Amazing, yesterday I was wondering what was going on with Earth 2, Chronicles of Elyria and Dreamworld. The drama of those projects made my days back in the Covid times
Earth 2 makes the day before look like a well managed project
If I squint enough, the PvE gameplay in the background looks like DreamWorld.
Every clips shown in background looks like they come from different games/asset packs with nothing linking them together clearly people never bought in it for any kind of game related content.
the animal animation is also weird because it looks really nice... right up until it jerkily stops pauses and jumps to a new idle.
@@NormandyFoxtrot Yeah the deer running looked good but that was probably from a starter pack as well
bro every time i see "earth 2' im thinking to myself. 'this HAS to be the LAST time they EVER talk about Earth 2. right??'
lol NOPE XDDDD
They're going to mismanage this hard enough to end up in prison
I smell a possible Exit Scam coming. Shane's gonna wish there was a 2nd Earth to hide from the Feds in.
I desperately hope so, because people should not be getting away with obvious ponzi scams that just so happen to use computers in there somewhere...
"some people have hundreds of dollars worth of stuff, many people have forty to sixty thousand dollars worth of stuff on their profile"
wrong, its 0 dollars worth of stuff lmao
People put hundreds of thousands of dollars to this? Were they insane?
@@Shauma_llama these are cryptobros we're talking about
lol I wish Arya Realty was still around.
He's still on x trying to convince people of ess greatness
He is.
Classic Kira "Arya Serious?" videos, man. I need to re-watch some of the really old stuff with the benefit of hindsight.
@@DemmyDemonmost of them got taken down I think, I can’t find them.
@@xeagaortso Kira and Arya made their cut off the videos and they serve no real purpose anymore?
I love these Earth 2 updates, it's my favorite internet drama
Callum. I feel bad that you reported on thsi... but THANK YOU! You are AWESOME!
Happy to see you!
lmao why tf is there skeletons and golems roaming around? how does the beach buggy off-road racing match with that? oh right.. there ain´t any.. wasn´t this scam supposed to be scifi/futuristic shite?
It's Dreamworld 2.0!
Racing games with skeletons to avoid isn't even a new idea, Lego Island did that in 1997. (Which is a much better game to play than Earth 2!)
they are just a simple purchase to distract the investors ;3. like shaking keys over a baby
Thank you for covering this, I'm sick of concord this Concord that... or assassin this or maybe ps5 news..
this video is absolutely insane, its like everything that couldve gone wrong, did go wrong all at once
Anyone who put money into this with so many people showing them why that would be a bad idea... 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Congratulations!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Look at those gains! 😂
If you told me that Earth 2 was a project led by a literal child, I'd believe you given the context of these circumstances. Not paying devs, implementing a broken broke authentication system, kicking their moderator.
But it's not.
Though Shane Isaac continues to act like a braindead manchild, he is still an adult. And as sad as it is that some people fell for this guy's scam, the fact remains he's still scammed people.
I think some people just aren't cut out to lead a game studio. Hell, I'm probably one of them. If you know you struggle finishing projects, don't ask for people's money. Especially when your project is literally of planetary scale!
I really want to see you talk to someone who is a big Earth 2 defender. Last time I heard about this project was years ago, that was when everyone was hype and saying so many millionaires were going to be minted
Cant wait to play as a deer in earth 2
If ever there was a window, the opportunity is long closed.
"And don't worry, that wasn't irrelevant" That being the first thing said after a sponsorship about cyber security is basically saying to get your popcorn.
I get the feeling that being sued for unpaid wages would bankrupt E2.
combat system? since when did they decide to add a combat system? what even is this "game"? (i know there is no game, i mean their idea of it :D )
idk what it is, delusion, stupidity, or just good ol sunken cost fallacy, but this scam is going on for too long, it's time for them to go
It's as if you knew I watched your interview video yesterday and dropped this just for me 😊 Thanks, daddy Upton
💦😆 😓
That water on face = cum
toxic positivity till the whole thing is ash. GJ!
3:30 love the Earth 2 series reference. I haven't seen it since it first aired but I was a big fan back in the day. I recently had a bit of a look at it on IMDb and thought I should try to track it down
People who regard their money so poorly that they would actually invest in Earth 2 would lose it anyway one way or another.
26:43 cheers to “if I change my name to something clever then maybe someone will read it” you got me.
I hope they accept crypto in whatever place that doesn't have an extradition agreement with the U.S. that Shane escapes to...
As a game developer the guy making earth 2 doesn't seem to have a stable idea on what Earth 2 is supposed to be apart from a money farm. this is why it will never be successful, games require a goal, a final idea. he keeps flip flopping on what he wants to do.
So instead of real money they are giving them Monopoly money.
Monopoly money at least has a game you can play with it.
@@fredhurst2528 And a much, much better game at that!
This "game" is all over the place, what is it even about?
Separating idiots and their money straight into Shane's pocket
I backed DRONE years and years ago. Still mad about Shane snapping them up.
Amazing to see you return to the glory of E2
What a unique blend of a Ponzi, pyramid, and multi-level marketing scheme. How anyone thought it was a good idea to participate is beyond me.
These videos are always such a nice reminder for those of us who didn't invest in it, that we've made the correct choice
"Fall apart like a British Bake-Off cake base" is savage.
Callum, please cover EVE Frontier!
I think we are going to have a lot of content to talk about this one.
I'll take a look for sure!
If people have access to other people's account settings, wouldn't they be able to change those settings also? Meaning they could change the linked email address and phone number and effectively steal the accounts forever?
Now there's a scary thought...
the scary thought is if people left credit card info in, they could put more of your money into the burning pit
I'll disagree with one thing you said Callum: " it's not going to plan". It is definitely going to plan, just not the one that is available publicly.
Not to give advise to any potential scammers... but why are they dragging this so much. Money is gone, dev team is gone, your discord mods are gone ffs... finish the operation already, there's no one left to milk for more money lol.
Tier 1 channel supporter "if I change my name to something clever": I have read your nickname. You are seen.
Cryptobros when they found Second Life existing:
The final phase has begun? Going from taking money to switching gears and finding ways to not give it back.
The multi year saga continues. Love these videos
I love it when the situation is insane
If bafles me that they call this pictures in a google earth map as "land" 🤣
It baffles me that you'd buy virtual land in a metaverse. If you can't teleport you're tied down and won't see much of it, and if you can then there's almost no prime real estate.
Dude, you called it from the beginning. 😂
It's been a long while since I watched an earth 2 video... almost forgot they existed.
Ah yes, the revolutionary Nav Mesh tech, first conceived for robotics in 1986 and applied to video games at the start of the millennium.
Truly ahead of their time.
So people bought tiles. Now what? Stare at the grass? Wow, what a load of fun.
this makes Dreamworld look good
They should have invested in earth 3 to be more inline with web 3.0.
any system that allows case sensitive usernames should be deleted immediately >:(
They basically sent the message "we don't have your money, it's gone."
that website error is just a simple SAML setting in how they are matching the accounts, wow that's fundamental
22:51 Sounds like a Kurosanji tactic
Lets be real. The incompetency was there from day 1 if you have coosen to not see it you are on your own. Now comes the ice berg and this ship will sink fast.
Never attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity.
Unless there's evidence. Like there seems to be here.
Earth 2 has clearly gone into it's "grab a new asset pack and shoe-horn it into a demo world to show how much work is happening" phase. Worked great for Dreamworld.
Wait what? A fantasy game? Wasnt earth 2 suposed to be some economy-sim? With modern buildings and shit? Why is there a cheap darksouls knockoff asset flip?
Because they are selling Knight-like skin (yep... they're selling skin without the possibility to play the game behind).
this video comes up first in search results, right below it is the earth 2 channel
Short answer is, if you have 4K to blow on this then you get no sympathy. If you have 300K to blow on this, then you know what you were trying to do and got rugged yourself.
