfds

Those Venture 34 are great riding boats. Furthermore they are extremely well made.
I must have said "Ouch" a million times watching this.
Love the crew in the Scout: Going out no life jackets, coming back--Life Jackets. Haha
I actually chuckled pretty loudly when I seen that.
That scout seemed waterlogged to me

Are those VHF antennas pointed at an angle? If so, why?
What is the boat at 4:48?
Why don’t they turn left just after the rock wall and avoid the heavy swell zone then back to the correct course again?
It’s called a small craft advisory for a reason!
Do American aerials work better when down then?

That Freeman cat at the beginning looked like it hit pretty damn hard!! ???? Thought the cats were supposed to ride on a cushion of air!!!
I thought it was illegal to fish off the pier or area your tapping from? I noticed a guy with a rod in the water at 1 point during the video.

Who else thinks the theme to Gilligans Island would be
appropriate for those boats going to sea??
After getting out of the inlet, are the swells lower out on the Atlantic? 1:42 Ohh to be a gunwale cushion

Black boats make no sense in Florida or anyplace hot other than looking "cool".

What are the regulations on jet ski’s there?
@4:05 worth the wait!

The SeaRay at 6:15 is going too slow. He'd be safer getting some of his hull up on plane and the bow up.

Everyone is freaking out about PFD’s but they’re not a requirement here. Only for children. You just have to have it in the boat.
Same thing in Alabama .
Is it me or do a lot of these small craft have too many engines and far more HP than they are likely rated for?
