    As a Danish person, from a country where are you literally start biking Right after the ability to walk, it hurts my eyes seeing a seat in such a wrong position. 😂 but if it helps getting people on the bike and out of the car I’m all in for it😁👌🏼❤️

      This model is intended for moms bringing kids to Steiner schools that decorate the box with plastic flowers..... It's a motorcar that evades car and parking rules by needing a tiny bit of leg pressure.

    Good advice to ride your cargo bicycle without kids first to get used to the bicycle and how it handles. This is a good idea no matter if it's a long nose bakfiet like the Urban Arrow or a long tail like the Xtracycle. Good informative video.

    I like your method of explaining, the do’s and don’ts . All your videos are broken down into interesting and informative tips. Keep up the good work 😷👌

      @@BikeShopGirl thank you, but the Urban Arrow is to big for my living quarters. I am a folding bike user, but have been very impressed with your videos.

      What type of folding bike do you have?

      Bike Shop Girl At the moment I have a E-life folding electric bike and a hard tail mountain bike ( unfortunately my grandson is a fortnite junky) one of my sons has my Marin alpine trail. Thinking about getting a 6 speed Brompton. I live in the Pennines, you can not go 300 meters in any direction without going up or down a hill. Unless you can get on the moors, which I can no longer do (knees and old age plus if I did my family would kill me,if I survived) .

    Also always make sure you take the key with you, if your bike is stolen with the key in it, the insurance will deny the claim

    This is very helpful, thanks! I don’t think my LBS programmed my key number to the motor or ran a diagnostic. I haven’t been able to reach them, possibly because of the shut down. Is there anything I can do to program it myself?

      Unfortunately a bosch dealer has to plug in to do this.

      @@BikeShopGirl Do you know if there is open-source replacement software? The only downside of the Bosch stuff, is the propriatary software. For example, now it can't show distance AND time.... Wheras viewing the speed is totally useless.

    Thanks for the really helpful video. If only these bikes weren't so expensive. They seem great, just way too much. I could buy a motorcycle for what they're asking.

    • @BikeShopGirl
      @BikeShopGirl  4 роки тому +1

      This really depends on your needs. (As a previous motorcycle mechanic/rider) you can’t carry 3 kids on a motorcycle. This is a car replacement for many which makes them seem much more affordable. As a toy or recreational vehicle, yes they are expensive (still cheaper than many mountain bikes)

      @@BikeShopGirl Fair point, but if I can replace gold with copper for a specific task, that doesn't make the copper more valuable. It's still just copper.

    • @cneubauer2
      @cneubauer2 2 роки тому

      @@THE-X-Force don't forget that you save money over time by foregoing any major insurance premiums, title and registration fees, and of course the savings by not using gas. none of these can be avoided on a motorcycle any more than a car. the value isn't relative dollar-to-dollar at cost; it's the investment that matters.

    • @THE-X-Force
      @THE-X-Force 2 роки тому

      @@cneubauer2 It's not about the motorcycle blah blah blah .. The point was the thing is INSANELY overpriced. $7,000? You can get a good bike, electric, with a trailer or whatever that attaches to the back .. be on your way .. and *STILL* have 4 grand left in your pocket. This is NOT worth seven thousand dollars.

    • @cneubauer2
      @cneubauer2 2 роки тому +1

      @@THE-X-Force look i'm not saying it's not expensive, certainly even on the cargo-bike spectrum it's fairly costly (though average for ebikes). but again, if you only look at the price 1:1 compared to x/y/z transportation method, you're not making a fair comparison, short- or long-term. airplanes are expensive to use. cars are expensive to buy and drive. this isn't a backpack or a trailer... it's supposed to reduce a family's need to drive a car, which could easily be recouped in a year or two of regular use running errands and kid transport. it's completely possible (or even expected) that that "4 grand left in your pocket" would just get eaten up by the costs of running your second vehicle anyways.

    I recently purchased an UA secondhand from a neighbor who upgraded himself. Your video was helpful, thank you! This i the first I heard about associating a phone number with the motor. Do you know if it is possible to have the phone number changed? I imagine that might be difficult, as that could defeat the purpose!

    • @BikeShopGirl

      As long as you can show a shop you properly purchased it, you should be able to.

    Thank you so much for these videos! I'm looking to buy an UA, but we have an incline coming out of our neighborhood and a very busy street I need to cross at the top. I presently ride the RadWagon and use the throttle to get moving since it has a very high center of gravity and can get very wobbly. How does the UA do on hills, especially when getting started on an incline? We don't have a lot of hills, but there are 2 that we frequently ride that are no joke. We'll be traveling to test it out soon, but I'm concerned about the absence of a throttle. Thanks! - Jessica aka Posh Cyclist

    • @BikeShopGirl

      The good news is any bike with an internally geared hub allows you to shift when you are stopped. So, if you have to get started on an incline you can shift to an easier gear before you get started.
      Depending on the size of the hill, I would ensure you get a Cargo Line Motor or Performance CX motor for the most assistance.
      Enjoy!

    Really, you recommend to follow the stupid Bosch procedure to chain the motor to a customer so reselling is forbitten? Maybe you should make a vid about the problematic chases with the bosch motors.
