    I love that cargo bike I just wish they reach it here in the Philippines. Pretty nice ebike cargo. Love it.

    Thanks for the video! One remark: in the manual of my maxi cosi baby seat, it instructs us to leave the handle positioned upwards for safety purposes. I'm pretty sure you should do the same with yours while riding.

    Hi, thank you for your video!
    I've noticed a bike rack on one of your cars. Have you tried to transport UA on a rack at all? I was thinking if a motorcycle rack could be something that would be possible to use?

    Could you write what kind of side bags are those? I am especially interrested in the mounting system. UA rear rack pipes have unusual diameter but here it seems to fit prefectly.

    Thank you for your feedback on a bike! I've noticed you have a bike racks on one of your cars. Have you tried to transport it on a rack at all (e.g. on a motorcycle carrier)?

      No the wheelbase is too long. You need a pickup truck or a cartop rack that can support the weight.

    • @T13Nemo
      @T13Nemo 2 роки тому

      @@aktechstack than you for your reply! Yeah, 2.6m total length also worries me as my car is 2m wide, so it seems I'll have about a foot on each side.
      Nonetheless, motorcycle carriers can accommodate that.
      I'm surprised as I cannot find anyone who tried this and posted their feedback

      I've also transported my UA in my Honda Odyssey *with* two captain seats in place with rear facing car seats. It fits! (I dropped down the cockpit with a single easy adjustment).

    I get confused on assist. Some bikes you can push a button and you dont need to peddle. Some you have to or it's your choice.
    This looks cool. I would love to try a a long distance trip while camping. Use a solar panel or small generator to charge.

      Most of modern e-bikes are so called pedelecs with electric assistance. If you just use a throttle without pedelec, that's anonther type of vechicle - in Europe they are not legally bikes but mopeds. In US there is no legal standarization, so it differs. Solar panel would not generate enough power to charge such battery in few hours.

      You just select the type of assistance you would like. (eco, tour, sport). For long distances i would recommend a dual battery set-up.

    what issues did you encounter with the bike? there must be some negatives points, right?
    (I'm a big fan of UA, and considering Shorty model)

      I would say the gear change grip can be a bit difficult to turn sometimes. The bike is big so it takes a bit of time to get used to turning and getting started. It would be nice to have 40+ miles of range.

      They are expensive, I have this one and is €5500 without extras. therefore they are very popular with thieves.

    Hi! Really good video. A question, could an adult (rather small) ride in the box while using the maxi cosi baby seat? Or is it to little leg room under?

    • @downshift-handcraftedbikes7742
      @downshift-handcraftedbikes7742  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the comment! I think it would be extremely difficult with the bench seat installed. If you removed the bench seat and were very small it might be possible. Hope that helps!

      @@downshift-handcraftedbikes7742 thanks! Good to know, removing the seat is a good idea.
      But you can also adjust the baby seat to max height i guess?

      @@svedjenaeva As far as I know there is no height adjustment

      Hi, question from two years ago. The answer is yes, you can. Assuming the adult is small enough. My 5ft wife can fit along with our baby in his car seat.

    I have one, works fine but it is very heavy compared to other cargo bikes, with aluminum they can easily reduce 8 kgs which will make it better, lighter etc
