All the dark stuff has happened in the past. Genshin really has to show something on the screen. For example the last time an important character died was 3 years ago in inazuma, signora. Its always the recycled model npc's otherwise.

F2p player from day 1 here! you don't need to spend any money. I've fully gone through the game and the only things in game you would need to spend real world money to obtain is a few alternate costumes and the gnostic hymn rewards in battle pass. All completely optional as everything else can be obtained for free by just doing in game tasks. Don't stress about meta and be sure to hoard your primogems for characters you really want. You get 60 primos a day just for doing daily missions and doing that only takes like 15 minutes tops as they are simple tasks.

I know this is just a demo reaction video but here's some pointers from a day 1 player! I'll tone it down and not barrage you with paragraphs Pull for whoever you like/want. You don't need meta characters to progress, just learn the basics. Play at your own pace and don't be afraid to experiment with the characters! Great reaction to the game, much love!
Also learn the character playstyle and see if you like it Dont pull just because you like the character or because they are strong Thats what i always say to new players
Ditto this - pull for the characters you vibe with and that fit your playstyle, not the ones the community tells you are meta. Also Hoyo lets you test out characters on the banner before you pull for them and even rewards you for doing so, so absolutely do the test runs, fiddle around with them, and decide if you like the playstyle before you pull. Not only does that give you a chance to learn more about Genshin basics like reactions, but sometimes the characters that look and sound like they'll be fun to play aren't once you test them out, and the opposite true as well. Last advice, unless you're really struggling don't level up artifacts until you're rocking the 4-5 star ones, it's usually not worth it and those materials are better used on your final artifacts. And don't use up any five star artifacts for leveling others until you've got a really good feel for stats and artifact management, otherwise you could do what I did and burn off hundreds of good ones to level up mediocre artifacts because you didn't know what you were doing. Weapon and character leveling will be enough to get you to through to like adventure level 40 or so with no problem. Have fun!

You can TOTALLY play this game completely free. It's a matter of choosing the characters you want, and primogems management. Breaking out the wallet might make it faster, but if you have the patience, totally doable free-to-play. On that note, pick the characters that you like (do the character trails when they're out, to get a feel of the play style). Any character (4 star or not) can be strong if given the correct build. Any guides you read that say "MUST PULL" is a marketing gimmick to encourage people to pull out the cash, you can still finish the game without those "must pull' characters (the game is built in a way to be completely doable with only the characters they give you for free). The meta may make it convenient for shredding enemies and big pp damage, but what's the point if you don't enjoy the play style. In the end, enjoy the game how you want to. If there's one thing i'd advice is to have at least one built character from each element so that you'll have options with the elemental reactions. On another note, if you are okay with watching fanmade videos, the genshin community has made tons of amazing animations (note that not all are canon lorewise, so enjoy with a grain of salt). There are events like hoyofair where fans submit fanmade animations and the quality is top notch (sometimes they even get the actual VAs to voice them AND sing fanmade songs). Don't worry about having to video yourself reacting to those, there are ALOT of animations, and the copyright and perms might be tricky, but yea, just wanted to let you know these animations are very interesting, you'll probably enjoy those.
Xiangling may not have a dark backstory, but Guoba sure does. Yanfei is kind of a foil to the other adepti, including Ganyu. She was born pretty recently comparatively, so yeah most of her struggles just come from work, not personal trauma like everyone else lol.

So yes, Genshin Impact is a gacha game, but it's also very F2P-friendly. Sure, you can whale for your favorite characters if you want, but honestly, around 98% of players don’t spend heavily on every character. There's no need to worry about the game being a financial burden; you can fully enjoy it just by playing. If you do want to spend some money, a Welkin Moon or Battle Pass can be a great way to save up Primogems for the characters you want to pull for next.

I think you asked in the first video how long the content would be “10, 16 hours?” And I think all of us had a nice laugh with that 😂 16 hours wouldn’t even let you 100% Mondstadt. In fairness, Gold did give Albedo to Alice to raise, so he is technically Klee adopted brother. And also part of the squad who helps babysit Klee when Alice is being Alice.
I would recommend trying the character demo in the game before spending any real life money. (also once you progress in the story you can play character’s stories and try out other characters that aren’t on the banner). You can get primos and wishes by playing the game/adventuring around. I say this because often Genshin fans will push their favorite characters or the “meta” characters and often I see new players not playing the characters or dropping them shortly after getting them. I’ve seen this a LOT with Nahida in particular. She is a character that, unless you fully understand the meta/play style, isn’t that fun or easy to use. I get all characters just because, but even after a couple years I don’t use her. 🤷🏽♀️ Also some of the characters that are on some of the banners are characters from different lands, so it might be harder to level them up (Nahida is from Sumeru which is 3 whole nations always and it might be awhile until you can level her/fight her boss). If you are interested I could write a list of the characters based on nation or I’m sure there are spoiler free ones that are online. I’m enjoying the series, you’re hilarious and it was fun seeing you trying to to guess the characters names!
one thing about the regions monstadt is bases off germany liyue - china inazuma - japan sumeru -dar al islam, northern india, china, middle east, and north Africa (inconclusive, mostly middle east) fontaine - france & victorian england natlan - Philippines/africa (Philippines inconclusive) snezhnaya - russia this is why the characters designs/names and attack styles are relatively different from the next
You actually dont have to spend any money in this game, i’ve played since launch and I haven’t spent anything and I have all the characters I want. You get a lot of primogems from quests and exploration. I don’t know if anyone has explained the wish system yet, but I’ll explain it. First of all, don’t use primogems to wish on the standard banner because these characters are also available in the limited banners. There is a pity system on all banners, for the character banners it’s 90 wishes for a guaranteed 5* and for the weapons banner it’s 77 wishes iirc. Every 21 days two characters are made available on the limited banner, either a new one or a rerun. When you get a 5* on the limited banner it has a 50/50 chance of being the character on the banner. If you lose the 50/50 you get one of the characters from the standard banner and the next 5* you get will be guaranteed as the banner character. Since the game now has 6 nations, I would advise against getting the newest characters since it might take some more effort to get their materials.
As per the internet tradition, you should watch the version trailers next. Or you can watch each one right before you enter the arcs which would be a great way to hype yourself up. Your choice
Watching Hoyo demos and trailers is like being in a candy store with only a small pocketful of change. Everything looks enticing but you must pick and choose only the ones you like most or spend everything you have and have nothing to eat tonight. And if you think the Genshin demos look crazy, you should check out the ones for Hokai Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero. Both are Hoyo games that came out after Gesnhin so you know their demos are gonna be even more crazy. For the character demo OSTs, look up "Genshin Impact Character OST Album The Stellar Moments"; there are currently four of them. And finally, "weapons are sold separately," in Genshin.

A good idea would be to watch the miscellany videos of the characters that interest you so you can better understand how they work and whether they really suit your play style because as I said in your last gameplay video the characters have different playstyles and you may not like some even though you like the characters I for example don't like characters that depend on ultimate to cause damage and archers based on charged atk even though i like the personality of some of the characters that have those playstyles you should familiarize yourself with this before spending money and possibly regretting it

Don’t worry too much about spending money. The game is F2P friendly (free-2-play). You can even clear it even with 4 star chars. The 5 stars is available in a limited time, yes. BUT BUT BUT these 5 stars will be back(hopefully). There is a trial for characters that is available on whatever banner is currently available. You can test their play style before deciding if you want to pursue a character. We all have different feel for a character. Like how I don’t like how some characters don’t feel fast enough. ALSO.. Mihoyo have a playlist for the game music. They’re on the channel aaand on Spotify. Character music, version trailer music, game environmental music, special tracks from events. You might also enjoy the concerts in the future. 😊
I would just like to say when it comes to pronouncing these characters names just do remember that these characters are Asian based so there names are pronounced different (typically having either a stronger or shorter sound)
Ways to get primogems fast: - world quests - certain domains (i think the one near the entrance to mondstadt if i'm not mistaken) - unlocking chests, statues and teleport waypoints (tp's and statues will only give you five each) - endgame modes like the spiral abyss and imaginarium theory give plenty of primos - limited time events
You have to pull for Neuvillette. He is coming very soon, in about 40 days (with Zhongli). Neuvi is the strongest DPS in the game. Pair him with Zhongli, strongest shielder and you are cooking. Nothing stops Neuvi - except hydro slimes 😂 No spoilers of course but as a character Neuvillette is beyond cool - and super important. Don't miss him. And yes, Arlecchino is insane, she rocks.

I know this is just a demo reaction video but here's some pointers from a day 1 player! I'll tone it down and not barrage you with paragraphs
Pull for whoever you like/want. You don't need meta characters to progress, just learn the basics.
Play at your own pace and don't be afraid to experiment with the characters! Great reaction to the game, much love!
Also learn the character playstyle and see if you like it
Dont pull just because you like the character or because they are strong

Ditto this - pull for the characters you vibe with and that fit your playstyle, not the ones the community tells you are meta.
Also Hoyo lets you test out characters on the banner before you pull for them and even rewards you for doing so, so absolutely do the test runs, fiddle around with them, and decide if you like the playstyle before you pull. Not only does that give you a chance to learn more about Genshin basics like reactions, but sometimes the characters that look and sound like they'll be fun to play aren't once you test them out, and the opposite true as well.
Last advice, unless you're really struggling don't level up artifacts until you're rocking the 4-5 star ones, it's usually not worth it and those materials are better used on your final artifacts. And don't use up any five star artifacts for leveling others until you've got a really good feel for stats and artifact management, otherwise you could do what I did and burn off hundreds of good ones to level up mediocre artifacts because you didn't know what you were doing. Weapon and character leveling will be enough to get you to through to like adventure level 40 or so with no problem.

You can TOTALLY play this game completely free. It's a matter of choosing the characters you want, and primogems management. Breaking out the wallet might make it faster, but if you have the patience, totally doable free-to-play. On that note, pick the characters that you like (do the character trails when they're out, to get a feel of the play style). Any character (4 star or not) can be strong if given the correct build. Any guides you read that say "MUST PULL" is a marketing gimmick to encourage people to pull out the cash, you can still finish the game without those "must pull' characters (the game is built in a way to be completely doable with only the characters they give you for free). The meta may make it convenient for shredding enemies and big pp damage, but what's the point if you don't enjoy the play style. In the end, enjoy the game how you want to.
If there's one thing i'd advice is to have at least one built character from each element so that you'll have options with the elemental reactions.
On another note, if you are okay with watching fanmade videos, the genshin community has made tons of amazing animations (note that not all are canon lorewise, so enjoy with a grain of salt). There are events like hoyofair where fans submit fanmade animations and the quality is top notch (sometimes they even get the actual VAs to voice them AND sing fanmade songs). Don't worry about having to video yourself reacting to those, there are ALOT of animations, and the copyright and perms might be tricky, but yea, just wanted to let you know these animations are very interesting, you'll probably enjoy those.

Xiangling may not have a dark backstory, but Guoba sure does. Yanfei is kind of a foil to the other adepti, including Ganyu. She was born pretty recently comparatively, so yeah most of her struggles just come from work, not personal trauma like everyone else lol.

So yes, Genshin Impact is a gacha game, but it's also very F2P-friendly. Sure, you can whale for your favorite characters if you want, but honestly, around 98% of players don’t spend heavily on every character. There's no need to worry about the game being a financial burden; you can fully enjoy it just by playing. If you do want to spend some money, a Welkin Moon or Battle Pass can be a great way to save up Primogems for the characters you want to pull for next.

The fandom sees Albedo and Klee as brother and sister, since Klee's mom explores everywhere, leaving Klee in the Knight of Favonius' care.
In fairness, Gold did give Albedo to Alice to raise, so he is technically Klee adopted brother. And also part of the squad who helps babysit Klee when Alice is being Alice.

If you want the character osts from the demos theyre all on spotify (up to Furinas) The albums are called stellar moments
I would recommend trying the character demo in the game before spending any real life money. (also once you progress in the story you can play character’s stories and try out other characters that aren’t on the banner). You can get primos and wishes by playing the game/adventuring around.
I say this because often Genshin fans will push their favorite characters or the “meta” characters and often I see new players not playing the characters or dropping them shortly after getting them. I’ve seen this a LOT with Nahida in particular. She is a character that, unless you fully understand the meta/play style, isn’t that fun or easy to use. I get all characters just because, but even after a couple years I don’t use her. 🤷🏽♀️
Also some of the characters that are on some of the banners are characters from different lands, so it might be harder to level them up (Nahida is from Sumeru which is 3 whole nations always and it might be awhile until you can level her/fight her boss). If you are interested I could write a list of the characters based on nation or I’m sure there are spoiler free ones that are online.

You actually dont have to spend any money in this game, i’ve played since launch and I haven’t spent anything and I have all the characters I want. You get a lot of primogems from quests and exploration.
I don’t know if anyone has explained the wish system yet, but I’ll explain it. First of all, don’t use primogems to wish on the standard banner because these characters are also available in the limited banners. There is a pity system on all banners, for the character banners it’s 90 wishes for a guaranteed 5* and for the weapons banner it’s 77 wishes iirc. Every 21 days two characters are made available on the limited banner, either a new one or a rerun. When you get a 5* on the limited banner it has a 50/50 chance of being the character on the banner. If you lose the 50/50 you get one of the characters from the standard banner and the next 5* you get will be guaranteed as the banner character.
Since the game now has 6 nations, I would advise against getting the newest characters since it might take some more effort to get their materials.
As per the internet tradition, you should watch the version trailers next. Or you can watch each one right before you enter the arcs which would be a great way to hype yourself up. Your choice
Watching Hoyo demos and trailers is like being in a candy store with only a small pocketful of change. Everything looks enticing but you must pick and choose only the ones you like most or spend everything you have and have nothing to eat tonight. And if you think the Genshin demos look crazy, you should check out the ones for Hokai Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero. Both are Hoyo games that came out after Gesnhin so you know their demos are gonna be even more crazy.
For the character demo OSTs, look up "Genshin Impact Character OST Album The Stellar Moments"; there are currently four of them. And finally, "weapons are sold separately," in Genshin.

I for example don't like characters that depend on ultimate to cause damage and archers based on charged atk even though i like the personality of some of the characters that have those playstyles

Ways to get primogems fast:
- world quests
- certain domains (i think the one near the entrance to mondstadt if i'm not mistaken)
- unlocking chests, statues and teleport waypoints (tp's and statues will only give you five each)
- endgame modes like the spiral abyss and imaginarium theory give plenty of primos
- limited time events
You have to pull for Neuvillette. He is coming very soon, in about 40 days (with Zhongli). Neuvi is the strongest DPS in the game. Pair him with Zhongli, strongest shielder and you are cooking. Nothing stops Neuvi - except hydro slimes 😂
No spoilers of course but as a character Neuvillette is beyond cool - and super important. Don't miss him.
