I got one story! 20 years ago...first hardcore experience with D2. Mostly 2-man co-op. My teammate and I clawed our way to around level 80. Then, 1 fateful day, while exterminating Diablo's minions with great prejudice, my Bone Necro "teammate" trapped me in an angry pack of mobs with Bone Wall. Although I don't remember every character I've lost in hardcore, for VJ the 1st, his deeds continue to be remembered.
Demons in Diablo cannot ever die for good. When you slay them, their essence returns to hell and they will reform. That's what's happening to Mephisto in D4, and the same is happening to the other two since their essences were all realeased from the black soulstone simultaneously.
D4 got a bad rap because streamers who never even played D2. I genuinely put D4 up there with D2 in quality these days. It’s grown on me and it grew on me way beyond the “acceptance” I felt for D3. It has the QOL of D3 with the features and feel of D2 and an upgraded D2 aesthetic. We actually had an endgame day one for this game. Yeah it was just hell tides, Lilith and nightmare dungeons, but what did the last games have at launch? Play the campaign again and again and again, and there were streamers saying it had less than D3? As far as the story: I didn’t like Neyrelle whatsoever, arrogant, ignorant, huge hubris. Now she’s foolishly taking Mephisto where he wants to go presumably and is leaving a path of destruction in her wake… who knew?? ALL OF US KNEW! Yet our characters and LORATH let her. It seemed they genuinely wanted us to think letting Lilith live was the best option and we chose wrong when killing her so that pissed me off a little when she’s lecturing me before she dies. The fake “choice” at the end, obviously I would NEVER have told Neyrelle to put a prime evil that can manipulate soul stones in a soul stone yet Blizzard felt this is something we’d just roll with even though most of us played D2. And Loraths apathy at the end, makes no sense and literally is just because the wait for DLC. NO TYRAEL. Not even a grave, a tapestry, a journal, nothing. I may not have enjoyed D3 that much but I did like the story and wanted to see those marks left on the world and other than a few similar locations, there’s nothing. Other than that and the fact they didn’t give me a cinematic in between each act D4 has all the pieces to replace D2, which is all I could reasonably expect from a Diablo sequel.
D2 was great for sure, but D4 is up there as well, so many people complaining about D4 but im like "Im just glad its not D3" i felt so bamboozled when i bought that gone long time ago.
In this case giving antagonists a character progression is the right path so that players wil have empathy to them. It's just like Thanos effect where he go decimate people and some viewers understand why he did that.
Diablo is probably the final boss of the final expansion. Since in the last two games he wasn't the actual final boss, since the expansions added acts.
If they spent the money into an actual endgame instead of those useless cinematics, the game would actually be fun to play. Instead they decided to invest all their money into a story, which you can finish in a couple of hours, and then it another week or two you're done with end game and that's it. The moral of the story is: if you decide to invest into the story, don't try to make an MMO on top of it, if you don't have any resources for that. If you're decided to go with the MMO, invest into end-game and post campaign content instead of "awesome cinematics" people will watch once and forget about them.
I'm no geologist but one thing I hate about diablo 4 is that they retconned a snowy area into a place where it shouldnt be impossible, the map of sanctuary you showed near the start clearly showed no snowy area between, a humid swamp, a desert and a wet plains which was also retconned from a forest with dense trees. They're also never bringing the amazon back as that's gender locked to woman only.

Playing D4 is like watching a painting come to life. It’s awesome
The new class looks like an half shaman half Amazon dude, he's probably gonna have spear as main weapon
Hes scattered to the winds or hes reforming in his own realm of hell

Like the video my guy! Keep up the good edits and script & your audience will grow

It needs endgame group content like raid equivalents before it can be considered an mmo
mephisto is cooking something, maybe a plot like ressurecting his brothers again?? mephisto is tricky😅
"cooking"...Saying that is utter cancer.
They are already reforming in hell, just like Mephisto was.

Diablo coming in final expansion.
Designed by a former gambler 😂😂😂 ....nailed it 😂
Im an open world enjoyer, but D4 has no business being open world. It serves no purpose.
Mephisto is coming travincal to invoke Diablo
actually released to raving reviews
A year and a half? It was June 5th lmao
Not Diablo 4, it's lilith 1
Ngl Diablo 3 was more fun to play 💀

Don't talk rubbish about the cinematics. The cinematics are probably the best part of the entire franchise.
Turned it off at 4 minutes when it was clear the the answer to the question as going to be buried deep into the video. Feels like a waste of time.
