I do not have a compressor
Cinturato All Road Gravel Tyre 700x35c nightmare to fit to rim. Any videos on the best way to fit these?
QUESTION Is using tape on a rim just as good as a rim that is made to be tubless. Or is it just about the tires
Bad Demonstration, you didnt even Show all the different light modes....
Straight to the point. No BS here. Love it!
I started commuting by bike in the 80s . Initially it was I started at 7am and there was no public transport to there . I started on a muddy fox mtb lol . In the 90s it was a kona lava dome . These days it’s on a Velo orange and it’s on a cool cycle path and only 3 miles , my initial commute was 7 . It’s the best part of the day , work is great for commuting . I’m lucky to be supported by shower facilities and a bike store
Soldering iron is good for making the tape hole.
Why deleted the hardest part???
I bought an brand new RTL516 , I cant change the blinking mode, i tried many times without success. whats wrong?
I hope I don't reply too late... Varia RTL515: Offers multiple light modes: solid, peloton, night flash, and day flash. Brightness levels vary by mode, with up to 65 lumens in day flash mode. Varia RTL516: Designed to comply with regulations like Germany's StVZO by offering only a solid light mode and reduced brightness. (I think it's about 5 lumens)
yes, you right, only about 5 lumen, i ruterned and bought a new RTL515, and i,m happy with it.
@@josephabraha5779 i bought it too because of this video. But I will have to wait until spring to use it since I am training with my smart trainer inside, during the cold season. Enjoy your purchase. ☺️
Have you tried it on single track?
Very helpful, thanks
Wow, nice and easy to inflate. I've had 2 sets of tubeless wheels/tyres and each set was nothing short of a nightmare to inflate. I must have tried 50 times on each wheel to get it inflated. I did all the tricks - inflate with a tube and leave for 2 days, soapy water round the tyre bead, add sealant into the tyre etc. only through sheer perseverance did I get them up and I have no idea why they would suddenly inflate after so many times leaking air somewhere. Surely there has to be an easier way...
Garbage
How much does it weight?
Hey Stephen - just curious - how does this ride in city traffic? I'm a new yorker looking for something I can weave through traffic with yet still take on gravely rides. I'm almost sold but feel like I need a push. I'm currently looking at the 2022 version with GRX.
I love this bike for city riding. It's a bit more relaxed compred to a typical road / track bike geometry but if you throw some 28 or 30c tires on it you'll love it!
@@aktechstack Sweeeet, thanks so much!
I converted with tubeless rims but the tires are Schwalbe Marathon Mondales 26"x2" and are not tubeless ready. It worked great. I used a tube to set the beads then, then removed the tube leaving one bead in place. One tire filled and seated with a floor pump. The other required a CO2 cartridge. Added sealant through the valve (Filmore) and everything sealed up and has been working well. I believe that if you can make them seal, you're done. All the fearmongering about requiring tubeless tires is nonsense.
What if I don't have a compressor? I need to convert my bike to tubeless but I don't have access to a compressor
If you find a high-volume floor pump (as opposed to a high pressure) it can work.
Works well but bowl is really shallow.
Or rather - none of it s made by State. It's all State stickers on Chinese IP-theft. Shimano/SRAM theft. And generic components overall. Probably Novatec copies or something like it.
What is the difference between the geared and single speed frame? Can you convert either one back and forth? Asking because I prefer this paint job but want a single speed. Thanks in advance
This geared version would be hard to run as a single speed because the rear dropouts / axel are not adjustable for chain tension. You would have to use a chain tensioner to run this frame as single speed.
@@aktechstack thanks
@@aktechstack thanks too lol
Well SBC really let me down, bought one, it didn’t shift so I took it to my LBS, they replaced the cassette and chain and when I told SBC they said we will reimburse you for parts not materials. The bike had one ride of 17 miles and I called SBC 3 days after I got it. I was shocked they wouldn’t pay for labor. Two weeks later the crank arm fell off and shockingly SBC wouldn’t do anything for warranty. Well two weeks later I got an email about a recall that the crank arm may become disengaged so bring the bike to your LBS for full coverage. I’ll never by a SBC bike again, not because of the problems because of how SBC responded to me.
Short and good video, thanks. Does the box include the handlebar mounts or is this extra ?
All parts are included!
Can you open the van doors in the down position? Thx.
Yes but the rack has to be all the way down.
Good manual, thanks! Little remark, 700c is 28", not 29".
Man this is a beautiful bike. I really wish they would bring this color back. The copper brown is nice too though
Go Hokies!
Very detailed instruction) Thks
State parts = Sensah!
*Looked at a lot of options for getting my **Latest.Bike** . Great find in SAVA. Super light, nice components, really good value as it comes with many options only found in much higher priced bikes.*
Did you end up getting a SAVA bike? How has it hold up?
Great video, super idea for mak9ng the valve hole via heating a hot metal point. Could of spent a little more time showing the sealant an how you know how much 2-3oz is. But otherwise great detail 👌🏻 👍🏼
I'm hoping I can do it in 11:08, just like you. ;-)
33:14 Man I was riding on Colonial the other day, and passed the intersection with Wonju. I feared for my life hahaha. I was hugging the edge of the road and some guy still hunked at me even though the road is marked up pretty clearly that it's a shared lane. Then some lady trying to turn left into Wonju almost drove right into me bcause she wouldn't wait for me and my wife to cross the intersection. Sketchy stuff haha. Great video!
So I got one and a 530 and unwisely dumped all the stuff in one box so now I'm trying really hard to figure out how to mount the thing, so THANK YOU for at least showing me which ziplok bag has the stuff!!! Its video talks about pads and I don't see pads.... I know it's "so easy it's obvious" so I'm going to stop thinking so hard...
does the sealant stay liquid on the inside? how would changing to a new tire be? pretty messy?
Yes and Yes. If you have a way to keep the tire "upright" and in the shape of round it can stay inside pretty easily.
On the crosswalk topic: in France if a pedestrian does not make eye contact with the driver of a vehicle and gets hit in the crosswalk it is the pedestrians poor risk management practice.
Just did my tires after a teeny thorn caused a slow leak. This video helped a lot. I didn't have any problems.
Nice video.. will have to visit when I am in Roanoke
Great v guy, explained simply 👏
Who needs AXS when you got this? By the way love your shifter placement. By far the best and cleanest I’ve seen.
What size is that?
I heard that the handlebars are positioned very low? Did you find this to be the case?
It may just be how they are mounted by the dealer. By setting the stem in the upward position, it makes the fit feel normal or elevated.
Nice setup, I like how you have it installed under the top tube. Also looks like you need to true that rear wheel.
You try to give the video more brightness it will be great if you do
Can a 2x chainring be used?
Yes but you would need to add the shifter and derailleur
@@aktechstack tensioner too i think which would lose you the efficiency of ss
I live in a hilly area. How well Does it do when climbing up hills?
It excels at hills!
what about waterproofing
how did you do it can you share with me , thank you
Finding a hard time getting a center kickstand for this frame..they dont have those middle bolts installations...
There aint nothing "super" about a cheapo, sweat shop made imported bike. Try riding a real "super bike" before making such ridiculous reviews.
Yes the only real "super" bikes are the ones made by hand out of locally mined Iron ore that are welded using 24k gold and diamond crusted lugs. Get over yourself.
@@aktechstack they aren't wrong, all these items are made in China. You could piece this bike together yourself for the same price from Ali. Definitely not super. Also the brakes are terrifying.
Sounds like we have a bike snob here, most bike frames are made in China now days. I am guessing you are one of those who ride a $3k or more expensive gravel bike and are sure to tell everyone how expensive the bike is. Seems like you may also be into crossfit, vegan, and overlanding.
I got me one, it's awesome!
