8:37 Yeah ngl Wuwa is everything I wanted and then some and parrying on mobile is a pain but my only complaint is that I always run out of stamina. Especially the fact that you can skip the dialogue in side quests doesn’t burn me out. I think people are overrating Genshin’s story in the beginning. It wasn’t that great and didn’t get good until Liyue. I’m not saying Wuwa story is better yet but it’s too early to tell. People said the same thing about HSR and now I would argue not only is the story better but it makes sense with no random cameos of characters that have nothing to do with the story. When are we going to address the fact that Genshin has great story MOMENTS but has a lot of flaws as well. Such as but not limited to the random cameos, pacing as in paimon pointing out the obvious several times and focusing on npcs no one cares about.
You gotta really maange that 240 stamina well. It's helpful that you don't lose it when just automatically sprinting so don't spam it when you're running in open world unless you have to especially in a boss fight stamina means everything. I suggest get the big turtle echo and use that to mitigate damage. It saved me from a one shot move due to my level back then

Genshin doesnt need to do it, money is flowing regardless. If WuWa has the same amount of players and income they will do the same as Genshin. Right now WuWa has to give all these rewards to build a big enough playerbase. No company gives free stuff bcs they care about us.

Story or not a video game should feel good to PLAY. Music, story, settings, those all helps in aspects like mood or immersion but when it comes down to it the ONLY thing that should ever matter in a game is how fun it is to play. I’ve played Japanese mobile games (Im born and raised) for over a decade like PAD, FGO, Monster Strike, etc and its been rare for an action rpg game, if at all, to feel engaging enough to want to keep playing. There are games with amazing stories but the gameplay is just abysmal or an inch deep. WutheringWaves got the gameplay down and is the only reason I’ve actually played through all of the current content. Its just fun to play. Story or not, thats what matters the most and is what will allow it to succeed.
Gameplay just depends on the genre too. I know people who hates hack and slash for some reason and prefer a laid back sidescroller, platformer, rhythm, visual novel , turn based approach. If they nailed those then the game did its thing

Wuthering waves is definitely better in terms of the technicalities so i like it better. Also, although the tools are similar WW is definitely more convenient than genshin. Not to mention the skip button 😌

To me, Genshin is more of an artwork than a game. Music? Banger. Story… Ehhh… A lot of people like I guess? World designs, banger. Character designs, generally pretty damn good. Now as a game… That’s where it falls off a cliff. WuWa on the other hand is the complete opposite. No music caught my attention. Story is ehh… except for Act 4-6 that was good. World design is… okay? Dim Forest after you complete the exploration quest is beautiful but could’ve done so much more with the rest imo. Character designs are hit or miss and those that hit, sometimes have something that irks me off them. But as a game? Shit, everything I could ask from Genshin and more.
I think it's ingenious that they let us infinitely farm echoes without the need to use stamina. It allows us to stay playing the game and doing what the game shines at, which is the combat.
Genshin for me wins on music, worldbuilding and lore, and character design. In other words, the more artistic and literary elements to it. But as a game, WuWa completely blows Genshin out of the water for me. Grinding feels enjoyable, the combat feels fun and fast, and at least so far the developers are being highly receptive to the community's wants and potential needs. Edit: I retract worldbuilding, for reasons in the numerous replies concerning it being more alive, but the rest I stand by.
You've only grinded for a week.... Hunting packs in open world is just as equally boring as artifact domains, just more loading screens once all chests are done. It's all the same shit...bossing, trials, open world.

@@yassin8036 I'm here for Genshin, especially for every regions archon quest, then rewatch the Teyvat Chapter stories to point out what I have gained. Now that's what makes us feel a live to play genshin. Unlike Wuwa, it lacks story background, it has skip button which I really hate it because it can erode the story progression, and Wuwa doesn't have or post a chapter storyline, and I'm still confuse of Rover's goal.
We can actually spot people who stay Genshin and those who stay Wuwa if a person mostly doesn't like lore or story, hates to read, and they love the game because it has "skip" button and only enjoy for combats. Then that person is a Wuwa player. If a person likes to read, loves stories or lore. Then that person is a genshin player. What makes genshin still alive in these days?, it is because of archon quest, an upcoming region with great arc. Everytime I play Archon quest, I feel like I'm watching 3 movies already. For those wuwa players who came from genshin back then and they decided to quit and hated genshin, those people are lore skippers🤭

He at least provides some interesting commentary on the subject, which can be seen by the fact that his reaction videos are often like double in length of the original content. That's much better than, for example, Forsen. In all the videos I've seen of him, he just sits there and says nothing, maybe chuckles from time to time. I swear, counting his nose hairs through his weirdly positioned camera is more engaging than his content.

Most of the ppl saying Genshin story is so much better than Wuwa have not even finished the Sumeru story. Come on bro, if the story is so good, why have most ppl not even finished it. It’s so boring and full of unskippable dialogue, I never look forward to more story quests. We all know we ain’t finding our sibling until 2030.
After spending $100+ on genshin and getting nearly all 5 stars pre-sumeru, after not playing since sumeru update, hearing about fontaine and now natlan. I got even less motivated to come back since the amount of content I have to catch up with is insane and the amount of talking is a pain in the ass. Not only did WuWa allow me to start from scratch, being able to skip the story when I feel like it is amazing. Echo hunting made open world exploration fun since you are not just hunting for chests and oculus. I am not held back by a stamina system that makes sure I cant do shit if I wanted to play during my free day but not want to do a talkative story.
Happy fun time story in genshin like the time jeht went and massacered the Tribe that took her in after her dad died. or that one Story where a whole civilisation got turned into mindless monsters that get massacered by the Player on a daily Basis for 60 primos. Or the Story about that scientist and his robot that tried to "fix" the corpse with mechanical pieces. How kid friendly

I Remember trying to get into genshin, I dropped 200$ on the game, which was the most I had ever spent on a game, I got Hutao and her staff with the money, which I thought was pretty cool, lost the first 50/50 on hutao and got a constellation for mona who I also got on my first ever 10 pull. However, a few months later (I took a break from story and spent a bit of time only exploring) I decided to finish up the story to unlock the Raiden Shogun zone, i dont know the name but anywho, I was doing this quest, talking to this one girl, and she dropped some coins on the floor, and she told me to pick them all up for her, and that's when I straight up just left the game, and pressed uninstall. If a game's quest is the pick up something someone dropped while they watch me do it, nahhh fam, make it a cutscene were we both pick it up, and paimon helps or smth. That was some bs, the game was already really boring storywise since all the mobs were too easy and never put up a challenge, not to mention that every mob for the first 60 hours i played the game for, looked exactly the same. It was very dull. I tried it, gave it a good shot, but realized it just wasn't for me. However, wuthering waves has been something I've really enjoyed, both story wise, gameplay wise, combat wise, as well as farming, the farm doesn't really feel grindy, even if it was, I mean, I spent around 8 hours straight just killing echo's, but I was having fun the entire time. That's how it is, and the reason it was fun is because the combat was fun and engaging (I didn't use any level up materials so all my characters were low level, making every mob a mini-boss that was actually dangerous. Also, it saves u some materials which can be used later down the line. Highly recommend an approach like that if it interests you. It might be a lil confusing but, I think genshin impact is a more enjoyable game for people who haven't played that many games with fighting or shooting, games like, League, WoW, FF14, CSGO, Valorant, CoD exc. If you've just been playing mobile games or enjoying urself in real life, or playing some random games like crash Bandicoot and Super Mario 64 exc. Genshin might be more enjoyable since you dont have to focus so much on the fighting part. But if you've spent a lot of time playing games like League, WoW, FF14, CSGO, Valorant or Cod, you might find Wuthering waves way more enjoyable. It's all about approach and what you enjoy doing. The same as some people enjoy playing Chess, and some people can't stand playing chess. It's not about whether a game is good or not, it's about if you can enjoy the game or not. I think the same can be said about Retail wow, and Classic wow. Classic is about the community, and everyone being a part of the world itself, while retail is about progression and "status". (Status as in, mounts, pets, achievements, titles exc, sort of like flexing) One could make the argument that the difference is living on a farm, enjoying life with your family, laying back, being part of nature and giving back to the world and the people, you farm crops, you raise animals and then butcher them for food, both for urselves, but also to sell for others exc, you become a part of the world, and the natural state of it. This would be the "Classic" players. While the "Retail" Players would be the industries, like programmers, higher up people like politicians, stock market people, investors exc. Their main goal in life is earning money so they later down the line, can enjoy it. It's just different type of approaches to the same thing, which in life, is enjoyment of life it self, and in the game, it's the enjoyment of what you've accomplished. In classic, it's the friends you made along the way, and in retail it's the gear and accomplishments you've made along the way. That's the only way I could put it into words, idk. I'm just typing my ass out, this has nothing to do with the game tbh, I was just bored. - "Sorry Steve, I was bored"
I could spend hours just exploring this world and have, the combat and free roaming is just SO good and the fact that we can run up just about anything adds so much fluidity and fun to exploring. I absolutely also LOVE all the Resonators, not a single one do I dislike and also kudos to the devs for listening to the community and being so generous and fair with the pulls and adding fixes already 2 weeks in. I love this game and I always will if they keep this up ❤️
But for real though, so far wuwa's story at 1.0 blows genshin 1.0 story out of the water. You cant compare a game with 4 years of story to a game with like 2 weeks of story.
I won't be playing wuthering waves but I really enjoy this content 😂 I barely have time to play so for me I still have alot to do while waiting for new content in genshin
There ain’t no Wuwa D riders. There are only Wuwa players who appreciate how the devs actually care about them, and can’t understand why ppl ride Mihoyo so hard when mihoyo gives you not even 1 pull for anniversary rewards.
I have played Genshin since launch and while I still have it installed, the things I still like can not outweigh the neglect of the developers. That has been a main factor in me playing significantly less, and why I've been playing HSR and now WW every chance I can get. I feel respected as a consumer, and the content is great too -especially those QoL. The fact Genshin has only made small attempts at QoL now, and out of necessity...it definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth. I'll probably only play once a month now. Peace to others, have fun.
I wish they didn’t go with the amnesia crap so they could’ve separated themselves more from genshin at the very start. (Like in PGR when you have you’re own squad and there’s a reason for them to be present in the story) It obviously took from both genshin and HSR in terms of features but the combat makes it a unique experience… overall I just wish I liked the characters more tbh…
Aether and Lumine don't really have amnesia though, unless you're trying to say that the position the MCs are in in terms of their role in the story is similar. But even then Caelus and Stelle from HSR would be a better example as they are straight up blank slates like WuWas MCs
Genshin mc remembers everything where he came from etc. But he won't say it. He will always skip stuff releated to his past. It probably endgame story for genshin

The thing is, I love exploration. And Genshin being a BotW clone is really doing it for me. The issues I have with Wuthering Waves is the random moments it decides to get clunky mid climbing. Like in Genshin, the issue is the characters climbs anything you don't wanna climb within your vicinity. WW, on the other hand, characters decide to NOT stick on moments you NEED them to stick, I'm looking at you TIGER'S MAW. Combat Wise, WW Slaps. Like whotf thought of Forte Circuit? Give them a raise. I feel like playing a MOBA in my Gacha with how creative they get. My favorite being Sanha's QTA Forte Circuit. Who even thinks about that. It's crazy. Genshin clearly has the Superior Story though. Even Star Rail isn't quite there yet. My only problem is "The Archon is NOT The Archon" is starting to get stale after 5 seasons.
To truly enjoy Wuthering Waves, you need a very decent pc, which I do not have... I am trying but not really enjoying it on mobile, due to lag and overheating issues. However I am loving the game. At least with Genshin, is an older game so you can play it on mobile with not as many issues.
i quit genshin coz the motivation to play the game is gone nothing to do with any content creator saying genshin is shit or whatever just personally unmotivated.

The new genshin "combat" Event took me 1min 40s to complete all the 4 bosses.. It took me more time to talk to the npc in front of the bosses rather than the bosses itself and I didn't care abt any buffs/debuffs and just did my thing
If it’s Wuthering Waves 1.0 vs Genshin 1.0. WW easily wins. Genshins had 4 years, so in terms of content it’s better for now just due to the amount of time it’s been given. If WW came out first I would have uninstalled Genshin a long time ago
I’m just so done with hoyo, and it’s honestly sad. I genuinely used to love genshin but with how hoyo is treating it I just can’t play it. And I genuinely want to see the game succeed. I’ll probably come back once the story is complete and I’ll play through it, but for now I’m done.

One thing I really like about Wuva is that with just a week’s worth of building your character (ftp) you really feel like you’re doing good dmg which is pretty satisfying and makes you wanting to play the game more In Genshin however (ftp) it takes a lot more time to even build your characters and without a limited character you’ll always feel as if you’re not doing enough dmg. The standard 5 stars are below mediocre and even getting them will take weeks of grinding. And the good 4 star characters are usually only available on the limited chara banner. I’ve really enjoyed Genshin over the last 5 months of my playing but as things stand Wuva is just the better option for now, although in the future because of competition from wuva Genshin might get a lot better but nevertheless I don’t think the core mechanics of the game are ever gonna change ( no parry system,dodge etc)
I am just enjoying the drama lol. The some men just want to see the world burn, view. I play Genshin because I've already invested too much time into it and I'm not willing to start another gacha. It's basically the only gacha I play and only from time to time when I'm bored or waiting for another game to come out (the Elden Ring DLC wait). But I swear the drama is the spiciest thing that keeps me coming back to gacha channels.
I’m 15 and started playing genshin when I was around the age of 12 so I was playing for 3 years but took tons of break but since wuthering waves came out I’ve been playing non stop I just don’t know this game feels more fun
I feel like wuwa has a better story because genshin shifts away from the start, and also wuwa is SIGNIFICANTLY better at combat, not a little. Theres genuinely much more in terms of movement, you can counterattack, perfect parry, and it has much more skill to it and more freedom due to its movement. Genshins combat get so repetitive and theres nothing to do tbh i just log in and kill some enemies and log off so idk man

Not defending Hoyo shit here at all but we all act like Wuwa is doing something massively different. - Where is the endgame in Wuwa? Tower? Depths? Cause I did those in like 10 minutes and there is nothing more. How is that different from Genshin? - Echo grind? It's fucking terrible. I grinded for about 14 hours already and didn't get A SINGLE echo worth anything. RNG inside of RNG inside of RNG inside of another fucking RNG. It's literally 10 times worse than artifact farming ever was. - Mature story? Where? When Verina, Alto and Encore appeared I thought I was gonna fucking die out of cringe. It's like Paimon tripled herself and had a conversation with her clones. That said. I like the combat. It's interesting so far but if you think it's gonna stay hard, boy you're wrong. I'm already at a point where everything became very easy and my team is not optimal at all. It's gonna be the same as Genshin. You pull off your rotation and everything dies. Story and voice acting is horrible. Genshin can be childish and cringe but there are bits and pieces that are absolutely dark, mature and amazing. There is nothing like that in Wuwa so far. Characters are waaay more interesting in Genshin but I like male designs in Wuwa a lot more. Worldbuilding in Genshin is absolutely a lot better. No matter were you go, everything around you is instantly recognisable. The world is cohesive, beutiful and believable. In Wuwa? I don't fucking know where I am most of the time cause everything looks like a garbage dump of random assets that make no sense. Movement and traversal is waaaaay better in Wuwa and it's not even close. Open world puzzles in Wuwa are insanely boring and uninspired. Genshin has a lot of those too but at least sometimes you find a place that is a huge cohesive dungeon of puzzles that takes you hours to do. There is nothing like that in Wuwa. So far honestly.... To me, the only thing Wuwa vastly outperforms Genshin in is how they treat their customers. But in the end. I'm not going to the restaurant for customer service. I'm going to the restaurant to eat good. You have something to eat in Wuwa cause it's fresh and new. But if you're like me? I'm already running out of content to do and I don't think it's gonna stay fresh for everyone for years to come. Nothing really does. Enjoy your honeymoon phase while it lasts.
It's too early since it's a week old. Criticize them if they don't listen at all and update. The echo grinding is heard in a dev note. Genshin have 4 years and didn't change anything the endgame or improve it. Wuwa is doing something different because of their responsiveness, that's all. A player's feedback can be heard. …Did you complain about WuWa NOT having hour long puzzles!? I could not STAND the puzzles in Genshin. I did not care about the 50 primos reward, I skipped all of the ones I could. They are soooo boring and frustrating. I just want to beat shit up, I don’t want to do drawn out tedious puzzles. So I love the fact that the puzzles in WW are quick and to the point. I quit Genshin because of the bloated unskippable walls of text, but the Sumeru puzzles did not help the situation either. I just want fun combat, and I feel like Genshin did everything in their power to get in the way of getting to the most enjoyable part of the game for me which was action rpg elements.

When tectone said that genshin has no gameplay. I completely agree, I love genshin (for my own reasons dont shoot) but I have to admit I only play for a bit each week and then go on about my day.
Story wise, Genshin is MUCH better, and it's not just cause there's more of it. The story is phenomenal. The story isn't for children at all, if you can see even slightly beyond surface. And for every arc there's been massive improvements in story telling. But combat in Wuwa is phenomenal and much better than in Genshin. It's actually challenging in a good way and not in a cringe way - like fuking Genshin combat. Genshin combat isn't bad, it's pretty good actually. And Wuwa story is by no means bad, it's pretty good! But each respectively is just much better than the other.
@@17ch18fn3oooThe nine pillars of peace exploration quest was awesome, same with finally travelling to the island waaay over at the edge of monstadt and getting a little quest with some nice lore. Inazuma had some really cool locations, such as travelling all the way up seirai island. It reminded me of BOTW exploration in a way where you had mysterious locations that had their own side quests & lore. I’ve unlocked the entirety of the 1.0 map of wuthering waves and havent seen anything like these.

8:37 Yeah ngl Wuwa is everything I wanted and then some and parrying on mobile is a pain but my only complaint is that I always run out of stamina. Especially the fact that you can skip the dialogue in side quests doesn’t burn me out. I think people are overrating Genshin’s story in the beginning. It wasn’t that great and didn’t get good until Liyue. I’m not saying Wuwa story is better yet but it’s too early to tell. People said the same thing about HSR and now I would argue not only is the story better but it makes sense with no random cameos of characters that have nothing to do with the story. When are we going to address the fact that Genshin has great story MOMENTS but has a lot of flaws as well. Such as but not limited to the random cameos, pacing as in paimon pointing out the obvious several times and focusing on npcs no one cares about.
You gotta really maange that 240 stamina well. It's helpful that you don't lose it when just automatically sprinting so don't spam it when you're running in open world unless you have to especially in a boss fight stamina means everything. I suggest get the big turtle echo and use that to mitigate damage. It saved me from a one shot move due to my level back then

Story or not a video game should feel good to PLAY. Music, story, settings, those all helps in aspects like mood or immersion but when it comes down to it the ONLY thing that should ever matter in a game is how fun it is to play.
I’ve played Japanese mobile games (Im born and raised) for over a decade like PAD, FGO, Monster Strike, etc and its been rare for an action rpg game, if at all, to feel engaging enough to want to keep playing. There are games with amazing stories but the gameplay is just abysmal or an inch deep.
WutheringWaves got the gameplay down and is the only reason I’ve actually played through all of the current content.
Its just fun to play. Story or not, thats what matters the most and is what will allow it to succeed.
Gameplay just depends on the genre too. I know people who hates hack and slash for some reason and prefer a laid back sidescroller, platformer, rhythm, visual novel , turn based approach. If they nailed those then the game did its thing

To me, Genshin is more of an artwork than a game.
Music? Banger. Story… Ehhh… A lot of people like I guess? World designs, banger. Character designs, generally pretty damn good.
Now as a game… That’s where it falls off a cliff.
WuWa on the other hand is the complete opposite. No music caught my attention. Story is ehh… except for Act 4-6 that was good. World design is… okay? Dim Forest after you complete the exploration quest is beautiful but could’ve done so much more with the rest imo. Character designs are hit or miss and those that hit, sometimes have something that irks me off them.
But as a game? Shit, everything I could ask from Genshin and more.
I think it's ingenious that they let us infinitely farm echoes without the need to use stamina. It allows us to stay playing the game and doing what the game shines at, which is the combat.
This is one of the best video in the history of open world online game, both of these streamers.
Genshin for me wins on music, worldbuilding and lore, and character design. In other words, the more artistic and literary elements to it. But as a game, WuWa completely blows Genshin out of the water for me. Grinding feels enjoyable, the combat feels fun and fast, and at least so far the developers are being highly receptive to the community's wants and potential needs.
Edit: I retract worldbuilding, for reasons in the numerous replies concerning it being more alive, but the rest I stand by.

@@yassin8036 I'm here for Genshin, especially for every regions archon quest, then rewatch the Teyvat Chapter stories to point out what I have gained. Now that's what makes us feel a live to play genshin. Unlike Wuwa, it lacks story background, it has skip button which I really hate it because it can erode the story progression, and Wuwa doesn't have or post a chapter storyline, and I'm still confuse of Rover's goal.

He at least provides some interesting commentary on the subject, which can be seen by the fact that his reaction videos are often like double in length of the original content.
That's much better than, for example, Forsen. In all the videos I've seen of him, he just sits there and says nothing, maybe chuckles from time to time. I swear, counting his nose hairs through his weirdly positioned camera is more engaging than his content.

After spending $100+ on genshin and getting nearly all 5 stars pre-sumeru, after not playing since sumeru update, hearing about fontaine and now natlan. I got even less motivated to come back since the amount of content I have to catch up with is insane and the amount of talking is a pain in the ass.
Not only did WuWa allow me to start from scratch, being able to skip the story when I feel like it is amazing. Echo hunting made open world exploration fun since you are not just hunting for chests and oculus. I am not held back by a stamina system that makes sure I cant do shit if I wanted to play during my free day but not want to do a talkative story.
Happy fun time story in genshin like the time jeht went and massacered the Tribe that took her in after her dad died.
or that one Story where a whole civilisation got turned into mindless monsters that get massacered by the Player on a daily Basis for 60 primos.

I Remember trying to get into genshin, I dropped 200$ on the game, which was the most I had ever spent on a game, I got Hutao and her staff with the money, which I thought was pretty cool, lost the first 50/50 on hutao and got a constellation for mona who I also got on my first ever 10 pull. However, a few months later (I took a break from story and spent a bit of time only exploring) I decided to finish up the story to unlock the Raiden Shogun zone, i dont know the name but anywho, I was doing this quest, talking to this one girl, and she dropped some coins on the floor, and she told me to pick them all up for her, and that's when I straight up just left the game, and pressed uninstall. If a game's quest is the pick up something someone dropped while they watch me do it, nahhh fam, make it a cutscene were we both pick it up, and paimon helps or smth. That was some bs, the game was already really boring storywise since all the mobs were too easy and never put up a challenge, not to mention that every mob for the first 60 hours i played the game for, looked exactly the same. It was very dull. I tried it, gave it a good shot, but realized it just wasn't for me.
However, wuthering waves has been something I've really enjoyed, both story wise, gameplay wise, combat wise, as well as farming, the farm doesn't really feel grindy, even if it was, I mean, I spent around 8 hours straight just killing echo's, but I was having fun the entire time. That's how it is, and the reason it was fun is because the combat was fun and engaging (I didn't use any level up materials so all my characters were low level, making every mob a mini-boss that was actually dangerous. Also, it saves u some materials which can be used later down the line. Highly recommend an approach like that if it interests you.
It might be a lil confusing but, I think genshin impact is a more enjoyable game for people who haven't played that many games with fighting or shooting, games like, League, WoW, FF14, CSGO, Valorant, CoD exc. If you've just been playing mobile games or enjoying urself in real life, or playing some random games like crash Bandicoot and Super Mario 64 exc. Genshin might be more enjoyable since you dont have to focus so much on the fighting part. But if you've spent a lot of time playing games like League, WoW, FF14, CSGO, Valorant or Cod, you might find Wuthering waves way more enjoyable. It's all about approach and what you enjoy doing. The same as some people enjoy playing Chess, and some people can't stand playing chess. It's not about whether a game is good or not, it's about if you can enjoy the game or not. I think the same can be said about Retail wow, and Classic wow.
Classic is about the community, and everyone being a part of the world itself, while retail is about progression and "status". (Status as in, mounts, pets, achievements, titles exc, sort of like flexing) One could make the argument that the difference is living on a farm, enjoying life with your family, laying back, being part of nature and giving back to the world and the people, you farm crops, you raise animals and then butcher them for food, both for urselves, but also to sell for others exc, you become a part of the world, and the natural state of it. This would be the "Classic" players. While the "Retail" Players would be the industries, like programmers, higher up people like politicians, stock market people, investors exc. Their main goal in life is earning money so they later down the line, can enjoy it. It's just different type of approaches to the same thing, which in life, is enjoyment of life it self, and in the game, it's the enjoyment of what you've accomplished. In classic, it's the friends you made along the way, and in retail it's the gear and accomplishments you've made along the way.

I could spend hours just exploring this world and have, the combat and free roaming is just SO good and the fact that we can run up just about anything adds so much fluidity and fun to exploring. I absolutely also LOVE all the Resonators, not a single one do I dislike and also kudos to the devs for listening to the community and being so generous and fair with the pulls and adding fixes already 2 weeks in.
I love this game and I always will if they keep this up ❤️

There ain’t no Wuwa D riders. There are only Wuwa players who appreciate how the devs actually care about them, and can’t understand why ppl ride Mihoyo so hard when mihoyo gives you not even 1 pull for anniversary rewards.
I have played Genshin since launch and while I still have it installed, the things I still like can not outweigh the neglect of the developers. That has been a main factor in me playing significantly less, and why I've been playing HSR and now WW every chance I can get. I feel respected as a consumer, and the content is great too -especially those QoL. The fact Genshin has only made small attempts at QoL now, and out of necessity...it definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth. I'll probably only play once a month now. Peace to others, have fun.
HSR is where the best and veterans of Mihoyo is at rignt now tbh. Dunno for ZZZ , let's just wait and see if it'll follow the formula of HSR
I wish they didn’t go with the amnesia crap so they could’ve separated themselves more from genshin at the very start. (Like in PGR when you have you’re own squad and there’s a reason for them to be present in the story) It obviously took from both genshin and HSR in terms of features but the combat makes it a unique experience… overall I just wish I liked the characters more tbh…
Aether and Lumine don't really have amnesia though, unless you're trying to say that the position the MCs are in in terms of their role in the story is similar. But even then Caelus and Stelle from HSR would be a better example as they are straight up blank slates like WuWas MCs
Genshins MC aren't amnesiac they just hide many things from anyone and you're just finding out your twins plans. They took it from HSR

The thing is, I love exploration. And Genshin being a BotW clone is really doing it for me. The issues I have with Wuthering Waves is the random moments it decides to get clunky mid climbing. Like in Genshin, the issue is the characters climbs anything you don't wanna climb within your vicinity. WW, on the other hand, characters decide to NOT stick on moments you NEED them to stick, I'm looking at you TIGER'S MAW.
Combat Wise, WW Slaps. Like whotf thought of Forte Circuit? Give them a raise. I feel like playing a MOBA in my Gacha with how creative they get. My favorite being Sanha's QTA Forte Circuit. Who even thinks about that. It's crazy.
Genshin clearly has the Superior Story though. Even Star Rail isn't quite there yet. My only problem is "The Archon is NOT The Archon" is starting to get stale after 5 seasons.

To truly enjoy Wuthering Waves, you need a very decent pc, which I do not have... I am trying but not really enjoying it on mobile, due to lag and overheating issues. However I am loving the game. At least with Genshin, is an older game so you can play it on mobile with not as many issues.

The new genshin "combat" Event took me 1min 40s to complete all the 4 bosses.. It took me more time to talk to the npc in front of the bosses rather than the bosses itself and I didn't care abt any buffs/debuffs and just did my thing

If it’s Wuthering Waves 1.0 vs Genshin 1.0. WW easily wins. Genshins had 4 years, so in terms of content it’s better for now just due to the amount of time it’s been given. If WW came out first I would have uninstalled Genshin a long time ago

I’m just so done with hoyo, and it’s honestly sad. I genuinely used to love genshin but with how hoyo is treating it I just can’t play it. And I genuinely want to see the game succeed. I’ll probably come back once the story is complete and I’ll play through it, but for now I’m done.
It’s a shame too because their games have so much potential. Especially Honkai Star Rail.

One thing I really like about Wuva is that with just a week’s worth of building your character (ftp) you really feel like you’re doing good dmg which is pretty satisfying and makes you wanting to play the game more
In Genshin however (ftp) it takes a lot more time to even build your characters and without a limited character you’ll always feel as if you’re not doing enough dmg. The standard 5 stars are below mediocre and even getting them will take weeks of grinding. And the good 4 star characters are usually only available on the limited chara banner.
I’ve really enjoyed Genshin over the last 5 months of my playing but as things stand Wuva is just the better option for now, although in the future because of competition from wuva Genshin might get a lot better but nevertheless I don’t think the core mechanics of the game are ever gonna change ( no parry system,dodge etc)

It's basically the only gacha I play and only from time to time when I'm bored or waiting for another game to come out (the Elden Ring DLC wait). But I swear the drama is the spiciest thing that keeps me coming back to gacha channels.

I’m 15 and started playing genshin when I was around the age of 12 so I was playing for 3 years but took tons of break but since wuthering waves came out I’ve been playing non stop I just don’t know this game feels more fun
Genshin is like a job its a chore to enjoy wuthering is inherently fun.
To be honest at least in my opinion, wuthering waves has a bit better combat but genshin has a better story hook when first starting out
I feel like wuwa has a better story because genshin shifts away from the start, and also wuwa is SIGNIFICANTLY better at combat, not a little. Theres genuinely much more in terms of movement, you can counterattack, perfect parry, and it has much more skill to it and more freedom due to its movement. Genshins combat get so repetitive and theres nothing to do tbh i just log in and kill some

Like only counting gatcha? If so, then Yes, because before Genshin there was basically no open world Gatcha game, but I played quite a bit of games that is open world thats not gatcha. Cyberpunk is amazing these days, Elden ring was so good, I guess Nier automata is open world as well..

Not defending Hoyo shit here at all but we all act like Wuwa is doing something massively different.
- Where is the endgame in Wuwa? Tower? Depths? Cause I did those in like 10 minutes and there is nothing more. How is that different from Genshin?
- Echo grind? It's fucking terrible. I grinded for about 14 hours already and didn't get A SINGLE echo worth anything. RNG inside of RNG inside of RNG inside of another fucking RNG. It's literally 10 times worse than artifact farming ever was.
- Mature story? Where? When Verina, Alto and Encore appeared I thought I was gonna fucking die out of cringe. It's like Paimon tripled herself and had a conversation with her clones.
That said. I like the combat. It's interesting so far but if you think it's gonna stay hard, boy you're wrong. I'm already at a point where everything became very easy and my team is not optimal at all. It's gonna be the same as Genshin. You pull off your rotation and everything dies.
Story and voice acting is horrible. Genshin can be childish and cringe but there are bits and pieces that are absolutely dark, mature and amazing. There is nothing like that in Wuwa so far.
Characters are waaay more interesting in Genshin but I like male designs in Wuwa a lot more.
Worldbuilding in Genshin is absolutely a lot better. No matter were you go, everything around you is instantly recognisable. The world is cohesive, beutiful and believable. In Wuwa? I don't fucking know where I am most of the time cause everything looks like a garbage dump of random assets that make no sense.
Movement and traversal is waaaaay better in Wuwa and it's not even close.
Open world puzzles in Wuwa are insanely boring and uninspired. Genshin has a lot of those too but at least sometimes you find a place that is a huge cohesive dungeon of puzzles that takes you hours to do. There is nothing like that in Wuwa.
So far honestly.... To me, the only thing Wuwa vastly outperforms Genshin in is how they treat their customers. But in the end. I'm not going to the restaurant for customer service. I'm going to the restaurant to eat good. You have something to eat in Wuwa cause it's fresh and new. But if you're like me? I'm already running out of content to do and I don't think it's gonna stay fresh for everyone for years to come. Nothing really does.

It's too early since it's a week old. Criticize them if they don't listen at all and update. The echo grinding is heard in a dev note. We're in the same boat but I don't feel out of content and finish all of it. Yeah even finishing achievements. Nothing stays fresh and that's objective
…Did you complain about WuWa NOT having hour long puzzles!? I could not STAND the puzzles in Genshin. I did not care about the 50 primos reward, I skipped all of the ones I could. They are soooo boring and frustrating. I just want to beat shit up, I don’t want to do drawn out tedious puzzles. So I love the fact that the puzzles in WW are quick and to the point.
I quit Genshin because of the bloated unskippable walls of text, but the Sumeru puzzles did not help the situation either. I just want fun combat, and I feel like Genshin did everything in their power to get in the way of getting to the most enjoyable part of the game for me which was action rpg elements.

Story wise, Genshin is MUCH better, and it's not just cause there's more of it. The story is phenomenal. The story isn't for children at all, if you can see even slightly beyond surface. And for every arc there's been massive improvements in story telling.
But combat in Wuwa is phenomenal and much better than in Genshin. It's actually challenging in a good way and not in a cringe way - like fuking Genshin combat.
Genshin combat isn't bad, it's pretty good actually. And Wuwa story is by no means bad, it's pretty good! But each respectively is just much better than the other.

@@17ch18fn3oooThe nine pillars of peace exploration quest was awesome, same with finally travelling to the island waaay over at the edge of monstadt and getting a little quest with some nice lore. Inazuma had some really cool locations, such as travelling all the way up seirai island. It reminded me of BOTW exploration in a way where you had mysterious locations that had their own side quests & lore.

At the Moment i do my daylies and pre farm vor new units in genshin. WuWa have so much to offer. I play both and having a blast to play both.
