Yes and it will be like that even this time. I heard the devs posted an apology where they promised to improve the communication and provide compensation. First of all, I don't believe that they will improve communication. Second of all, if they talked about "compensation" then it means it's gonna be just more pulls. Nothing else.

while I dont care about the rewards, I'll just pay for the character I want but I genuinely thought the reason they gave less pulls for 1st anni was that they were giving them a lower base to ramp up 2nd anni's rewards and the same for the following ones. eg. 1st anni base banner 5 star, 10 pulls then 2nd anni is base banner 5 star or base banner weapon and 10-20pulls 3rd anni would be 30 pulls and a 5 star ticket etc. but how wrong that idea was
I always found it funny how people would defend Genshin by saying that character and weapon banners are good content just because the game is free. I have invested lots of hours and money into this game and at the end of the day the developers have shown that they do not care for old players and care less for new players. The game felt magical when I first played it but as time passed* and I got deeper into the game, I just like many others realized that the game is really lacking in content specially end game content.

I’ve been seeing more smaller Genshin CCs starting to speak their opinions on the matter which I greatly appreciate, we need more voices. What I really don’t like is seeing backlash in their comment section from these Genshin stans and white knights attacking the CC and others for pointing out the obvious truth, or hell, attacking a smaller CC because he/she thanked Tectone for speaking out. Nobody is saying that you can’t enjoy Genshin Impact, you can still like this game (I do too), but we can’t continue to promote this “everything is fine mentality” in this community.

Genshin CC needs the chinese seal of approval to voice their opinions on the matter, they are coming like cockroaches, never once before have they said anything bad about this game, but now that the chinese people did it, they feel like they can do it. You even had people like doro44 praising the patch for being “incredible” despite not having anything special about it at all, it’s just the same patch they had a month ago with a different banner. Genshin players have been getting cucked by their team of developers since day 1 and almost no one ever spoke out, where were these people on every other disappointing patch?
Tectone has been doing this for years with 0 fears and taking all the hate from the community. The content creators always come around when the Chinese playerbase say something. They’ll go back into hiding again when this is over & we only get 1600 primos with no real changes.

Honkai impact has reached the point where they have a battle pass that lets you collect S-rankers (their 5*s) like candy for comparatively way less money. The longer these games go, the easier it should be to acquire the content, if only because there's so much more in the game that it becomes unreasonable to expect players to shell out full price for everything, but also to reward loyalty and retain players who've been in it for years and might be risking burnout.
Exactly I fail to see how the game is new player friendly the way it is now. Not only do you have a shit ton of reruns you wanna get because everyone tells you how great they are but new ones get added too. Just get a five star every patch while also saving enough for your favorite oh and new ones from Fontaine and Natlan are on the way. If you're an older player and have been playing for a year or two, you've played through more events and primos in order to obtain characters. You can't expect someone who jiust picked up the game within a few months to get even half the amount a veteran would have without shelling money.

The people who say "why are you comparing the two" cant see that both games literally have the exact same gacha system. Regardless of gameplay, more rewards in the same system will obviously make people talk.

"Has the exact same gacha system" For characters, yes, for weapons, no. In starrail, weapon banner is pretty much the same as character, but it's 80 pity, and 75/25 for the one you want (75% chance for the rate up). After you fail 75/25 once, it's guaranteed. AND it carries over across banners, like the character banner. In genshin, you have to get two copies of something you don't want before you get the guarantee. And fate points don't carr over. TL:DR Starrail's weapon gacha is better.

My first language is spanish and I watch some spanish genshin content creators, they literally addressed this the moment it came out, literally like 1 hour after or so. I saw at least 5 videos from different people. They are not afraid of criticize the game's faults like the lack of content for veteran players, bad rewards, etc. I was literally flabbergasted that not a SINGLE english speaking content creator was talking about this issue. NONE. Until I saw your video and was like "well, at least SOMEONE is saying something" and after that I saw a few more english content creators do it. So I'm glad you are raising your voice so other people can also do it. People are not happy with the game and hoyoverse needs to address it.

I love how Dokkan Battle used to do this. They gave a set number of the equivalent of intertwined fates, and then you got a bonus which was a percentage of the amount you spent that year. So everyone got something, and they were never stingy.
Imo, memorial stones are some of the best things they've ever added. Sure, for the returning player it wouldn't matter much since they wouldn't have spent like, any stones, but they'd also have so many stones to farm from that missed period of content that it honestly makes up for it.

the new zone is high quality tho and I can make the same points about Hsr who planets are like half the production cost of a genshin region but thats not the problem genshin has is they just have to give more rewards that I agree on, but dont downplay the game beacuase you didnt get more pulls
@@savy1690Genshin has no endgame content though. You can argue that exploration is a lot of content but it doesn’t utilize your characters which is what endgame content usually does. I have pulled like 40 5 stars(including standard banner cons from losing 50/50 and my C6 Raiden) but I have nothing to play them in besides spiral abyss and the combat events that take 1 minute to complete. Genshin isn’t a bad game but it lacks content that utilizes your roster(which is usually endgame) and rewards ofc. I would be happy even if they just made exploration harder by increasing mob difficulty and increasing chest rewards so it would actually feel rewarding beating overworld monsters and getting chests.

My 2 cents - Players have a right to feel disappointed / angry; they should voice their concerns by voicing it in surveys / publicly / review bombing; or better yet, stop spending / playing (actions speak louder than words, etc.) - They should not attack other players / community for being overly positive (sorry Teccy, don't agree with you even though you were attacked personally by such people, just on principle); that's just diverting attention from the real cause / instigator (ie. HYV); it plays into HYV's play-dead strategy in order to turn a dev-player conflict into a player-player civil war - If you want to be positive then just stay positive and continue to enjoy to the game, no need to brigade other players for being over negative / toxic (you're not changing their mind, they will take offence, also see above) - Players should not brigade CC's to also speak up (but good on IWTL to do so on his own accord); they have their livelihoods at stake and there is a history already of HYV deciding to blackball CC who 'speak up' - There is no need to attack other players in other regions or claim server favourtism; everybody wants to say they're not the favorite child; the reality is, every1 is on same page hoping for a better gaming experience, you only have a chance to get what you fight for As for me, been welkin since 2021. Am planning to stop until further notice. But this is more a 'camel back getting broken' rather than this specific issue
Ive heard others making videos on how everyone getting a free 5* would make them feel like getting one is less special, which is the dumbest and self involved thing to think. But to add on to what you’re saying, its crazy how even getting a 5* comes with its own battles like, do i really have the time and resin to build a character from scratch, more resin to farm the next 2-3 years for artifacts that aren’t perfect and will have to manually swap one by one. People who play this game deserve so much more than a 5*. Additional free resin, UI updates, endgame content, transparency, and more. They have created to many problems within problems that even their “reward” for dealing with it presents its own problems.

Major Quality of Life changes the game *NEEDS* 1. Dehya needs to be straight up Fluffing Overhauled. So does Qiqi, Aloy Needs her Cons. period or she should be removed from the game entirely as she Cannot be built to reach her full potential due to a lack of Cons. 2. ALL PYRO Units need Knockback REMOVED & Swapped out with STUN or MORE BURN, Resistance to their OWN Pyro Self Burn and to deal significantly MORE Damage because lets be Real FIRE IS a Destructive Force of Nature. If a Pyro unit uses explosives or causes Burn they need their Radius of effect Doubled, to possibly Tripled in Klee's case. When the Archon that Element's Vision is linked to is legit the Goddess of War than that speaks volumes of how destructive Pyro Characters SHOULD be. 3. All Older Characters Need their damage numbers brought to be at least Viable with the current characters, their Utility and Supportive functions also need to also be boosted to keep them relevant, otherwise players will refuse to invest further. 4. Events should be made repeatable, their rewards obtainable for anyone who wasn't able to obtain them, Cinematics, and a Summary of the most notable events should be added to the Archives Tab. All PREVIOUS Event Weapons & Pets should be added into the Paimon Shop Rotation. 5. Loadouts should be split into brackets with the player being the one to create and save their OWN loadouts per Character. 6. Improvements to RAM requirements, and Memory storage needs this is a Major Technical issue on smaller devices such as iPhones and Mobile Devices not everyone is rich enough to afford a console or Gaming PC. That's one of the reasons F2p STAY F2p right? 7 Increases to Daily Primogem Rewards each one should be 50 or 100 Primogems PERIOD. Also, the Allotted number of Dailies that can be done should be increased to 10, 1 weekly rewarding 500 Primogems and 1 Monthly rewarding a Guaranteed 10 pull of Fates. 8. Improvements to Overworld & Event Chest Rewards, At AR 40+ Chests should be given the option to drop orange tier Gear or Weapon Billets. 9. Every 10 AR Ranked Rewards should Grant a Major Boon, to the Player's account, with the AR 10 Offers a 4* Weapon, AR 20 Offers a 4* Character Selector AR 30 Offers a Pet that Buffs Party member Exp and Gold Drops, AR 40 Drops a 5* Standard Character Selector, AR 50 Drops a 5* Standard Weapon Selector, AR 60 Drops a Paimon Pet that grants Team wide buffs, upgrade discounts, and the ability to cut ALL Stamina usage by 25%-30% for the player and 5% for each Party member in C0-0P. 10. All Boss and Ascension Mats that are Normally Area Locked should be Convertible for EVERY Region in the Crafting Bench, this will allow characters from different regions to be upgradeable thus removing an annoying issue Newer players face. 11. Add more Permanent C0-0P Modes We WANT to Play with OUR Friends. 12. Adding the Ability Swap Elements Whilst in Combat or For Puzzle solving as the Traveler without the NEED to swap Visions at the stupid Seven towers even if it's just temporary would be a massive improvement. 13. Actually Making the Pyro Goddess of War Stronger than Bennett and SUPERIOR in Utility . 14. Additional "End Game" Modes Both for Solo Players and C0-0P players such as team Survival, or Escalation modes for example. The deeper down the rabbit hole you go the Better the Loot you bring out of it. 15. Rideable animal Mounts teleporting is nice and all but sometimes we just don't want to constantly be in the damn map selection screen it's fluffing annoying. Being able to "Quick-Swap" between 4 parties using the D-pad or whatever is the equivalent on PC, it would cut out the loading b.s. and having to search between loadouts all the time.
I would add that there shouldn't be different so many different upgrade material for weapons and talents. Just one based per weapon type or where the weapon was originally crafted in and one per character nationality.
Dehya needs a lot more than damage multipliers. Her burst quite literally does not function in most of the game’s content. It should not be an automatic burst for going off for that long of a duration. It should be Iike Itto’s burst and be manual so she can synergistic with more characters as well as having the burst function in the overworld and basic content so she can hit things.
I stopped playing genshin after 2 years of playing daily for 8-9 hours The grind to reward ratio became too much and anniversary patch presents just sealed the deal for me to stop and leave the game till its completed
IWTL makes the absolute best guides in the gacha space in my opinion. He gives well explained examples with actual spreadsheets for weapons and constellations with percentages for how much something will improve damage along with a rating for how worth it something is.
Well of course. HSI hasn’t even been out for a year and we already got a free limit 5* who’s actually really fucking strong. We are in Three years of Genshin impact and they are like “ here’s three wishes.” I’m pretty sure they did that to spit in our face and just to be assholes.
this is so insane how people only get 3 fking wishes while in nikke (also an incredibly successful gacha game) for example gave 50 - 60 SPECIAL tickets (which literally equates to 60 wishes in genshin) on its anni AND also gives 10 special AND 20 normal banner tickets every time a new character is being released (the rates are also much higher as well). if anyone says genshin is not stingy and has not horrible drop rates, is in full on denial. also do I have to mention honkai star rail? lmao.

Man, I really wish resin in Genshin could be accumulated like in Honkai Star Rail, that's like the only thing I always think about. With all the new charas, all the new artifact sets that sometimes are far better for a character that you have already built... It amazes me how there has been no change in the resin system after all this time lmao

I’ve played Hatsune Miku Colorful Stage, and the amount of free stuff you get there is insane. I basically managed to get pretty much all the characters I wanted within just a few weeks of casual gameplay. Unfortunately they have started putting ads in the game so I don’t think it’s nearly as profitable as Genshin. Regardless, as you said, it wouldn’t hurt a multi-billion dollar company to be a little more generous. Besides, when things like the rewards are just copied and pasted year after year, there is no excitement as we already know what’s coming. Time to stop resting on your laurels Hoyoverse!
Ya, went and followed him. People have let Genshin get away with way too much bullshit. I believe the root cause is people not respecting themselves anymore or not even realising that Hoyoverse is abusing them, stealing their time and money and giving less than the minimum in return. I hope this time everyone stays the course and real change happens. I invested a lot of time into Genshin Impact but couldn't anymore stopped while ago, I haven't even been to Fountain.
I hate some people in this community, I truly do, when I talked back about how Dehya were bad and she should get fixed some people were like: just pull for other characters, and when I talked about this anniversary they said just spend money why do you care about free stuff, like how low are you putting yourself in order to defend a multi-billion dollar company that doesn't know you even exist.

it boggles the mind just how much people respond with "you just want free shit, free game btw, how far should a free game go in giving you free shit" and the answer is, yes, we do want free shit. because that's how you make gachas f2p friendly. that's how you make gachas in general. SO many gachas out there have way better over time and event rewards than genshin, as well as upgrade systems so your old units don't feel like ass. hell, so many gachas have way better anniversary rewards than genshin - free 5*/SSR/SSR+ units or a selector, huge events that give more than just a 10 pull, etc. them doing less because they can get away with it, and making so much money in the process feels kinda scummy. now, I'm not a genshin doomer or anything and I actually love the game a lot, but it sucks to feel like you can barely make progress saving for characters. at least make it possible to get between 1-2 guaranteed 5*s per patch, the experience would be so much improved.

He is referring to the fact that Cai Haoyu is the producer of Genshin and was previously in control of HI3. When he was in charge of the game, the rewards use to be dog shit like GI. He then later got replaced by Davi Jang, who later took over HSR, and the rewards started to get much better. Mihoyo can't get rid of him because he owns 41% of the company.@@Lightstation_
More than a free 5-star I would like to see true end-game content, but as seen on the blog last year ago. They think it's anxiety inducing for the community to add difficult combat content. Which is insane to me. Remember HSR added pure fiction? That's like 6 free pulls every 2-3 weeks if you complete that mode. IF only they add a new spiral abyss of sorts, like the dungeon rogue event we had in Inazuma with Childe and Thoma. That was pure FUN! Just add new innovative stuff like that. It's almost been 4 friggin' years.
Hoyo will be having a hard time tackling this drama, best they can do is slip in the 5 star selector (which majority wants) silently in the mail when the patch drops.

Probably won’t read this but, you do realize the the brown skinned characters are the most shafted characters in Genshin besides amber and qiqi. • Kaeya: jack of all trades master or mid damage numbers, you can use him on teams but there’s better Cryo application units. • Xinyan: the unit whose kit doesn’t know what it wants to do. Scale for defense get strong shield who’s level 3 is bugged. Does pyro damage that scales off attack but has a burst that does physical damage. • Candace: drip queen, leader of a village, protector of the her village in the desert, the 5 star shutter-upper (shut•ter•up•er) but she’s a 4star. I have some high scaling normals but they’re slow but it’s okay I’m support anyways. • Cyno: drake? The general of the mahamatra, feared by the desert criminals and treasure hoarders alike. Got his shirt off but has no abs of definition. Who useless outside of his burst, stiff polearm animation. Who’s burst wants you to stay of the field as long as a Fontaine character with really no other unit who’s buff(s) can last as long as he can. (Except one) and to top it all off he’s pretty much only good with dendro. • Dehya: “the strongest eremite” the one character with a GREAT design that was highly sought after. Just for her to become a free unit (which makes no sense) whose damage can be compared to 4stars. Her burst literally takes control away from you to put you on a train rail punching simulator that stops if you jump out of your seat. YES you can can cancel the burst if you jump so I hope you don’t get frozen mid burst. Her trailer was a complete joke, repeating frames and repeatedly repeating punches I’d say more about the trailer but that was pretty much it. Their signature weapons look like dried shit with cracks in it. • extra complaints: I feel like dori should’ve been black just because her kit is just as confused as xinyan’s is and her design as well IN MY OPINION of course. Lately it's been adjusted that genshin being stingy because of the game's current producer who was also the producer of honkai impact and honkai was not just stingy but also a bad game and when he stepped out the game changed forever and had all Qol features that needed and tons of rewards and it happens that the new producer is also the current producer of HSR while genshin still has the same producer I mentioned
Well the difference is the Producer. Yes HI3, HSR and GI are from the same company but the comparaison actually stops there. HI3 and HSR are from produced by David Jiang, who actually knows how to make a game and keep a community happy. The difference of image is day and night between Honkai games and Genshin Impact.
4star selectors should not be new year exclusive either, every region has a festival. might as well give us regional seasonal rosters to choose from. In my humble opinion. Imagine the retention of the playerbase out of the hope of a free amber. 💔
im a cn player and i quit the game back in 3.8. but when i saw the spinning video of neuv at bilibili, i immediately jumped back and checked what IWTL said about the issue. i can tell you when the game is going the wrong direction, it's hardcore players who know it first. and for those hiding their heads in the sands and play duck, you know they aren't past their first year yet.
Hopefully people are starting to understand that they should not be afraid to speak the truth. there will be always bad apples trying to cancel every cc that they disagree with. A standard banner 5* would be the best and the most reasonable thing. The standard banner units aside from dehya,qiqi and mona are acually quite good and they are meta (diluc will be after xianyuns release).
Since its Lantern Rite I would prefer a Liyue 5* selector. Barely anyone gets happy over standard banner 5* because you get them eventually. I would take my first Keqing but do I want her? no. Yelan or Xiao on the other hand would be very welcome.

He should be your indirect free archon every time they introduce a new region. His anemo tornado 🌪️ should be as big as venti arrow and slowly moves. His geo should have been a shield just as tanky as zongli, electro should have givin energy at the same rate as raiden shogun, his dendro should have buffed teams at the rate as nahida. He should have also been able to summon a water avatar like water archon. What I really don’t like is seeing backlash in their comment section from these Genshin stans and white knights attacking the CC and others for pointing out the obvious truth, or hell, attacking a smaller CC because he/she thanked Tectone for speaking out.

Honkai impact has reached the point where they have a battle pass that lets you collect S-rankers (their 5*s) like candy for comparatively way less money. In starrail, weapon banner is pretty much the same as character, but it's 80 pity, and 75/25 for the one you want (75% chance for the rate up). After you fail 75/25 once, it's guaranteed. AND it carries over across banners, like the character banner.
In genshin, you have to get two copies of something you don't want before you get the guarantee. And fate points don't carr over.
TL:DR Starrail's weapon gacha is better.

My first language is spanish and I watch some spanish genshin content creators, they literally addressed this the moment it came out, literally like 1 hour after or so. I saw at least 5 videos from different people. They are not afraid of criticize the game's faults like the lack of content for veteran players, bad rewards, etc. I was literally flabbergasted that not a SINGLE english speaking content creator was talking about this issue. Imo, memorial stones are some of the best things they've ever added. Sure, for the returning player it wouldn't matter much since they wouldn't have spent like, any stones, but they'd also have so many stones to farm from that missed period of content that it honestly makes up for it.

@@savy1690Genshin has no endgame content though. You can argue that exploration is a lot of content but it doesn’t utilize your characters which is what endgame content usually does. I have pulled like 40 5 stars(including standard banner cons from losing 50/50 and my C6 Raiden) but I have nothing to play them in besides spiral abyss and the combat events that take 1 minute to complete. Genshin isn’t a bad game but it lacks content that utilizes your roster(which is usually endgame) and rewards ofc. I would be happy even if they just made exploration harder by increasing mob difficulty and increasing chest rewards so it would actually feel rewarding beating overworld monsters and getting chests.

- Players have a right to feel disappointed / angry; they should voice their concerns by voicing it in surveys / publicly / review bombing; or better yet, stop spending / playing (actions speak louder than words, etc.)
- They should not attack other players / community for being overly positive (sorry Teccy, don't agree with you even though you were attacked personally by such people, just on principle); that's just diverting attention from the real cause / instigator (ie. HYV); it plays into HYV's play-dead strategy in order to turn a dev-player conflict into a player-player civil war
- If you want to be positive then just stay positive and continue to enjoy to the game, no need to brigade other players for being over negative / toxic (you're not changing their mind, they will take offence, also see above)
- Players should not brigade CC's to also speak up (but good on IWTL to do so on his own accord); they have their livelihoods at stake and there is a history already of HYV deciding to blackball CC who 'speak up'
- There is no need to attack other players in other regions or claim server favourtism; everybody wants to say they're not the favorite child; the reality is, every1 is on same page hoping for a better gaming experience, you only have a chance to get what you fight for

Ive heard others making videos on how everyone getting a free 5* would make them feel like getting one is less special, which is the dumbest and self involved thing to think.
But to add on to what you’re saying, its crazy how even getting a 5* comes with its own battles like, do i really have the time and resin to build a character from scratch, more resin to farm the next 2-3 years for artifacts that aren’t perfect and will have to manually swap one by one. People who play this game deserve so much more than a 5*. Additional free resin, UI updates, endgame content, transparency, and more. They have created to many problems within problems that even their “reward” for dealing with it presents its own problems.
I recommend IWTL guides on both genshin and star rail. His calculations are insane and a good guidance for anyone wondering about how sets/eidolons/lc's compare

Major Quality of Life changes the game *NEEDS*
1. Dehya needs to be straight up Fluffing Overhauled. So does Qiqi, Aloy Needs her Cons. period or she should be removed from the game entirely as she Cannot be built to reach her full potential due to a lack of Cons.
2. ALL PYRO Units need Knockback REMOVED & Swapped out with STUN or MORE BURN, Resistance to their OWN Pyro Self Burn and to deal significantly MORE Damage because lets be Real FIRE IS a Destructive Force of Nature. If a Pyro unit uses explosives or causes Burn they need their Radius of effect Doubled, to possibly Tripled in Klee's case. When the Archon that Element's Vision is linked to is legit the Goddess of War than that speaks volumes of how destructive Pyro Characters SHOULD be.
3. All Older Characters Need their damage numbers brought to be at least Viable with the current characters, their Utility and Supportive functions also need to also be boosted to keep them relevant, otherwise players will refuse to invest further.

AR 10 Offers a 4* Weapon, AR 20 Offers a 4* Character Selector AR 30 Offers a Pet that Buffs Party member Exp and Gold Drops, AR 40 Drops a 5* Standard Character Selector, AR 50 Drops a 5* Standard Weapon Selector, AR 60 Drops a Paimon Pet that grants Team wide buffs, upgrade discounts, and the ability to cut ALL Stamina usage by 25%-30% for the player and 5% for each Party member in C0-0P.
10. All Boss and Ascension Mats that are Normally Area Locked should be Convertible for EVERY Region in the Crafting Bench, this will allow characters from different regions to be upgradeable thus removing an annoying issue Newer players face.
11. Add more Permanent C0-0P Modes We WANT to Play with OUR Friends.
12. Adding the Ability Swap Elements Whilst in Combat or For Puzzle solving as the Traveler without the NEED to swap Visions at the stupid Seven towers even if it's just temporary would be a massive improvement.
13. Actually Making the Pyro Goddess of War Stronger than Bennett and SUPERIOR in Utility .
14. Additional "End Game" Modes Both for Solo Players and C0-0P players such as team Survival, or Escalation modes for example. The deeper down the rabbit hole you go the Better the Loot you bring out of it.
15. Rideable animal Mounts teleporting is nice and all but sometimes we just don't want to constantly be in the damn map selection screen it's fluffing annoying. Being able to "Quick-Swap" between 4 parties using the D-pad or whatever is the equivalent on PC, it would cut out the loading b.s. and having to search between loadouts all the time.
I would add that there shouldn't be different so many different upgrade material for weapons and talents. Just one based per weapon type or where the weapon was originally crafted in and one per character nationality.
Dehya needs a lot more than damage multipliers. Her burst quite literally does not function in most of the game’s content. It should not be an automatic burst for going off for that long of a duration. It should be Iike Itto’s burst and be manual so she can synergistic with more characters as well as having the burst function in the overworld and basic content so she can hit things.

The grind to reward ratio became too much and anniversary patch presents just sealed the deal for me to stop and leave the game till its completed
IWTL makes the absolute best guides in the gacha space in my opinion. He gives well explained examples with actual spreadsheets for weapons and constellations with percentages for how much something will improve damage along with a rating for how worth it something is.

this is so insane how people only get 3 fking wishes while in nikke (also an incredibly successful gacha game) for example gave 50 - 60 SPECIAL tickets (which literally equates to 60 wishes in genshin) on its anni AND also gives 10 special AND 20 normal banner tickets every time a new character is being released (the rates are also much higher as well). if anyone says genshin is not stingy and has not horrible drop rates, is in full on denial. also do I have to mention honkai star rail? lmao.

I’ve played Hatsune Miku Colorful Stage, and the amount of free stuff you get there is insane. I basically managed to get pretty much all the characters I wanted within just a few weeks of casual gameplay. Unfortunately they have started putting ads in the game so I don’t think it’s nearly as profitable as Genshin. Regardless, as you said, it wouldn’t hurt a multi-billion dollar company to be a little more generous. Besides, when things like the rewards are just copied and pasted year after year, there is no excitement as we already know what’s coming. Time to stop resting on your laurels Hoyoverse!

I believe the root cause is people not respecting themselves anymore or not even realising that Hoyoverse is abusing them, stealing their time and money and giving less than the minimum in return. SO many gachas out there have way better over time and event rewards than genshin, as well as upgrade systems so your old units don't feel like ass. hell, so many gachas have way better anniversary rewards than genshin - free 5*/SSR/SSR+ units or a selector, huge events that give more than just a 10 pull, etc. them doing less because they can get away with it, and making so much money in the process feels kinda scummy.
now, I'm not a genshin doomer or anything and I actually love the game a lot, but it sucks to feel like you can barely make progress saving for characters. at least make it possible to get between 1-2 guaranteed 5*s per patch, the experience would be so much improved.

More than a free 5-star I would like to see true end-game content, but as seen on the blog last year ago. They think it's anxiety inducing for the community to add difficult combat content. Which is insane to me. Remember HSR added pure fiction? That's like 6 free pulls every 2-3 weeks if you complete that mode. IF only they add a new spiral abyss of sorts, like the dungeon rogue event we had in Inazuma with Childe and Thoma. That was pure FUN! Just add new innovative stuff like that. Probably won’t read this but, you do realize the the brown skinned characters are the most shafted characters in Genshin besides amber and qiqi.
• Kaeya: jack of all trades master or mid damage numbers, you can use him on teams but there’s better Cryo application units.
• Xinyan: the unit whose kit doesn’t know what it wants to do. Scale for defense get strong shield who’s level 3 is bugged. Does pyro damage that scales off attack but has a burst that does physical damage.
• Candace: drip queen, leader of a village, protector of the her village in the desert, the 5 star shutter-upper (shut•ter•up•er) but she’s a 4star. I have some high scaling normals but they’re slow but it’s okay I’m support anyways.
• Cyno: drake? The general of the mahamatra, feared by the desert criminals and treasure hoarders alike. Got his shirt off but has no abs of definition. Who useless outside of his burst, stiff polearm animation. Who’s burst wants you to stay of the field as long as a Fontaine character with really no other unit who’s buff(s) can last as long as he can. (Except one) and to top it all off he’s pretty much only good with dendro.
• Dehya: “the strongest eremite” the one character with a GREAT design that was highly sought after. Just for her to become a free unit (which makes no sense) whose damage can be compared to 4stars. Her burst literally takes control away from you to put you on a train rail punching simulator that stops if you jump out of your seat. YES you can can cancel the burst if you jump so I hope you don’t get frozen mid burst. Her trailer was a complete joke, repeating frames and repeatedly repeating punches I’d say more about the trailer but that was pretty much it. Their signature weapons look like dried shit with cracks in it.

Probably once the 2.0 and 2.1 update for hsr comes out, most people won't really pay attention to what genshin does anyway since the hype for 2.0 and 2.1 update will be coming soon.
A standard banner 5* would be the best and the most reasonable thing. The standard banner units aside from dehya,qiqi and mona are acually quite good and they are meta (diluc will be after xianyuns release).
Since its Lantern Rite I would prefer a Liyue 5* selector. Barely anyone gets happy over standard banner 5* because you get them eventually. I would take my first Keqing but do I want her? no. Yelan or Xiao on the other hand would be very welcome.
